Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Maybe I hope you have a good week at work!

L-C don't worry about the tutting - I bet half of them have knocked stuff over in the past and they aren't toddlers :haha:

H&F I hope you got your cupboards sorted out!

The wedding went fine, phew! I've got some pics on my camera, I'll pop some up later :) The room looked lovely. I was a bit puzzled though, the bride had said that the flowers were going to be vintage / faded out colours - so a faded dusky pink, a darkish cream, a pale burgundy, and pale green greenary. When I saw the flowers I thought they were for a different wedding! They were a really pale cream - almost white, a baby pink, a really dark burgundy and the leaves etc were all really dark green! So even the original pale gold (which apparently was to match the flowers) was absolutely nothing like, and would probably have looked too pale. I can only think that the flowers were wrong really . . . . they didn't look vintage at all. I even said to my mum they can't be for todays wedding, but she watched the florest bring them in! So after all the worry about the bows not matching the flowers, in the end the flowers wouldn't have matched the bows anyway!

I've got another wedding on Thursday, two on Saturday and one on Monday, so quite a busy weekend! I decided I wanted a steamer, just to get any last minute creases out at the venues, and when I started looking I decided I'd quite like one at home too :haha: So Steve ordered me one of these for my birthday :

I didn't know what else I wanted so its nice to get something thats a) practical and b) useful! I can't wait for it to arrive :haha: You can use it for steralising toys and things too so I think I'll use it quite a lot!

In the past few days Oliver has started making a kissing noise when he blows kisses, and if you ask him for a kiss he'll give you a kiss now, complete with the noise. :cloud9: He gives cuddles on demand now too - its SO cute! He also says 'tree' now and 'duck'. It's so cute when he does new stuff :cloud9:

Oh wow modo that's great news, congratulations!!!! Any idea when you'd be due, I'm five weeks xxx

Before and after pics of yesterdays wedding :flower:

Modo I only found out on Thursday! still can't believe it, definitely want to be bump buddies, the calculator puts me at 17th xx what day was bobby born? will was the 13th of may, can guarantee it'll coincide x

Congratulations modo!!!! Now let's hope that things do come in 3's - you, l-c and .............! Xx

LC: Yay for bump buddies! Bobby was born on the 21 May but was due the 28th. It doesn't seem real yet:haha:

I wish there was an excited screaming smiley - Modo I am sooo pleased for you! Thats lovely news :flower: love your new ticker :cloud9:

Mork - crossing all my fingers and toes that its you next :flower:

sarah - phew for the wedding going well  I bet the bride was pleased, the photos look lovely!

LC - I still havent had Alex's hair cut because I know how different he'll look :haha: he's not allowed to grow up because he's my last baby :haha: love your new little ticker :cloud9:

today was frustrating, I was on a study day but the morning finished early so I had a 2.5hr lunch break. Normally I wouldnt complain but I was on my own and there is nothing around the hospital and I'd rather have come home early but the afternoon session was with different people :dohh: oh well.

Modo- Wow, you must be in shock! Congratulations though, what a birthday present for you! :hugs:

L-C - I realised i don't think i said congratulations to you yet  Congratulations! So nice that you two can be buddies :) I could no way get Roh's hair cut!!! You are brave! If it gets to getting in his eyes i'll trim the front myself, but otherwise i think i'll leave it. I'm too scared. Roh is also being a monster! I think his top two canines are coming through  Poor little man :(

Mork - Sending you lots of :dust: these things are meant to go in threes, so surely you are next on the list. Have a little word with your ovaries :)

Awww, these bfps are making me all smiley :) :)

Amy - Frustrating to have that long break in the middle, especially when its such a trek home :hugs: Sounds like things aren't going too bad though. Already gathering some good vibes for your interview on the 26th here though :winkwink:

Sarah - The picture looks lovely! It looks just perfect. To be honest, the gold looks fairly light to me, its very pretty. Any lighter and they would have looked a bit washed out, if you know what i mean. Good work mrs! I wish i'd thought about chair covers for my wedding, the chairs weren't all that attractive! Ah well, there was loads of things went wrong with my wedding, i didn't really care at the time, and i still don't really, i got a big refund for the mess ups, so yay! :haha:
Its sooo cute about Oliver making kissing sounds, awww, i love it when they learn new stuff too, its adorable! Roh now says "choo-choo" when he sees a train, so sweet! :cloud9:

Maybe - I hope you've survived another monday at work! :hugs:

Ergh, well, i've got back to work blues after the holiday. I really didn't want to do this morning at home without OH here, and then i really didn't want to work myself this afternoon. Roh kept finding things that are OH's and wandering round the house saying "daddy?" and looking for him  As soon as he saw me in my work clothes he wouldn't let go of me, and either just wanted cuddles, or to hold my hand, argh, very hard to leave the house :(

I've got my 16 week mw appointment tomorrow morning, so hopefully should hear a heartbeat! Also have my consultants appointment too, boring! :haha: Its so annoying having to be under consultant care! I'm really hoping they'll decide my risk of another premature labour is low and let me go back to mw led.

emera - hope you get to hear a heartbeat tomorrow :happydance: will you take Roh with you? I'm glad Alex isnt the only one with a surfer dude/never been cut look :haha: my mum keeps telling me to get it cut - she says its straggly! :dohh: That must be so hard going back to work after all that family time :( I hate leaving in the morning. Just think you've only got about 20 weeks or so and you'll be off on maternity leave! Oh and I was going to say you look like you have a bump in one of your photos :cloud9:

Hah, Amy, my mum likes Roh's hair now its getting longer. He was running about naked with just his amber necklace on and she just said "aww, he looks so lovely, like a little South sea Islander" My mum is a bit of a hippy :haha: Well i guess i am too for that matter

I'm going to have to take Roh with me to both appointments, as OH can't get the day off work. It will be quite nice for him to hear it though i think. He seems to have some idea that there is something going on. And yes, i do have a bump now  it just appeared over night. I had nothing at all, and then halfway through the holiday, pop, there it was, i woke up in the morning with it. Roh keeps pulling my top up to get to my tummy, he wants to pat and kiss it :haha: Yesterday he pointed at it and poked my tummy and said "buubay" which is what he says to pictures of babies, so i think it might be sinking in that there is a baby in there. I'm pretty suprised, as i didn't think he'd understand at all. I'll have to get round to taking a bump picture at some point i suppose

We have some serious teething going on here :( Oliver woke about an hour ago realy upset and it took me ages to calm him down. He drifts off while he's feeding and then as soon as I put him down he's crying again :(
