Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Well done those of you still BF. Oliver self weaned not long after his first birthday otherwise I think I'd have carried on until around 2-2.5.

Emera Roh sounds so sweet with Freyja. The cotton wool 'pom poms' made me laugh.

Went to see my friend this morning who I met at baby group when Oliver and her little girl were tiny. She had twins a couple of weeks ago and they are so cute. Oliver went over for a look at them and said hiya and my friend said he could hold one if he wanted to. He was very excited bless him, and he quickly sat on the sofa and I held the baby's head and lay her body across his legs. He kept saying 'baby', blowing kisses and touching her little feet whilst saying 'gentle' and he didn't want me to put her down again and kept saying 'no' when I asked if we should put the baby down again. So cute, hope he is as good when our baby arrives.

Oh wow LM, that sounds promising, it would be great if they do get used to it! Loving hearing about your LO's on FB x

Modo - I think I'll text and try not to make it worse lol! Exciting about the house, fingers crossed for you x

Emera - I bet it's not stop, so glad you're loving having the both of them.

Muddles - Oliver sounds adorable with the baby, I have no idea how Will, will be. Not that there is a great deal of choice!

We have put the blackout blind up in the nursery tonight and tie backs, just need to change the light fitting and fit a dimmer switch and we are done. Then just need to pack hospital stuff, have started the baby's....

Had my 34 wk apt today and it's still breach arghhhhh I am going to see mw turned acupuncturist tomorrow for a 10 treatment to try and turn the baby. Sounds very promising, she seems to have good success rates. I didn't realise but what you eat can affect birth position?? She said they normal turn around day 4-5 or 11-12. Watch this space!!

Hope you've all had a good day xxx

Hey all -

I have my 20 week scan appointment today ay 21+2! Will update properly later as Amy is currently emptying Daves desk in his office and I dont think he will be to pleased when he returns from work!!!

Hope you all have a lovely day. x x x

Good luck H&F hope it went well.

I went to the acupuncture lady today and had the first treatment, we have to start at home tomorrow. But......already feeling lots of nice big movements, so fingers crossed xx

How did it go H&F?
Fingers crossed the acupuncture works L-C!
xx

LC fingers crossed! F was breech at my 36 week appointment I think. She turned by my scan at 37 weeks though. Acpuncture is meant to be great though. Also polar bear position is meant to help. X

H+F hope the scan went well :hugs:

Everyone else, :hugs: my brain melted! OH's bday tomorrow went shoppng wth both kidlets today, phew! I'm n a piss with OH, he's annoying me! I'll take a day off from being pissy tomorrow though! :haha:

F is soooo sicky, its driving me mad, she keeps missing herself (she has loads of clothes) and I get covered and I only have 2 pairs of trousers that fit! :dohh:

I'm officially tired!

Oh bless you emera, it must be so tiring - how is f doing in the nights? Hugs xxx

Hi all - scan went really well baby is looking really healthy and growing really well and they confirmed its a girl!

L-C - I have heard great things about accupuncture my friend is positive it induced her labour.

Emera - Amy was the same when she was little ... she had reflux and ended up on gaviscon to help her ... but she insited on getting it everywhere especially when Dave had just chnged his top she would do it all down him!!! How did going out with the two of them go? That does scare me a bit especially the amount Amy wants to be carried at the moment!!!

How is everyone else? Hope everyone is ok x x x

Mork she's not too bad. Main issue I'm having for now is she is mega stuffed up so can't breath when feeding. Consequence is she gets a bit stroppy she can't get milk fast enouugh due to having to stop to breathe.
As far as wakings, not sure really, I think a couple of nights she's gone from 11pm to 3am and then through till 7am but mostly she's doing 11pm sleep then up at 1.30am 3.30am and 6am  I'm mostly just sticking her on the boob and going back to sleep though. Its a bitt messy in he morning milk wise, but laundry is better than no sleep! :haha:

H&F - what a lovely clear scan pic!!!
Emera, I think that you have just scared me again - waking 4 times for feeding!!!!!!, its true you do forget!!! lol :) Hope F's stuffiness goes soon, she must be so frustrated bless her! xx

H&F glad all was well with the scan, nice to see her again i bet! :) Going out with both kiddies was just fine really, i have F in a carrier so she's really chilled out. I've always been really strict with Roh getting in his pushchair when i want him to. Living in a busy city, i really can't have any mucking about in that respect. We've just started taking him for walks on his reign to get him "tamed" for when we will have a buggy board! hah sounds like dog training, but with Roh its necessary, he just runs away all the time so we are trying to sort that out at the moment.

