Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Wow thats a LOT of flapjack!!!!! Mmmmm I could soooo eat flapjack now

Emera Oliver LOVES talking on the phone, he tends to just talk crap though :haha: rather than actually saying words. That is SO cute of Roh!!!!!

Oliver thinks anything and everything is a phone - he is always picking things up and holding them to his ear like its a phone, its so cute!

Sarah, Steve would die of jealousy then, my friend has a Banksy original in his lounge. He's friends with a couple of street artists and apparently they were allowed to borrow Banksy's workspace for a while, he said they could chuck out anything that was in the way. They nabbed a couple of canvases and my friend ended up with one

sorry just been reading and running lately! been super busy! yesterday after work was filled with entertaining kids, taking dylan to beavers, sorting out their food, bath, doing reading with dylan. then when they were finally in bed sorting dinner for dan and i. then after dinner 2hrs of stuff for school. then just when i went to bed at almost midnight owen woke and it was a crappy night with lots of wakings and up for the day at 6.15am! and got the same to look forward to today!

sarah - i'd not worry about good too much. dylan was an awful eater when he was younger!

amy - grr to kerry!

modo - hope bobby slept in the end!

emera - 20 weeks already!!! wow!

modo - hope you and t are better soon!

hope you are all well. got to run and sort out stuff for school now! hopefully post more tonight!

I am so mad right now! Basically my I candy is knackered-I have apparently used it too much and so it is gonna cost me a bare minimum of £80 to repair!!! Grrrrrrrr it's nor my fault-I should be able to use it! Don't know what to do now-do I repair it or buy a new pushchair? I was gonna reuse it with the carry cot when we finally have number two so don't want to use it to the point of total collapse. So annoying-I candy always have an excuse for getting out of giving customer service in my opinion!!!!!!

You've used it too much? Which one have you got Mork? What's wrong with it?

Emera I'd better not tell Steve - he would be SO jealous :haha: We've got a couple of originals now but he'd love a Banksy but they are waaaaay too expensive now. Steve comissioned piece for Oliver from an American artist and its lovely - its of a Tiger. Its quite funny because Steve commissioned it last year, and this year the artist has done loads of paintings of cats, which is basically Oliver's Tiger without stripes :haha: He used to work with Keith Haring a lot, he first did the messy background that Haring adopted. Here's a linky to some of his work and his cats, I'll take a pic of Oliver's painting later, it's quite funny :haha:

It's the cherry, I have used it so much the tyres are worn, the brake has always been dodgy, and the parent windows on the hood are all cracked from where you fold the hood back and forth :(

I have the Apple, the windows are cracked in the hood too. My back tyres are okay (air ones) but the front ones are pretty worn - I put the brand new jogger wheel on in the summer and its quite worn already. And I don't really use it that much :dohh:

I like it don't get me wrong, I will be upset to have to push something else. Just got to find something parent facing to replace it :( xx

I think its really dissapointing that for the money they don't wear better :(

I am still thinking about buying something else smaller / lighter for my car and selling my Apple. I have a M&P's Frankie in Steve's car and its SO much easier to manage now, and about a ton lighter to push :haha:

Hi all sorry for being rubbish recently - my dad is doing really well and came out of hospital today! We are ok just really tired all the time at the moment Amy is on the go all the time at the moment but she is so good and lovely most of the time!

Sarah - the only artwork we have in our house is pieces my mum does! She does such lovely paintings and I have them everywhere!

Modo - what wrong?

Maybe - you sound super busy - how is work going?

Amy - How are you and how is your job? Hope your ok. x x

LC - How is your pregnancy going so far?

Mork - How annoying about the pushchair - I have the loola up and although it was good it is now breaking and I am going to have to buy another pushchair but have no idea what to get!

Hope everyone is ok! x x x

I kept Bobby up all day w/o a nap hoping he would just sleep without needing me there. Well it didn't work and just when he fell asleep some one knocked on the door and woke him. I have just been feeling really low. Thinking about how eager I was to get rid of the bottles and how I always did everything the "experts" said never fed him to sleep etc and saw proof that I was doing the "right thing" as he slept through from a young age. Now I realise that I took away anything that could comfort him on the advice of these "experts" and he no longer sleeps through.

I'm just rambling and not making sense. Just ignore me :dohh:

Aw Modo, you are not a terrible parent, you are a very good one! Hugs to you xxxxxxxxxxxx

Modo you're a wonderful mummy - you mustn't think anything else!! Bobby has a really amazing mummy and daddy - don't be so hard on yourself!

These things are so much trial and error, you just have to do what you think is right at the time - which is exactly what you have done, thats not wrong!

If you think Bobby needs some comfort have you tried giving him a little blanket or something at bedtime? For him to snuggle up to? I think he just needs to get used to his routine though, its still early days.

Also, I find that what works every day for ages will suddenly not work one day for no real reason. So 99% of the time Oliver is asleep in bed for 8pm. Every now and then he just won't go to sleep until about 11pm. For no reason. I guess the babies have funny days just like us

You're a great mummy though, you really are :hugs:

Modo - just remember the only person who knows your baby and is an 'expert' on your baby is you! You are doing a wonderful job - we took Amy's bottles and dummy etc away when she no longer needed them and have replaced them with a soft toy rabbit who is now her comforter when she goes to bed. And like Sarah said they all have up and down days - today Amy was in bed for 7 as she hadnt slept all day but tomorrow she could well be a nightmare and keep me up till late! Just dont forget you are a brilliant mum. x
