mork - i can soooooooooooo empathise. owen's always like that witH bf at night. it is exhausting! hope it's just a phase for you. i am considering CC as it's been months here like that!

sarah - great bargains owen's chickenpox are all scabby now so we're off contageous status now

Oh my god!!!!! THE COT!!!!!! So does sleep training start soon? Is it going in your room or are you moving him into his own?

YES! The cot does exist i was all set to start the sleep training and then owen started running a temperature this afternoon so i bf him and he fell asleep on the boob. then i put him in the cot. he woke about 15mins later (about 10mins ago) and i went in and turned him on his side and patted his bum and sung to him and he went back down quite quickly (about 2mins) we shall see how the rest of the night pans out! oh and sarah he is in with me as we only have a 3 bedroom and so he will eventually share with dylan but not til he sleeps better as i dont want him crying in dylan's ear (though the only thing that separates my room from dylan's is a thin wall

Sarah :happydance: for holidays. Glad the wedding went well. That's so cute that Oliver combs his hair and is doing so many new things.
Emera hope the molars appear soon. How many teeth does he have now?

Mork sorry to hear you are having a tough time at night. Is she trying to do something at the moment? The reason I ask is that when Oliver was trying to crawl his sleep went funny for a few weeks (during the day he would be trying to crawl but instead kept pushing himself backwards and then he would get very upset and frustrated) and he kept waking up at night. He didn't want to feed but he did always want a cuddle. As soon as he mastered crawling his sleep went back to normal (bed around 7pm, quick feed around 3am and bed until around 7:30am).

I have posted in the weaning forum about Oliver as he has a suddenly started to gag and cry during a meal. Here is the link if any of you can help please.

Maybe - THE COT!!! Finally

Muddles - Roh has 8 teeth now, all the front ones, he's showing all the signs of teething, so i'm assuming its his molars making a start. I don't hold out much hope of it being a quick proccess though. Ah well, my neice just got all her incisors through, so she's finished teething, and she's 10 months older than Roh, so thats my benchmark, only 10 months to go!
Oh, we had a poo incident the same as Oliver's yesterday Gross!

Mork - Poor you My mum told me right from when Roh was born, everything is a phase, nothing lasts for too long. Its something i always try and remember when Roh is having a bad sleeping phase. Its easy to lose perspective when you are tired, and it feels like its lasting forever! to you, hope it passes soon!



Well, Roh has decided that he won't take the normal route to walking, and has started perfecting the art of walking on his knees Strange child, I really must get it on video, he looks so funny


I'm shattered from work!

We are going to the city farm tomorrow morning I'm slightly reluctant, as i've got stinking hayfever this year, luckily i only get it with the tree pollen, not grass too, so its only for May ( well and April ). I've bought some tablets, so i'll dose up before we go

Emera awww how cute is the knee walking Oliver has started doing a wierd thing when he crawls, he kind of crawls along on his knee on one leg but on his foot on the other, its sooooo biazarre and he doesn't go in a very straight line He doesn't do it all the time but its pretty funny.

I soooo feel your pain re the hay fever - at least you can take something though!! I have another summer of no meds due to bf'ing. I never had hayfever when I was younger (my sister had is really, really bad) but every year now it seems to get a bit worse!!

Oh, and Emera the City Farm sounds fab!!! Oliver saw a baby goat on the TV earlier and he was going mad, shouting and staring at the tele There is a farm type thing near here, I think we should probably take him, though he'll probably squeel and make all the animals run away

Sarahwoo Oliver does that crawl too where he has one knee on the floor and one foot. It is funny. If he is in a rush to get to something then he kind of crawls a bit then puts his knees together and kind of drags himself along the floor a bit. It is usually accompanied by a strange humming noise babies are so funny.

owen woke twice and settled in the cot but the 3rd time he wouldnt and was hot and sweaty in the grobag so i got him out and stripped him to his bodysuit and wrapped him in a thin blanket and bf him. when he was asleep i transferred him to the cot. let's see how long that lasts. i cant really do sleep training if he's not 100% well.

i should go to bed now as it's 11.30pm and am tired but i still have the kitchen to clean

ugh! another waking. that totals 4 in under 3 hours. had to bf him this time too. he's back in his cot now and i'm off to clean the kitchen!

Oliver completely refuses to sleep in growbags these days, I'm not sure why but if I put him in one he just cries and then is really unsettled all night, so I've stopped using them and gone back to blankets, which he just kicks off

Well I've had an admin night, so I've been catching up with emails, chasing contacts, that kind of thing, and I think I'm on top of things now. I should think so too - I need to go to bed!!!
