Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Maybe: Sorry to hear the sleeping was a fluke :hugs:

Amy: That Dr is such an unbelievable jerk :hissy:

Bobby slept very well yesterday waking up at 8am (bliss!) but slept badly last night. He woke up 2.45am and seemed really hungry, he tried to throw himself into the highchair, and ate one and half bowls of readybrek, a whole sippy cup of milk and four strawberries. I put him back in bed but I could hear him from our bedroom talking to himself at some points and singing. I don't know when he fell asleep again but it wasn't for a while. He woke up this morning at 9 though and he seems to be in a good mood.

muddles - oh dear! I hope the door is OK now! We still have loads to do on our house and we've been here for 5 yrs :dohh::haha:

maybe - dont lose heart, it might be two steps backward one step forward kind of thing! fingers crossed for tonight! :hugs:

modo - gosh he was hungry in the night! very sweet that he was singing to himself afterwards :cloud9:

Alex was still grumpy yesterday and a little bit stroppy today. If he doesnt get his own way he throws himself backwards, no matter where we are! He was at least more loving today, I was beginning to think he hated me :( his nose has a definate bump now but he is still handsome to me.

Thanks Amy! Thinking back I think he went to sleep right away and woke up again singing. He did it again today woke up 4am, ate and went straight back to bed. Neither Ben nor I have managed to get back to sleep :(

Bobby leans back but doesn't yet throw himself. He doesn't hate you hon :hugs: :hugs: I have had similar thoughts with Bobby recently :(

Modo - its hard isnt it! I used to be able to say "do you want a cuddle?" to Alex when he was upset and he'd come to me and snuggle up but lately he's just screamed more and thrashed around wherever he's thrown himself if I say it  he was more himself again today though :( bloomin MMR - I wish I had delayed it like I did with the girls. I read the measles part can cause irritability at 2 weeks post injection so I am sure thats it but I think its just a bit easier to reason with them when they are a few months older. My girls had it at 18 months. I can empathise with the sleep depravation today also! :hugs: Alex was also awake at 4.30am and I have felt like death all day. Fingers crossed we both get more sleep tonight!

Alex has developed an obsession with Pingu - we have a couple of old DVDs in our room and he calls it "pup", he was awake at 4.30 am pointing at the TV saying "pup, pup pup". I was so tired and hoped he'd drift off again but an hour later I relented and put it on  He was better again today but still grumpy at times. Day 12 was the worst post MMR blues day for us. Unfortunately we were at the beach and he fell onto the stones from the beach hut - there are 2 steps up to it so it could have been worse but I felt terrible because I took my eyes off him for a minute to get a biscuit :( I was shaking because I was so scared after the nose trauma but luckily (touch wood) he was fine and just very shocked. He did cry a lot  he's so much more into things than the girls were and its constant!

Hope everyone else is ok - very quiet in here :flower:

Oh Amy :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

I totally know what you mean about Alex being really in to everything, Roh is exactly the same, its exhausting! I was sort of getting to thinking that it was just how babies were, but now i look after my friend's little girl, i can see that Roh is just a bit of a maniac! He has no fear at all, i walked in the living room the other day to see him fall from the second to top shelf of the bookcase, thats above my head height! He fell onto the sofa, laughed and rolled off the sofa and carried on playing! Whilst i had a little sit down and tried not to freak out  I've no clue how he climbs the bookcase, its not like there are obvious steps or anything, he's like a mountaineer! It's only a matter of time before he really hurts himself, i can't have my eyes on him 24/7
I had my friend's little girl today, and i went to make myself a cup of tea and they both followed me, then when i finished making it i realised they were gone and could here giggling from the bedroom, they were both on my bed bouncing and giggling :dohh: would have been cute if they didn't both have smushed banana in their hands :haha:

It is quiet in here! I've not been about as i've been feeling really unwell. I have dreadful nausea, and i'm just exhausted all the time! I'm taking it as a good sign, but still, i feel rubbish, so i'm just lying down watching movies / tv or sleeping in the evening. I come on here to read posts, but i'm failing to summon the energy to reply  I should make more of an effort! Anyway, hopefully i won't be feeling so bad in a few weeks time