Mork - nights of broken sleep again is a bit traumatic for sure. I figure this bit won't last long though! It would help if Roh wasn't teething with his 2 year molars, he was up twice last night too!

Emera - Whats wrong with baby? I read sicky and stuffy? Is it a cold? poor baby! She's too little to be sick! :( Hope she gets well soon!
I'll gladly wake up with her 4 times a night if you wanna do my laundry! I HATE laundry. Wouldn't mind never sleeping again if it meant no laundry ever again! LOL.

L-C - Good luck getting baby to turn!

LM I love doing laundry! Why don't you live closer? :haha:

Emera I hope Freyja is feeling better soon!! Do you find Roh is better behaved when you are out just the three of you? If I take Oliver out on my own he's always good - sits nicely in the buggy etc, but if Steve is there too he's terrible, never wants to go in the buggy / supermarket trolley etc. I think he knows when its just me he's got to behave :haha:

For some reason we had a terrible night last night! Oliver took a nap in the afternoon for maybe an hour or so. I moved bedtime back slightly since we're still been quite flexible after the clocks changed but I couldn't get him to sleep! I gave up and got him up again for a few hours as I had admin to do :dohh: and then finally got him to sleep just after 11@m!!!! Then he was awake at 4am and up for the day at half six! Argh! The worst thing is knowing he's going to be tired and ratty later on :dohh: :haha:

Xx

Sarah: sorry to hear about your night :hugs:

LM: How can you hate laundry with your big American washers and Dryers. The ones in the UK are so small in comparison. I used to love doing laundry in the US :haha:

Emera: Bobby won't sit in the stroller at all he either walks or is carried by Ben. I hope this baby is more accepting of going in the stroller eventually. Hope Freyja is feeling better :hugs:

LC: Hope baby turn hon :hugs: I have my 34 week appointment on Tuesday. I will find out then if my baby has turned too. The big movements sound promising.

H&F: glad the scan went well hon :hugs:

LC and modo - Owen was breech til 37 weeks. I was going to go for a breech birth otherwise as mw said I was a good candidate having had 2 normal deliveries with big babies before.

LC - bf hurt all 3 times for me for 1st few weeks. Cracked nipples etc. used loads of lansinoh!

Emera - hope f is on the mend soon!

Logan's mama - I loathe laundry! I have a load on at the mo which I put in at 7am!

H&f - glad the scan went well!

Sarah - I have been having sleep issues since the clock change. Owen screams at bedtime, Erin tries to get out of bed and Dylan wants to stay up watching tv, which is not terrible as its hols now but Tuesday is back to work and has to be 8.30 bedtime the latest!!

Yesterday we went in to spain and I got an iPad. A treat as really it's not necessary but I've been after one for ages. Dan wants a new camera and our new fridge has arrived so our visa has been/will be taking a bashing this month but hopefully when we get paid at the end of the month we can pay most of it off!

Maybe nice to treat yoursef! :)

F is on the mend finally. She's gone from 8lb9oz to 9lb9oz in the last week so cold hasn't done her any harm I think!

Roh's 2 year molars are coming through so he's a grump and up in the night a fair bit, although last night was good. At least 2 of them have broken the skin now though so we are nearly there wth his teething I think :)

F slept from 1am to 6am last night, brilliant!! :)

Can't believe Roh is 2 in 6 days!!

Emera - Owens been having bad nIghts with 2nd set of molars teething. Only one of them has broken through. Have popped on the amber necklace today and am sure it's helped! Not sure if I'll be able to loop it round his ankle like I used to!

Hi all -

I am shattered we had the worst night since I think Amy was born last night. She went down fine at 7 but then awoke at 10.30 and was up and down continously until 4.30 - she then slept till 6.30 and then wanted to get up. Fortunately she is having a nap now but I really hope she sleeps better tonight by body cant function on that little sleep at the moment.

Hope everyone is ok x x x

Maybe - do you remember where you got the amber teething necklace as i would really like to get one!
I hope Roh and Owen cut their molars soon!
H&F - fingers crossed for a better night tonight xx
