Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Thanks Sarah :hugs: To be fair Roh isn't a great nurse! :haha: He's being sweet though, keeps coming and curling up on me and resting his head on my shoulder :cloud9: He often brings a book with him :) Currently the bedrest is indefinite, but a MW is going to visit on wednesday, so hopefully they will let me at least resume normal life at that point. One way or another i'm still going to have my night in London i think i've been looking forwards to it for months!! I'll just make sure i take it very easy. I feel fine now really, just the occasional stomach cramp still.

Awwwww!! He's so cute!

Will you start your maternity leave early or go back to work? You so deserve your trip to London!!

I'll have to see what happens. If they decide i'm ok, then i'll talk to work about light duties. If not i think i have to take sick pay until i'm at least 29 weeks, then i'll have no real choice but to start mat leave. Fingers crossed i can go back

I have everything crossed for you :hugs: Hope you've got a good book or two!!

Well Oliver had even more PJ's on last night and he slept pretty well - he only woke once and didn't cry at all so I am totally sure that he's been waking because he's cold. I've done some sewing this morning and altered a sleeping bag to have legs and well, I LOVE it!!! I hand sewed it so I might have to go back over it with the machine at some point but I'm SO impressed! It only took me two episodes of ITNG :haha: I'll put some pics up later. Oliver tried it on and didn't want to take it off :haha:

I'm having the weirdest day! I found a ferret it the garden  its currently fast asleep in a box in the kitchen, Oliver thinks its wonderful :haha: I've been trying to find a ferret rescue to come and take it but no luck yet :dohh:

Well Oliver is fast asleep in his new 'Duvet Dungarees' as I call them :haha: Some piccies are below, I think they are fabby  The sewing could be better but I think for a first attempt they are okay :)

Well what a drama with the ferret! I still can't find anywhere to take it in. It's fine for a day or two so I'll just keep looking for someone to take it. Its very friendly (not that I'll get that close :haha:) but still we're not keeping it!!

Good job Sarahwoo! Did you unpick the bottom and then cut up the middle and resew? what a good idea! Are you using them tonight? Hope it helps oliver sleep!!!
xx

Mork it just doesn't have any zips so that really helps. I just cut it along the bottom, and up the middle, and then hemmed the bottom bits and sewed it up the middle. I cut the legs too high to start with, so the crotch was too high - I tried it on him and it gave him a bit of a wedgy :haha: So I had to unpick a bit and then sew it up but it still looks okay and it's only for bed.

He is wearing it tonight! With a long sleeved vest and a sleepsuit. So far so good! I'm going to do the other one in a minute :)

Its super easy :) If there were zips etc it would be harder. I might have to try to get more sleeping bags in this design now :haha:

Lol! mine zip at the side, so shouldnt be a problem.
Hey - are we the only 2 mummies in on a saturday night???!!!
x

Loving the sleeping dungerees Sarah, fab!
I'm in too, i've been cooking pumpkin and sweet potato pie, and making a big pot of roast pork and lentil broth. Also sitting carving the pumpkins, they are mini ones, i thought Roh might like them :) Cooking sitting down is trickier, but i just had to do something other than sit in bed / on the sofa!

A side zip should be fine!

It is quiet isn't it! Maybe everyone else is out trick or treating :haha:

I'm so rock and roll - my evening has been spent getting stuff ready for tomorrows wedding, ironing, and answering emails while watching last weeks Downton Abbey  And now I'm going to do some sewing

The thing is though I'm completely content, I have absolutely no desire to be anywhere else :)

Hey Emera! How are you feeling? Oh, and can I ask you a really stupid cooking question please? :haha: :dohh:

Emera-please dont overdo it! your pumpkin and sweet potato pie sounds delicious though!!! Are you feeling a bit better then?
Sarah- I am so with you, I would not want to be anywhere else than with my baby :)
xx

I'm feeling just fine really, i am just aware that straining myself could set off contractions again, hence the bedrest. However, i figure sitting down doing a bit of light cooking to have fun isn't straining myself. My mum is here helping me anyway

Oh, and fire away Sarah! ;)

Oh, and i agree, why would i want to be out in the cold/dark/wet. Yuck! I like being at home! :)

I'm glad you're feeling good Emera

Okay sooooooo I want to make a pasta thing like one I buy in M&S :haha: (I'm terrible, I know :dohh:). I thought Oliver would like it and I love it . . . . its pasta with broccoli and peas in a cheese sauce with some tomatoey sauce too. Any idea how its made? I had a look online but I can't see anything. What cheese would I use for the sauce?

I'm so crap