:hugs: all round !

emera - its hard being pregnant with an active toddler. i felt awful the first few months with erin and owen's pregnancy. it's tough not being able to rest, especially as work is also in the mix :hugs:

amy - :hugs: PM me if you need to talk! hope the mmr blues finish soon!!!

modo - at bobby and the midnight feasts!!! hope he drops them soon!!!

well owen is also into everything. he can climb the ladder of dylan's raised bed  am so tired  have slept just over 3hrs and owen decided 6.30am was wake up time!!!

last night i went to an ann summers party. it was a laugh and good to get out. afterwards a few of us stayed on for a drink but i felt geriatric as the average age of people in the bar was 16/17!!! even my SIL who's 21 felt old :haha: so i went home for a cuppa and then bed. dylan woke twice and owen woke 3 times between 1 and 6.30 so am in need of serious sleep! no chance of that tho! tonight we are taking the kids to a theme park in benalmadena which means a super late night of 2-3am. maybe can catch some  in the car!!!

danny's gone off to work and decided he doesnt want to go to the theme park so now i'm left to tell kids we're no longer going :nope:

i'm glad we ended up not going to the theme park in the end as soooooo tired!!! got chinese takeaway and trying to find something decent on tv!!! we'll go to the theme park at the end of the month.

emera - its totally exhausting! I love Alex to pieces but like you say you cant watch them 24/7! Roh sounds like a right little acrobat :haha: I'm sure its a boy thing rather than baby, as much as I know they are all different. Holly was happy to sit and let the world come to her, Emily was a bit more on the go but she'd be happy to push a pram around from an early age. Alex just wants to explore and press buttons and climb and laugh at me when I say no! :dohh:
I'm so sorry you are feeling rubbish, I still go with my original prediction that its a girl :winkwink: I'm sure its a good sign as it means your hormone levels are really high  I had the same with my girls and the first trimester felt like forever. Hope you feel better soon xx :hugs: xx

maybe - nom nom I really want chinese takeaway now! I hope the gang were'nt too upset about missing the amusement park this time :hugs: at least they can look forward to when you do go

modo - hope you had a better night :hugs:

sarah - not sure if you sneak a peek at this at all but hope you are having a lovely holiday :hugs:

I'm pleased to say that although Alex had a bit of a wakeful night he slept in till 9am and was absolutely gorgeous today :happydance::cloud9: the MMR blues are over :happydance: he's been cuddly and kissy and back to his jolly self and I am so relieved! we went to Chatham Dock Yard today and had fun exploring the museums and ships there.

amy - glad alex is back to his normal chatty self :)

we have a kiddies party in a local soft place area today at 11.30am. then later maybe the beach!

:grr: why does he think it's ok to leave me alone to deal with the 3 kids whilst he stays in bed :growlmad: it's so unfair :nope: i told him i had a headache too and wsa tired from the 3 times i got up between 1am and 6am with Owen :grr:

Sorry everyone have had a busy few days. Trying to finish my uni application and get it sent on time. I need to find my degree as they want a copy of it. They require two references and one has to be academic. I graduated 10 year ago from the US (oh my God that just sank in ) so I don't know who would remember after all the time :dohh: I can get two references from my former bosses (from 2010) without any problems. I hope they accept that.

Bobby doesn't say anything yet but he will hand me things if I ask for them. I will say "Bobby give that to Daddy" and he will give him the object in his hands. He will also give things to me and cutest of all our dog. I gave him a sock and asked him to give it to XiuXiu (Shushu) and he walked towards her and gave her the sock :cloud9:

We figured out Bobby wasn't eating much for dinner. So now right before bed I make him some mash or readibrek and give it to him to eat. We have had no night waking the last two days

Amy: I sort of want to delay the MMR longer now hearing about what Alex went through :( How long was he like that for? Glad Alex is back to normal and you have your happy little boy back :hugs:

Maybe: Sorry to hear that Danny is not giving you any help again :( It's so unfair :nope:

Emera: Wow Roh is a little daredevil  Bobby is pretty naughty and has me on the edge of my seat.

maybe - :hugs::hugs: he thinks its OK because he is selfish :hugs: hope you had a good day despite Danny :hugs:

Modo - Alex was not himself for about 2 weeks after the MMR. The first couple of days he was fine and I thought I'd had it easy but then he went right off his food and got progressively more angry until day 12 where he was unbearable poor little man :( I read its the measles part of the vaccine and it can cause irritability and redcued appetite. Well done for sorting the night wakings with supper! I hope your uni application goes well and you get a place :hugs:

We had a family BBQ today which was nice. I've eaten enough to sink a ship though

Hi everyone.....

