Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Thanks Amy :hugs:

You'll feel like you belong soon! Just give it time honey, on your first day its so normal to feel like a spare part but before you know it you'll be getting to know people, getting to know you way around, feeling more settled and at home :hugs: I bet you're a great nurse :hugs: It sounds like a pretty eventful shift! Did the time pass quickly? :grr: to the stoooopid linen woman :dohh:

PCT isn't coming tonight :happydance: He has lost the parcel shelf for his hire car (he bumped his car so he's got a hire car :dohh:) so he's driving back to Kent to look for it  I mean seriously, who looses a parcel shelf?!?!?! I think he thinks its at his house rather than just in some random location, but you never know :haha:

sarah - i bet he has a conspiracy theory as to what happened to the shelf

amy - i'm sure you'll soon feel more part of the team :hugs:

last night was another awful one :( told dan am not cooking tonight. he's gone to morissons to grab a pizza! posting on my phone whilst supervising bath time. so tired could fall asleep on the floor

Hi

Times flies, me and Will have absolutely stinking colds and I feel terrible. He also has a viral eye infection and so don't think nursery will have him tomorrow. Just to top it off I have gone over on my ankle at work, had to walk five miles in heals on the edge of a cliff urghhhhhh. Was lovely and sunny though!

Goodness knows how I will manage with Will tomorrow, it'll be interesting! The dog had eated my MIL's birthday present from my Mum when I got in arhhhhhhh it was a blooming yankee candle WFT!!!

There is some news though. I suddenly wondered when the witch was due and counted in my diary and bought a test expecting a BFN but............it's a BFP!!!!!!!

Amy - big hugs, it'll pick up hun, what a start though.

Maybe and Amy - boo for so little sleep you poor things I don't know how you do it xxxx Well done maybe for refusing to cook you do enough, my DH is cooking me a lavish dinner tonigh, fish chips and beans yum yum.

I hope you and Will are feeling better soon! at the dog and the Yankie candle!! At least he'll have nice breath :haha:

Maybe I hope you enjoy your Pizza and that the kids sleep well tonight, almost the weekend!!

We've had a lovely day, it's been cold but quite sunny and since the garden is almost done Oliver went and played outside this morning. It was so nice! I got his new sand and water table out but since I forgot to buy playsand I just filled it with cornflakes instead, and no water obviously :haha: It was a great hit though! Oliver thought it was great fun to throw them on the floor and stamp on them, so I had some cleaning up to do :haha: The chickens enjoyed the cornflakes afterwards though  I just love sitting outside with my coat on and a cuppa, I'm so wierd :haha: So we played out for about two hours, we were outside when Steve got up, he thought we'd gone out :haha: Mr PCT was working so we escaped that pleasure :haha: I have to say I feel SO much better about it now that I can come and rant to you ladies about it (sorry about that :haha:) though I am picking my moment carefully with Steve to have a serious word about the smoking

I've been busy with my work lately, I'm trying to get my website higher in the searches and work on my advertising, relations with venues, etc etc. I've also started a new blog today so that I can link to my website on it, and also so I can use it to write about venues etc so that hopefully they will be more inclined to recommend me. So I'm going to do some work on that now

Oliver and I have a play date in the morning that I'm really looking forward to  Its at a soft play place, Oliver and I have never been to soft play so it should be fun!

Hi all -

Huge congratulations LC thats brilliant news!

Amy - I really hope you settle into work soon, I hate starting new places and feeling out of place.

Sarah - Glad mr pct isnt round I wonder what theroy he will come up with for the disapperaing shelf. Saying that my parcel shelf is in the house at the moment after being on holiday I looked at it and wondered how on earth you would lose one?!?

Mork - good luck for this month.

Maybe - hope you ok x x x

Well we have had a lovely day playing in the park and had our wedding gift delivery this evening but we are missing 3 items which is very annoying! and I have no where to put the stuff! I am also back on the diet have put on about 8lbs in the last 10 weeks so I am aiming to lose a stone by christmas to get me to a good weight to start ttc next year.

Hope everyone is ok x x x

LC - :yipee::yipee::yipee::yipee: congratulations!!! how exciting :happydance: hope Will is ok tomorrow :hugs: how are you feeling? any sickness? :flower:

sarah - the cornflakes was genius - I love that  Alex has just a teeny bucketfull of sand left in his - not quite enough for a sandcastle - the rest is all over the garden :haha: glad you had a breather from PCT man :hugs:

H&F - if you have put on weight it doesnt show - you're looking fab  thats so annoying about your undelivered gifts :grr:

Mork - hope its your month :dust: your nephew is sooo yummy - was that at QEQM? I recognise the lovely colourscheme

urgh, I've got another long day tomorrow. but... I have an interview for a nursing job in my town!! Really nervous, its on Sept 26th

Thanks amy, and yes QEQM!!! Did you have yours there? Ooooohhhh interview - fingers toes and everything crossed for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

yes I did :) I wanted to have him at KCH but got induced because of pre-eclampsia. Did you have T there? x

thats crazy!!! I wonder if you were in my bed :haha: I had a lovely midwife deliver me there. I dont know why they painted it such disgusting colours!

yes - there were ants all over the post natal ward  actually there were pre and post natal women in the same ward! I cant remember which delivery room it was - it was a really small one with a little window on the right of the bed and a shower the end of the bed side. I had Emily and Holly at canterbury before it was midwifery led. Did you stay long after you had T? x

I didnt have my own shower :( i had to stay in 3.5 days (too long imo as i hate hospitals!) xx

Ants!!!

My blog looks a bit crap yet but here we go . . .

Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Ben had an op on Wednesday and has been in a lot of pain. They gave him paracetamol as a painkiller and subsequently the site of the operation was far far to painful for him to manage so he didn't care for it well enough and got an infection. He was readmitted to hospital yesterday and given stronger drugs (like morphine) which still didn't touch the pain. He was finally given antiboitics via drip and an analgesic also via drip.

He had been staying in my mom's empty (as in no one is there not that it has no furniture :haha:) because we didn't have hot water (boiler needed a part) and so I didn't see how bad he had gotten. Yesterday, when he called me to tell me he could not walk to the waiting cab outside (he had an appointment to see his doctor) I realised that this was not good. I called an ambulance for him and he was admitted to hospital.

Anyway m sister will be staying the week with me to help me look after Bobby and we will be visiting Ben in a few hours (I'm up now because Bobby woke up hungry).

Yesterday I deiced that my Birthday was cancelled and I will be celebrating it another day of my choosing. Yesterday was just too crap to be a birthday :haha:

I hope you are all doing ok :hugs:
