Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Sarah I LOVE your haircut! :) I really need to follow your example, you look so glamorous!!

Hope all you ladies with bumps are well! :hugs:

Maybe, ouch only a week school holiday? I hope you get to have fun with the kids and a bit of a rest too! :hugs:

Well, I took Roh to toddler group and left F at home with OH today! I expressed a bit and left a bottle and a syringe in case of starvation in the 2.5 hours I was out for! not needed as it turned out, she slept the whole time! I really felt like I needed some time with Roh just me and him, and it was absolutely lovely :) He seemed really pleased to have me to himself, and was all cuddly and sweet :) we made chocolate crispie easter cakes at group which was great fun! :) Roh loves mixing things :haha: we bought some home for Daddy :)
It was very liberating leaving F at home, its not something I would even have contemplated with Roh, but I think its such a difference knowing OH can cope with a newborn. :)
I'm now snuggled on the sofa with my girly whilst Roh naps :)

So sad the nice weather is on the way out :( we are going to a bbq for my friend's birthday tomorrow, so hoping its not too chilly! She had her 2nd child a month before me, so we can compare notes! :haha:

In other news, I'm pretty tired, but actually no worse than before the birth as I was sleeping sooo badly before she arrived. I'm getting 5-7 hours of broken sleep. Could be a lot worse I guess!
Hope you are all well.

phew what a day! work, then take erin to gym, then go queue up for tickets for erin's dance show in april, then morissons, then home, feed kids and now they are in the bath whilst i type and try to sort my phone out as i have run out of space on it :dohh: erin did her assembly at school today. i am trying to put video/pics on fb but not being too successful at the mo!

emera - glad you got some 1 on 1 time with Roh, it is important i feel!

sarah - loving the haircut yummy mummy! :D

Hi All -

I will try and catch up properly later once madam is in bed! We have just got back from four nights away in Wales and have had the best time chilling out as a family and the weather was brill. Amy is looking really brown after spending lots of time on the beach!

Hope everyone is ok x x x

Sarah your hair looks great!

H&F Your holiday pics are lovely, glad you had a good time.

Maybe that sounds like a crazy busy day! Hope you get to relax a little during your week off.

Emera That's lovely you and Roh had such a good time just the two of you. I am sure your H had a good snuggle with F whilst you two were out.

I never gave the milk i expressed to F yesterday, so in the interests of not wasting it i put it in a cup and gave it to Roh, wasn't sure if he'd drink it or not, but apparently its "mmmm, nice tasty" :haha: At least i know i'll not have expressed milk going to waste now ;)

Love it!!

I tried giving expressed milk to Erin and Dylan but they were not keen as they knew it was 'boobie juice' as they called it. Am still bf! How many of you ladies still are? I feed Owen before getting out of bed, when I get in from work and before he goes to bed.

The weather is awful. I have piles of washing to do but it looks like its set to rain all week!! Happy hols eh :( am taking Erin to a gymnastics camp mon-wed 10-12 so she'll be occupied. Dan is off wed and thur so hopefully we can do something!

I'm still bfing maybe-hoping to tandem feed! T has a minimum of 3 feeds a day-it was 6 until a fortnight ago so I hope she's not self weaning :( xxx

Yep Oliver is still a boob-a-holic :haha: Its called boo boo in this house and Oliver wants boo boo at any opportunity :haha: If we're busy its just morning and night, but if were home its a few times in the day too.

I totally plan on giving Bobby expressed breastmilk when I have an established supply (fingers crossed!).