I just don't get any time, doesn't help that all I have in the kitchen at the moment is a sink and about 4 inches of dust lol

Really hope you are ok!!!

Amy - I'm so glad your gorgeous boy is back to his old self, family bar-b sounds lush.

Modo - crikey is Bobby having a growth spurt?? Glad you sorted out his midnight munchies. Will isn't saying very, much either but understands so much it's scary. Hope your area is trouble free x

Emera - hope you start to feel better soon, I'm sure it's a good sign. I can't believe's Roh clinbing antics that's very impressive but scary too!!

Maybe - Wahooo to a full nights sleep, I really hope it means more are around the corner!! Sorry to hear Danny is not helping, shifts are rubbish, but I have to do them and still do most of the things I do normally.....

Well my gorgeous boy is covered in chicken pox! Poor thing, seems to be ok in himself and even slept in until 9:30 am on Sunday which was pure bliss. So there is no nursery for him this week and so no work for me, such a shame lol!!! So I'm now off for nearly three weeks!!!!

Oh mork, how have you got ont this month?? I got thrush right at O time and so it's not gone great for us. AF due next weekend as I have a five week cycle.

I am just more in love with Will as the days go by, he's such good fun, I'm ashamed to admit this more more my phase, running around learning new things. He loves planes and gets all excited and rushes up to you to be picked up so he can wave it's just so cute. My Mum bought him a fisher price airplane today to keep him occupied whilst he is contagious.

We are just watching the riots, it's disgusting and very worrying.

Hope you are all ok!!!

I still manage to read and love to hear what you are all up to just never get to type, will try harder.

Lots of love to you all xxxxx

Ergh the riots in london are making me feel sick, and really angry! Those awful awful people, they don't think about anything do they? Burning houses and destroying their own communities! Makes me want to go to their houses and set fire to their stuff and see how they like it, see how much fun it is then!

I really hope any of you in London or anyone's family in London are all ok! :hugs:

:grr: going to go back to shouting at the tv!

Hey ladies,
Hope you are all ok.
L-C - hope the chicken pox arent too awful :(
I have been mia the past couple of days as have been really poorly - actually thought it was ms, but af got me today - a week late :( so on to next cycle for me.
Emera - I totally agree with you re the riots, and i too hope everyone in/near london is ok?
x

LC - unfortunately the night's sleep was a one off and hasnt happened since :( Owen is also very in to planes and picks them up and flies them making 'wooo' noises :haha:

mork - sorry :witch: got you :hugs: better luck this cycle!

emera - how are you feeling these days?

i have an awful sore throat and think owen does too. he's woken 4 times in 2 hours so am not looking forward to the night ahead as he's got his molars coming out too :nope: poor thing! have given him nurofen and actifed but doesnt seem to have done much. he's ok during the day but is coughing loads and that disturbs his sleep more than ever.

LC - lovely to hear from you!! I hope the chicken pox dont cause Will too much grief - enjoy your three weeks off :happydance: I know the feeling of falling more in love each day :cloud9:

mork - boo to AF :hugs: fingers crossed for next month. Hope you are OK :flower:

maybe - poor you and poor Owen :hugs: Alex has three or four molars and each one popped through on a sleepless night. get well soon :hugs:

Holly has a friend over and they've only just gone to sleep after having a "midnight" feast. no doubt they'll be up at 5am!

Oh what a night.....a very itchy and upset boy and a very tired Mummy!!!!

Mork, so sorry to hear the witch got you! Hope you are feeling better.

Amy hope you didn't have a too early wake up call!

Maybe hope your night wasn't as bad as expected and that you are both feeling a bit better xx
