Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Wow Emera that's one fabby GP! At ours if you want to discuss two things - even if they are both for you - you need two appointments. Yours sounds wonderful! I'm glad Roh hasn't got impertigo! My pyhsio gave me lots of positions - one that was nice was just been on all fours like a cat :haha: and I used to spend hours draped over my ball - I would have happily fallen asleep like that  Do you sleep with anything between your knees? If not then shove a pillow between them, that might help.

I think Steve wants to have a day in Bristol so meeting up might be a possibility! I'm sure he could find some art gallery or something to amuse himself for a while :haha:

Maybe your dress sounds lovely! I love monsoon! I have started wearing dresses and skirts more lately, its lovely to feel a bit girly, even with my flat boots :haha:

sarah i live in my uggs! :haha: god knows how my feet will take the stilettos tomorrow! erin has used them more than me when dressing up

Sarah - If you are coming in April was it? Then i think the Damien Hirst exhibition will still be on then  And yes i sleep with a pillow between my legs, often seems to get lost in the night though :haha:

And yes i love my GP, soo much better than the one i usually get put on to see. She asked me if i was pregnant when i said i had heartburn last time i was there. I was like "ummm, yes, i'm 30 weeks pregnant...." and pointed at the HUGE bump! :dohh:

Maybe I think we get lots of guest views when its the last posted on thread in the section, so its on the home page iykwim? I can't imagine they stay long :haha:

Emera that good to know about the Damien Hirst show! We tried to see it in Leeds but Oliver was tired and cried so we only saw the first room :dohh: :haha:

Omg I got so drunk on Friday night! How embarrassing! Fell over from the combo of drink and not being used to heels! My friend had to walk me home! Then yesterday I spent all day throwing up! Never again! I'm going to have the piss taken out of me at work tomorrow

Maybe   Did you have a good time though? its a long, long time since I was anything more than tipsy - in fact its years since I was tipsy :haha: I used to get awfully hung over though, it was bad enough just to sort myself out so there is no way I could do it now with Oliver to look after :haha:

Not much going on here today, Steve is working from about 1pm. Oliver and I are having a drive up to North Yorkshire to collect the chair covers from yesterdays wedding, its an hour each way so I'm hoping Oliver doesn't get bored!

Maybe: Hope you had a good time :haha: :hugs:

Sarah: Good luck with the car ride and hope Oliver doesn't give you a hard time :hugs:

i cant believe the weekend is over! :( i'm gutted! spent the day with the kids, went to the playground and to morissons with my friend and her 2. dan slept all day when he got in at 6.30am-6pm  tonight is his last night for 3 weeks so hope he'll help out a bit more now he'll have more normal hours!

Maybe I hope Dan does help out more!! Are you fully recovered today?

Oliver and I had our drive to Swinton Park today and it was fine  I'm glad to get that one over and done with, I think 50 miles is further than I want to be going really! The price has to be right :haha:

Not much else happening here, Steve is going to London next week for work so Oliver and I are off to my mum and dads for a couple of days. Oliver would miss Steve so much if we stayed here, at least with us going to stay with nanan and grandpa he'll be distracted :)

Hi! :hi:

Maybe, oops, sorry to hear about the hangover, i don't think i can remember the last time i had one? Might have drunk a glass too much when we were away in May actually, but it wasn't a full on one  Sorry your weekend went so fast, they always do eh? :( My weekends are wednesday and thursday due to OH's days off, but they always seem to flash by!

Sarah, glad the drive was ok, it does seem like a long round trip for you to make twice, it must cost you a bomb in petrol? Have a nice time with your folks this week! :)

I had my mum here yesterday, she did some hypnosis with me for the birth, which was great  Roh was in a funny mood, really unaffectionate, when normally he's really cuddly. back to normal today though. I think its my mum's dog that sends him off on one, he just gets so excited about her. He's a bit hard to handle with her, as he just wants to chase her around and play with her at the moment, but he's too little for it to be safe. She's very good with him though, she just keeps walking off most the time. She'll occasionally growl at him, but he seems to understand its a bad idea to mess with a growling dog and backs off. (she's a lovely dog, but very active and not used to children much, and she has a temper, she'll growl and snap if she's not happy, not great around little kids).

In general though Roh is cracking me up! He keeps, more and more often coming to me and pulling up my top and asking for baby cuddles then patting and cuddling my tummy :cloud9: Its very sweet!
I can't believe how many words he knows now either, OH and i were trying to work it out last night and we think he uses about 100 different words  I saw my niece coming on fast with talking, but i guess i wasn't really prepared for how fast it happens! He's currently obsessed with the word and the concept of "hiding". Everything is like "mm, yum, apple" eats apple "oh apple gone", "gone?" "ah, apple hiding?" wanders around looking for more apple saying "apple?apple?" :haha: :dohh:
Today there was a monkey on the tv sat in a hot springs or something (it was cute like an old man in a bath) Roh is there saying "Monkey, monkey Ooo-oo-oo-ooo monkey. Oh hot, hot water!" (anything with steam or smoke or clouds is hot) "oh, mummy, monkey bath!" "monkey bathtime!" then the programme or advert or whatever it was changed, and for the next 10 minutes it was "monkey gone, oh monkey hiding?" "monkey? monkey?" what amused me most was he went and looked in the bathroom, as i think he thought the monkey might be using our bath! :haha: Very amusing child he is!

OMG we are all recovered from Will's d and v but now a new problem 4:30 am wake ups followed by a tired and grumpy day! Just when I'm getting pregnancy insomnia. I'm so tired and run down. I've just worked all weekend and now have a cold as I must be run down. I have no idea how to get him back to proper nights, I'm even wondering if it's teeth...... i'm too exhausted to figure it out.

Glad you all had a good weekend! Sarah well done for managing the drive ok. A couple of days at your parents sounds nice, will they pamper you both?

Maybe - thank goodness Danny is a man, he'd never cope being a Mum. Until recently I did nights and everything else!

Emera - roh sounds adorable, will says bapple which is so sweet, one of the only things he says. DH is getting upset because he calls him Mummy even in public. He doesn't mean it, he says Mummy not because of me but when he wants something!

Hope you all have a good day xxxxx

L-C I'm glad will is better! Sorry to hear about the early wakings though - eek! I hope things improve soon! When do you finish work? Yes we will both get spoilt at my parents :haha: They like to run around after Oliver so I get to put my feet up, yay! :haha: I think we're going to do some visiting and maybe - depending on the weather - go for some lovely walks. We were going to go shopping but after our spending spree in Laura Ashley last week I'm skint :haha:

Emera  at Roh and his monkey in the bath! That's so cute! Oliver hasn't really grasped the whole 'hiding' concept yet, but he says sooooo many words now. We got to about 80 and stopped counting, and he tends to add a new word or two every day. I love it when he's talking to himself and you can kind of tell what he's thinking. The other day he started talking about a baby duck and talked about it all day, then talked about mummy duck and daddy duck but I have no idea what set him off :haha: I'm really amazed at how fast he's learning new words, its crazy!

I dread to think how much it cost me in diesel for the weekends wedding  But I did charge top whack - so it was worth my while :haha:

Oh and L-C, Oliver says 'mama' to mean that he wants something, he says it to whoever happens to be about :haha: He says 'Daddy' really nicely now and in the last week has started calling me 'Mimi' :haha: Better than 'baby' though

Another cute things he does is when Steve tickles him he says 'Cheeky Daddy'

Evening! :hi:

Had a growth scan and consultant appointment today. Bumpy is growing perfectly, estimated weight is 5lb, and 8lb at 40 weeks, so spot on  Consultant was really happy with everything and has cleared me for a waterbirth in hospital if i want one, which is great news. She wants me to have another scan at 37 weeks, and if that shows the same as this one, then she'll discharge me from joint/consultant care and sign off on a home birth, so basically take me off high risk :) I'm very pleased about it. It seems like a really short time to be able to plan a home birth, but i'm thinking i'll just start planning it anyway, and get the basics i'll need in, and then if i have to go to hospital, then i do, and i'll try to get the pool :)

I seriously can't believe that in 3 weeks time i'll be term  In terms of last time, i have 10 days to the point when Roh was born! :ignore: How the heck has that happened?!?!

Emera: loved hearing about Roh and the bath monkey! So so cute :D I can't believe you are so close to term and glad that your waterbirth has been ok'd. I would like a waterbrth as well  I hope you get taken off the high risk list and get your home birth hon :hugs:

Wow emera that's fantastic news!!! Gosh only 10 days until the point Roh was born.

Hi Modo - glad it's not just me seeing in red x