Roh didn't see me express the milk, and I didn't tell him it was any dfferent to normal milk. he probably wouldn't care. He's quite funny about the BF, I would happily be tandem feeding to be honest, but it just didn't work out like that sadly :(
He makes me laugh though, he's stopped shouting "mummy oowwww ouch ouch" when he sees F feeding, as I explaine it doesn't hurt. Now if F is grumbling Roh comes up to me and says "mummy feyrah mipple!" And tries to pull my top down! He was watching her feeding earlier and. Said she was having a drnk of milk, and he said "mmm tasty?" So I said yes, and he wondered off. :haha: He's very sweet with her in general. He always has to tuck her blanket in if she's in her basket, and give her one of her bunnies. He also requests nappy changes for her regularly, although I suspect that's mostly because he wants to play with the cotton wool balls ("pompoms") :haha:
Went to a bbq party yesterday, and they had a sandpit, Roh loved it!!! We'll have to get one! :)

Emera: Roh is so adorable with Freyja! I really really hope Bobby will be the same.

Oh wow emera, Roh sounds great with freyja!! we have a sandpit and Will loves it but there is considerably more out than in now!

You have all done so well with the bfing, I feel quite ashamed to say I loved the 12 months we did but was glad he had had enough as I had too. I'm looking forward to it again but will probably just aim for the same. Anyone else find the first 7-8 weeks really painful?

Can't believe I am due next month, me and OH have both been saying all day, can't believe we'll have two next month.

We have had a nice day today, went to the beach this morning, a bit chilly but still made a sandcastle and had a paddle, and a sneaky 99. Then been in the garden all afternoon.

A girl popped round from work with some clothes that might fit me, without realising I think I might have offended her. I wasn't sure what the score with the clothes was so as I thanked her I said, I'll get them back to you when I'm slim again, duhhhhh. Meaning not pregnant. I think I called her fat, what a div!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loving all your fb pics xxxx

I have to agree with LC - you all do amazingly with breastfeeding ... Amy completly lost intrest at 4 months but I would really love to feed this one for a bit longer. Amy hurt me feeding for a few weeks but she was so natural at it - it really upset me when she gave up.

Wehave had a nice day we went out for a picnic and now I am just trying to get all the washing up to date as we seemed to have loads of dirty clothes from holiday!

Hope everyone is ok x x x

LC: Don't worry about it hon :hugs: I make gaffes like that all the time :dohh: You could always text her and say you didn't mean it the way it came out. I can't believe we are in April  I don't think this baby will be born till early June (I am due the 26th) but it seems so near  Still have loads to do :dohh: The new house is getting a survey on Wednesday!

Ahhh, its so exciting waiting for you ladies to have your 2nd babies!! I'm knackered, i have non-stop laundry to do, and my life is suddenly total chaos, but wow, its sooo great having 2 babies to cuddle, i love it! :D

I m lad to hear that emera! Roh sounds like such n amazing big brother :cloud9:

Hi ladies... Just reading a little bit about what your all up to. Hard to keep up when I'm not on here a lot!

I'm still Bfing Dillon. He calls it "num nums". LOL. I don't know why or how he came up with that?? With Logan I always called it "milk" and he followed suit. Dillon decided num num is the proper name! lol. But right now he nurses about 3X a day when I am at work(before, when I get home, and at bedtime), and on weekends he just nurses whenever he wants - if we are home. I don't nurse when we are out and about anymore. He's funny - cause if he's really tired and wants to nurse he'll say "mommy - go bed have num nums!". Its mostly just a sleepy time thing... or relaxing on the couch during the day.

With Logan I stopped pretty much on his second birthday. I think we nursed once or twice after it. With Dillon I think I'll let him go a bit longer... no set time in mind yet - we'll see. I'm willing to go a bit longer this time though. Hate to give it up for the calorie burning effect alone! When I quit nursing Logan I gained 10 pounds! So basically - I need to LOSE ten pounds now - before I stop with Dillon - so if I gain it back it will be okay! LOL.

Oh - and I gave Logan some expressed milk when Dillon was a newborn (Logan was 4). Logan was really sick with some cold bug - so I figured it could only help him! He didn't know - and I added a drop of chocolate syrup to it first! He drank it all up though. I swear he was better the next morning.... coincidence? Maybe. I don't know.

L-C - Nursing my first (Logan) was really painful for about the first 8 weeks. But with Dillon - it never hurt at all. I guess my boobs were used to it by that time? Not sure. 2nd time around it was a total breeze.
