thank you <3 im doing well, recovering from surgery and going everyday to visit them. on monday they will be transferred to our local hospital. other than missing my littlies, im going well and was able to get up and move about pretty quickly which was great since i spent 15 days on hospital bed rest after rupturing my membranes.

Must be so hard to be away from them :hugs: Glad you're recovering so well from the surgery! That bed rest must've driven you bonkers! Bet you're busy getting every last thing ready for them to come home (when you're not with them of course!) <3 <3 <3

Congratulations blue they are both gorgeous. I'm glad you're recovering well and I hope you have your two little ones home soon xxx

Oh Bella, I am so sorry that you are having a rough time. :hugs: I am right there with you hunny.

I am sick- AGAIN- and today my left ear is blocked and I can't relieve the pressure to save my life. I have also acquired a fair amount of swelling in my hands, feet, and face so my doctor and I have things to talk about on Tuesday. I am also getting my strep b swab done so I am honestly hoping that she will check for dilation seeing as she's going to be poking around anyway.

We had a party for my second yesterday, she turns 3 tomorrow. I was pretty much comatose afterwards :haha:

I am 36 weeks along today. I just want her out. :(

Sorry to hear that you are sick as well flou! We're at the end though and your little one will be here soon <3
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Your twins are perfect, Blue!
Wishing you quick healing and hopefully those babies come home soon <3

Blue congrats on your twins. Cant wait to hear when they get to go home with you!

Sweet- sorry to hear your sick...again nonetheless. I have been praying to not get sick especially at this point. I work at a school and it seems the stomach bug is making its rounds right now. Hopefully you get to feeling better soon.

AFM- i feel like i should be getting things together to have my hospital bag packed and every night i say i need to start and every night i go to bed and its still not started. I am having a horrible time deciding what to bring baby home in and what outfit to get pictures in. I feel like we need to have a little bit of newborn stuff in case ultrasound is wrong but also need to have 3 month stuff in case its right. I have a follow up appt tomorrow and then a follow up u/s on the 29th. I cant believe we are finally nearing the end of our pregnancies. I cant lie i am beyond ready. I attached my big bump picture...honestly pics dont do justice how big my belly is

jlmeans, don't wait too long! :haha:
I definitely get it though. I ended up calling one of my best friends because I had washed everything, but I hadn't put anything away or packed the hospital bag. She sat with me in my room for hours while we sorted everything into sizes and folded it all away to the appropriate areas. She helped me pick out 3 outfits with feet attached (onesies) and 3 outfits that would need socks in both Newborn and 0-3 sizes. She helped me coordinate hats, mittens, undershirts, and bows with everything.

We packed them into ziploc bags to save space and labeled them so they are easy to find in the hospital bag. Once we got baby's stuff packed, she went over everything I would need and we got that packed too!

If you have anyone at all that could help you, I definitely recommend it. :) I am so out of sorts for this one and it would have never happened without her. :haha: My husband is absolutely useless with this kind of thing because he just says everything is great. 10/10 he would just dress the children in wrapped towels if I let him for convenience.

Also, your bump is adorable!

At my appointment yesterday, I found out that I am 70% effaced and 2 cm dilated. I have never had any such progress this early before, so I can't help but hope that maybe I won't have to wait the full 40

Sweet- love the suggestion on packing things in gallon bags as far clothes go thats such a great idea. How awesome to know your already 2cm dilated.

Right now we are montoring my blood pressure. Last appt (monday) it was 161/104. The doctor said it could have been her or the cuff but she wasnt 100% sure. When she checked at the end of my appt with a different cuff it was 138/90. I now have to go back next weekend instead of 2 weeks. If still elevated she will do blood work. Not really sure what to expect from there. This is the first pregnancy I had where blood pressure was a concern.

In my first two full pregnancies, my blood pressure was a concern. With both, once they decided it was too high, they scheduled inductions. My inductions were at 39 and 40 weeks though. I am sure that they will want to monitor you very closely if you keep getting high readings.

Blue congratulations - your little ones are gorgeous! Hopefully you can all be together soon!

I’ve been stalking for the past month or so, my fingers are so swollen I can barely type anything. I gather that everyone is as well as can be expected for a group of waddling, cranky, tired women in pain. I wish you all the best in the following days and weeks - I’m 38+3 so not much longer, I suppose.

I just got out of my 35 week appt (2 days early) and we found out baby girl is now breech. She was head down for the last 5 weeks and now she changes on me! The doc told me next week if she is still head up we will schedule me for a manual flipping (ECV). Which could result in an emergency c-section or it might not take and would end up in a 39 week c-section... or sooner if she comes on her own. Decisions decisions. I really did not want to have a csection!!!

Explains all the crazy movement I have been experiencing lately and the period pains/back aches.

UGH Sweet, that sucks! I hope you're feeling better now??

jlmeans - I am in the same boat with the hospital bag!! I keep putting it on the back burner & now it's come up in my pregnancy apps - "pack that hospital bag" and I'm like UGH lol!!! Too much other stuff to do  I am NOT ready to have this baby (although my body is! :haha: ) Beautiful bump pic!!

Sweet - that's SUCH a good idea! I've finally gotten my newborn clothing out of the attic. I'm in denial about possibly needing 0-3 month clothing despite the fact that my son didn't fit in his newborn outfit coming home :haha: I just didn't want to have to go through THAT clothing too! My daughter is going to be 6 in a couple of weeks, so her baby clothes have those mystery yellow stains on them that tend to come out after storage, despite being clean before I boxed them up  Thankfully, Oxiclean seems to be helping. It's just one more step that's a pain to have to take care of! Yay for being dilated & effaced a bit! Hope baby comes soon for you!!! <3

jlmeans - Oof! :hugs: Any new news on the blood pressure??

Keepin - Hope you're feeling better & give birth soon!

UGH hoping!!! Hoping that baby flips for you!

Just a quick update that I had my baby boy Henry on Friday 19th. I was admitted to hospital with high blood pressure on the 15th, which the doctors struggled to stabilise. So as I was 37 weeks they decided to bring forward my csection to the 19th. Henry only weighed 5lb13oz but he's doing great. My blood pressure is still elevated so we are still in hospital but hoping to be home soon.

I had a follow up today. Blood pressure still elevated but not to extreme yet so we are continuing to monitor. I kow have to have weekly stress test which let me tell you is not fun. We have cut back my hours this week to 4 hours a day to see if not being on my feet 7.5-8 hours a day helps. I go back on Monday for another stress test, ultrasound to check babys weight and to check blood pressure. If its still high she's writing men out of work because she doesn't want this to progress to more.

Flou congratulations - he is so cute and I love the name! Hope you get to take him home real soon ❤️

Good luck with the blood pressure JL! I stopped working as of this Tuesday. I have weekly appts and not feeling so hot myself lately.
