Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Ben put Bobby to bed last night and he rolled over and slept (he didn't with me the night before). He then woke at 4.30am and sang to himself for an hour then went back to sleep.
He woke up at 7am :happydance: I didn't have to go to his room at all :happydance:

The only things different we did differently is he didn't get a nap yesterday and Ben took him to bed. Do you girls think we should drop his nap? I was thinking of cutting it to an hour instead of two.

Modo Oliver doesn't nap every day now. Some days he will have an hour, some days longer, but quite often he just doesn't nap. He might have a little quiet time when we read books and have a cuddle but he doesn't seem tired or fall asleep

I'm so pleased you've got his sleeping sorted, well done!

hello, I'm determined to get on and post later but for now  and congrats Modo x

Yay modo, congrats!!!

Hey Amy! Hope you're okay! :hugs:

How much do the other May babies eat? Oliver doesn't seem to eat much lately  Like this morning he had a breastfeed before we got up at about half seven, then at eight we had breakfast and he just had a bit of cereal. He had some raisins mid morning and another little breastfeed (he bumped his head :dohh:) and then hardly ate any lunch. I made pasta with tomato sauce and garlic bread - I don't think he ate any pasta, just a bit of garlic bread  Should I be breastfeeding less? Do you think he's filling up on milk? I'm a bit stuck :dohh:

Modo - wow that's great news was it lovely, do you have a picture?

Sarah - Will ate considerably more when I stopped breastfeeding him xxx

Will post properly later, feeling really queasy xx

LC - :hugs: has the MS just started coming on?

sarah - Alex goes through phases of not eating much. I dont think you're BF too much, Alex has days where he BF lots and days he doesnt. As long as they are happy and healthy I try not to worry :hugs:

I'm at work today boo

Sarah: I don't know about the breastfeeding but Bobby goes through phases where he doesn't eat much and this is usually followed by a period of eating a lot. We just go with it.

LC: Sorry you are feeling queasy :hugs:

Thanks everyone dreading Bobby going to bed tonight but hopefully will be ok. He really wanted a nap so he slept for about an hour and half before I woke him. Ben will be taking him up to bed again.

Here is my scan pic :cloud9: Doesn't show much  but it was lovely to see

Awww Modo - gorgeous baby there!!!! :) So when is baby due?
L-C-hope the queasiness passes soon xx
Modo- well done with the sleep!
Sarahwoo- T has days when she eats well and days when she doesnt. She b'fs ALOT all the time - minimum of 8x a day!! It has only been this past weekwhere she has begun to go from breakfast to lunch without a bf! I have read that they dont need as much food as they used to in their first year of life as their growth is not so rapid. As long as Oliver is not losing weight and is not lethargic I am sure he is fine.
Amy-hows it going? Is this the new job you are now working?
Maybe - hope your week is ok.
H&F - hope all is ok with you.
Emera- likewise as above!
Anyone else i have missed - hi! Hope you and your lo's are all ok.
Me and T have colds and sore throats at the moment but we are still making it out to baby group (would go insane if we didnt!!). Tomorrow we are going to attempt our first homemade card from T - any tips????
xx

Wow, the new look freaked me out

Sarah - Roh varies sooo much day to day and meal to meal. Sometimes he'll stuff his face and eat everything that gets near him, other days he'll barely eat anything and refuse his favourite foods. He's the same with his milk too, some days he'll have maybe 2oz of milk total, other days like today he'll have like 16oz + of milk, so whole knows. I just go with the flow. No baby will voluntarily starve, so i try not to worry too much and make sure what Roh is offered is balanced ;)

Modo yay for your scan :happydance: nice to see the little beany! :cloud9:

Mork, when i've made cards from Roh i tend to get a big piece of paper and a couple of colours of fingerpaints and then let him go nuts with it. When its dry i then cut shapes out of the big piece of paper and stick them on to cards, like star shapes and that sort of thing. For christmas i'll cut holly leaves and christmas tree shapes out. It means you get the artwork on the card, but the card itself stays intact! :)

Amy, boo for work!
I've been working today too, and i've been up since 4.30am as Roh decided not to poo yesterday, and save it all for 4.30 this morning! :dohh: so lovely to wake up to "uh oh, poo-poo, bappy bappy"

I took Roh to the museum this morning, as we had to get out, and the weather has been soo rubbish! Its really close by, about 10 minutes walk, and i never realised it has a really good play area! Also its totally free, and not busy at all in the week. Fab, think we've found our winter hang out once the zoo gets too cold!

Seeing Modo's scan picture has made me realise its only 1 week until my 20 week scan  How did that happen???

:hugs: to you all! x

Thank you all SO much, I'm so grateful to you all for putting my mind at rest re the eating thing  I was getting a bit stressed about it which I know isn't good :nope: but I feel a whole lot better to know that the other babies go through these phases too. Phew! Thankyou all SO much!

I'm not really loving this new look . . . . . I thought I was on the wrong site :haha:

Modo awwww your pic is so lovely!!

Amy I hope work was okay :hugs:

Mork I hope you're both feeling better soon :hugs:

L-C I hope you're okay too honey :hugs:

Maybe I hope you're having a good week!

Emera was it the museum where Banksy did his show where you took Roh? We went when the Banksy thing was on, it seemed like a lovely area. We stayed in a hotel just opposite the museum, in a little square. It was really nice, we got up at about 6am to get a coffee and get in the que :haha: and we saw a fox just trotting along by the hotel! He was literally about 5 feet away from us and going in the oposite direction, he just looked at us, and kept on trotting along, we were looking at him like this  :haha:

I'm getting my towel radiator tomorrow :happydance:

Nothing too interesting going on here, I'm really busy with new bookings which is great!! But hard work :haha: They always seem to telephone at lunch time too while Oliver and I are eating, and as soon as I get on the phone Oliver just shouts :haha:

Sarah - Yes it is the same museum that the Banksy exhibition was at. We live about 10 minutes walk away, well, less actually, and i work just across the road from there and down the hill a bit. Work was absolutely insane whilst that show was on!! OH and i picked our time and only queued for about 20 minutes to get in  The whole space where the Banksy thing was is usually empty with a nice spread out cafe, and tables to eat your own food at, the play area was blocked off at the time! Oh and you stayed in Berkley Square then. Its very much my neighbourhood there! :)

Oh, and yeah the foxes round here are very like  :hi:

woooooah, this is wierd, thought I was on the wrong site

Hi Mork - hope you and T get well soon :hugs: I'm still at Dartford, I'm hoping to start the new job in December. Have you tried letting T loose with pens?

sarah - glad we helped :hugs: how inconsiderate of people to call you at lunch :haha: thats fantastic you're still busy

emera - wow, 20 week scan! cant wait to see pics :cloud9: the 4.30 am wakeup for poopy pants is harsh, what was Roh's digestive system thinking! The museum sounds cool, our nearest decent one is London.

I am so tired and I have another 13 hr shift tomorrow  I'm in the dining room leaving Kerry to it in the lounge :grr: had a stupid pointless row becasue I dared to be a bit tetchy that he didnt save any food for me so I had to cook my own at 10pm. I got "do you want to shut up" and the door slammed at me. Happy days

Ooooh the site seems to have finally sped up a bit, think thats because everyone has given up and gone off? I don't adore the changes, but to be honest i think it will be fine when they iron out the bugs. Plus, forum jump and an adblocker, and really its not so different

Amy - :dohh: :hugs: I'd give OH a massive earful if he didn't save me any food. I'd so have opened the door and said "No i don't want to shut up, i want to tell you your a selfish bleep!" Mind you, i'm hormonal and pregnant, so not having food ready and waiting is unwise whatever i've been doing that day!

I agree about the 4.30am poo session, really bad planning in the bowel department from Roh there. Happily i have a poo free day as i'm also doing a 13 hour shift Amy, so we can suffer together! :hugs: OH can deal with the poo!

Thanks emera - :hugs: he's a grumpy idiot at times. I just screamed *f*ck yooooooooooo" in my head :haha: he said I shouldve asked :dohh: trouble is he's never worked a 13 hour shift and doesnt understand that you come home corpse-like barely able to speak! are you still contemplating cutting down your hours?

Amy i'd love to cut down my hours, but if i did at this point they would redo my contract and i wouldn't get my full SMP :dohh: When i went back i made sure i was working the exact amount to qualify for full SMP, no more no less. Anyway, i've decided the best bet is to keep on going, and then just demand more help with my work as i get more pregnant. I'm still doing alot of heavy lifting, which i know i shouldn't be, but i'm not feeling to too straining right now. I think they are pretty much obliged to try and find me lighter duties with the same number of hours when it comes to the point that i can't carry on as i am. I found out today that i'm getting help on a tuseday as well as wednesday now, to take the heavier lifting work and physical work, basically i'll be training a lad up, which works for everyone
I have to make 40 trays of flapjacks today, thats 1200 portions, and it takes 60kg of oats, 30kg of butter etc. so its physical work. Mind you, the excercise probably isn't bad for me at this stage

Amy I'm sorry Kerry didn't save you any food :hugs: You should have ordered yourself his fave takeaway but not ordered any for him :haha: I hope work is okay tomorrow :hugs: Have you started your new job yet?

Emera thats it - Berkley Square! If your work is just down from the museum and on the oposite side of the road and sells take away coffee and pastries then we got our coffee and pastries from there :haha: We got up early and qued for about two hours I think, until the museum opened then we were in  It did encourage Steve's 'urban art' obsession though - he's got so much now :dohh: His Banksy still has pride of place in the lounge :haha:

And the Fox was soooooo like that

Ooh i forgot to share, Roh has picked up the most adorable new habit! He's started saying hello ("hewwo")on the phone if you say hello to him :cloud9: Its just so sweet when i'm at work on my break, i phone home and OH will put him on :D I got "Hewwo" today, and then "iggle iggle" as he tried to get his IgglePiggle to say hello too, and then "ba-bai" too! It really cheers me up when i'm missing him at work! :) He also does it with random objects, he was holding a carton of dental floss to his ear yesterday and saying "hewwo?" into it :haha:
