Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Hey Ladies!

Maybe wow you are a busy lady again!!

L-C I'm glad work wasn't too bad :hugs: One of the girls who I worked with has gone back to work this week too - her baby is only six months old :( She put on Facebook that she was so upset all day at work that she left early in the end, she sounded so sad about it :(

Not much happening here, but a really gorgeous day again!! It's Steve's son's 16th Birthday today so he's come up for the morning, they have just gone to buy his Birthday pressie. This afternoon Steve is going to do more work on the garden (its really coming on now!) so Oliver and I will keep him company and maybe go for a walk :)

I could do with getting some house work done at some point too if I get chance!!

I hope everyone is having a fun weekend!

the worst thing is being busy but then not having much to show fir it at the end of the day :dohh: where there's kids there's always mess!

we had a nice time out it was so warm and sunny!!! i took bubble stuff and the older kids had fun blowing bubbles and getting covered in bubble mixture :haha: owen and erin are bathed, dylan's in the bath and now just supper and then they're ready for bed and i can have a sit down

hmmmm owen is chasing after a large bouncy ball and trying to pick it up in his mouth like a dog! he's now letting go of furniture and standing on his own for a few seconds! :)

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend with this lovely weather? :)

God, i'm absolutely knackered!

Manchester was ok, but Roh wouldn't settle to sleep, so we were up most the night on wednesday. The funeral wasn't bad, although it was a full catholic mass, so it was over an hour long! Roh was very well behaved really, he had his lunch, and a little play, and babbled most of the way through the service, apparently quite loudly, as everyone told him how nice his singing was afterwards  Ah well, his great grandad would have loved having him there chatting away, so i didn't mind :) I did only stay in for about 40 minutes though as Roh was getting bored, so we went for a walk. The wake was fine, but the room was boiling hot, and there was nowhere i could put Roh down to play. He was very well behaved, but i was shattered by the end, especially as OH was off talking with his family the whole time, so i was left basically carrying Roh about all day. It was a bit tiring.

We just got back from Devon, which has been lovely! :cloud9: Roh adores my mum's dog, and spends the whole time laughing at her, its very cute :) The joint birthday party was really great fun :D Roh has been so well behaved all weekend :cloud9: He's had loads of cards and presents, lucky little chap! We went on a walk on the moors this morning, and when we got there i realised i'd left the baby carrier behind :dohh: and also that we don't have a sun hat for Roh  So, he spent the walk on OH's shoulders, with a bandana made from a muslin  It was lovely though, and its the same walk i did with my mum when i was 34 weeks pregnant! It was alot easier this time :haha:

I'm really excited that its Roh's birthday tomorrow :happydance: We've bought him a little Makka Pakka toy, as he really likes him, and a card, and thats all really  After all the excitment this week, we plan to have a quiet and pretty normal day. We've decided we'll go to the park, and go and get the fruit smoothies that i wanted to get just before my waters broke exactly a year ago, I still haven't had one of those fruit smoothies! :haha:

Well, i'm really tired, and i need a bath, so i'll go off, then hopefully come back and catch up with all the posts i've missed

:hugs: to you all!

sounds like roh has been a really good boy :cloud9: glad you had a nice time on holiday!!! smoothies sound like a lovely idea. i hope roh has a great 1st bday! :cake: time flies!!!

Emera it sounds like you had a lovely time in Devon, and I absolutely LOVE what you are doing for Roh's birthday! How perfect! And I'm sure he will adore his Makka Pakka :) I just can't believe its a year . . . are you feeling all nostalgic? :hugs:

Maybe I'm a breastfeeding champion now too!

My goodness, a year has flown by! Hope Roh has a great birthday :)
Oooohhh how do i get to be a bf champion????????
xx
PS JUst off to look up Makka Pakka now as i have no idea!!! My poor child has a very 'out of the fashion' mummy I fear :(

sarah - :happydance: for bf champion status!

mork - u just have to be bf 6 months. look at the bf section there's a thread there

dylan and erin used to love in the night garden but they monopolise the tv now and don't let owen watch cbeebies :haha: they want to watch scooby doo and mr bean on boomerang!

Oliver doesn't watch much baby TV really, I'll sometimes put it on and I sky plussed lots of episodes of Elmo's World because I find it funny :haha:

owen doesnt sit still to watch much! dylan and erin love the tv on all day but are not really watching it but have it in the background. if anyone turns it over tho they have a fit!!!

We havent shown much interest in the tv here - although sadly she recognises the theme tune to the Gilmore Girls and dances through it - she will even stop feeding if it plays!! lol!! Think she finds the cats much more entertaining :)
x

Haha, yes the cat is certainly Oliver's favourite source of entertainment too :haha:

Maybe why don't you just tell him that since he's had a year and still hasn't got it, you are just going to order a brand new one and have it delivered, so he won't have to worry about collecting the old one. Thats what I'd do - just have a nice new one delivered!

Oh, and Maybe you have to make out like you're ordering a new one as a favour to him, so it saves him a job :haha:

I like Sarah's idea! Maybe I can't believe that Danny hasn't got you the cot yet!

I have taken away the bottles and Bobby is now drinking milk from the cup. It's been a pretty hellish week and a half to get here. I really wanted him to switch to the cup before he turned one and because I am starting work next month I knew it wouldn't happen unless we started working on it now.

I bought Bobby a shopping cart from amazon and he has been walking with it. It so cute  I was very nervous at first following him around but he soon showed me that he knows what he is doing :haha: He goes so fast it it! It's funny though because he will never go up to it himself but if I place him by it he gets interested again. He has been crawling on his knees since he was 10 months old but that doesn't seem to have made lose interest in cruising either.

I am have sold of quite a few of Bobby's pocket nappies as I have to stuff the insert (the absorbent part) and I am getting so fed up with that now so I figured it would be a total PITA by the time I start work. I am sticking to the type that has the inserts sewn in (All in One) and have been a lot happier doing this.

Bobby has been waking up a few times in the evening but settle back down on his own relatively quickly. No middle of the night wakings though. Still no Mamamama :( Lots of Dadadas and dididas and many other combinations

I will be going to the post office today to send out a few of the sold nappies and go to the deli to buy some things for lunch. We might go to the park today if the weather is nice.

Hope you all have a nice day! I am going to try and catch up of everyone's posts once Bobby is napping.

Take care :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

i said to him last night to get it! he's only working til 2pm this week so no excuse really! am fed up of asking :dohh:
