Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

H&F - Really hope you get more sleep tonight! :hugs:

Sarah - Roh plays up more when both OH and i are about anyway, mostly because i think he gets a bit excited that we are both there! He isn't too much trouble when we are out though, OH is just as firm about him going in the pushchair when he's told to as i am, so i guess he just knows he can't get away with anything?

Went to pizza express today for OH's birthday with MIL. Took Roh on foot / in the carrier and F in the stroller, which she seemed to like once we were moving (first time in anything other than the sling) naturally she suddenly decided she wanted an extra feed as soon as we got there! :haha: She went right to sleep after though so was back in the stroller when the food arrived. Perfect! :) Roh was a little angel and was sooo well behaved, flirting with the waitress, and ate all his food :) (i wasn't too worried about him rejecting the strawberry icecream sundae!!) He had treats as it was sort of his birthday dinner from MIL too. :) All in all a successful first meal out with the 2 of them :)

OH is working over the weekend, and then has another 4 days off after easter. Its my first day on my own tomorrow! I have a friend coming over as OH leaves though, so hopefully she'll stay half the day! :haha:

Was very exciting yesterday, one of my best friends miscarried when i was about 20 weeks pregnant this time, i was so upset, she told me she was pregnant again when i saw her last week and that the scan was this week. Anyway i hadn't heard from her so was really worried she'd had bad news at the scan. :( Well she finally got intouch to say sorry for the delay as she's a bit in shock. Scan was great and there were TWO healthy heartbeats! I'm very pleased for her, but i know how i would have felt about that if this last pregnancy had been twins! Her daughter is the same age as our lot, so i think she's slightly crapping herself about it!! Very exciting anyway!

Emera- Wow that's exciting for your friend. My friend just had twin girls and her first born will be 2 in a couple of months. She is coping very well and seems to be getting into a good routine (as much as you can with newborns) already. They are ever so cute. That's great your meal out was such a success, I remember trying to bf Oliver and eat a pizza when my Dad first came down to visit-my Dad ended up cutting up my food for me and he kept joking that he thought once I got past the age of 5 he wouldn't have to cut up my food for me anymore

Maybe that's exciting about the ipad. Good to treat yourself, you deserve it as you work so hard!

Hope those of you struggling with lack of sleep get at least one lie in over the Easter weekend.

As for us H is off until Tuesday so hoping for some nice weather so we can go to the park or something and as H is here we can use the Smart Trike as I can't push it at the moment as Oliver steers the other way then it pulls on my belly. Oliver keeps seeing it in the shed and getting all excited bless him.

Muddles - I hope you get some nice weather! It's all rain here!

Mork - I got it from amberpumpkin.com I think if not it was .co.uk!

Emera - glad you had a good meal out!

Have spent the day indoors! Our neighbors little girl who's the same age as Erin spent lunch and the afternoon with us as her mum was working (she's on same shift as Dan) and her gran picked her up at 5.30. Dylan spent the afternoon at a friends and now d and e have gone to the airport with my in laws to pick up sil. Then they're all coming back here to eat! I made cupcakes for desert which Dylan made me ice with letters to say 'welcome back!' well off to prepare Owens food! Catch u all later xx

Maybe, you are amazing! I've had one day on my own and just about managed to walk to the shop and back for some sugar!

Girls I assure you I'm no supermum

Awful night with Owen. He was awake til 11.30pm and then woke 6 times. He's teething/getting another cold :( soooo tired but as usual it's OH who gets a lie-in! I don't even get angry about it any more, it just saddens me that he never thinks that maybe I'd like a break just for once :(

Happy Easter ladies!

I hope you all have a lovely day! We are off to my parents this afternoon for a bit of a family gathering, its likely to be chaos lol! Steve is working so he's escaped :haha:

F is soo tiring! :haha: she won't take a dummy which I'm finding very traumatic! She wants boobie constantly and will not be put down, she goes bonkers. She seems to like the stroller though and goes to sleep instantly in the sling and carrier and stays asleep until you get her out. dealing with that clinginess (which is blatantly normal for a 4 week old baby I know!) And Roh on top, who is gorgeous and loopy and bloody hard to keep up with is taking its toll when I've had 4 hours broken sleep per night for a month nearly! )Yawn!
My mum is staying at the moment and OH is off from tuesday for the rest of the week, I'm hoping I can catch up a bit on sleep then!!

Happy easter all!

We went up on the Downs this afternoon and let Roh and the dog run about. Then went for a coffee on the way back. Roh sat on a normal chair and drank hs banana smoothie without incident, I'm very proud. Sitting still for 15 mins withoout being strapped dowen is major progress! :)

Hope you are all well! :hugs:

Oh and enjoy family chaos Sarah! Been a bit like that here this weekend! ;)

Hi all -

Emera - hope things get a bit easier soon. I forgot about the constant clingyness of little ones I am now a bit nervous again!!!

Hope everyone is ok ... we have had a lovely day out today but am tired now as Amy keeps having night terrors and I am not sleeping to well! Off to bed soon!!!

Oops, don't get me wrong I'm loving it! Just have to learn to juggle and co-ordinate a bit better and things will be easier :)

Emera its remembering those times that scares me a bit too . . . Oliver was just like Freyja and it was hard work. At least she likes her sling though, and the stroller, thats a bonus  I think my plan for baby no2 would be to baby wear a LOT :haha: I hope you get some sleep!!

H&F I hope you get some sleep too!

We had a fun day, slightly crazy but fun :haha: We now have FAR too much chocolate in the house :dohh:

Oliver is 23 months old today, I can't believe he's almost 2!! I really need to get something organised for his birthday pressie etc. He has so much stuff already

Are all the other babies (should say toddlers really lol!) out of their cots now? I'm still pondering how to move Oliver into his own room. I'm thinking about skipping the toddler bed / cot bed and just getting him a fairly low single bed. He's used to sleeping in a 'proper' bed to I think he might prefer a 'proper' bed to a toddler one, and he can climb onto ours so I don't think he'd struggle with that. I'd probably get a toddler rail to stop him falling out. Plus it means I could actually sleep in there too if I had to :haha: I'd probably let him play on it etc to start with and then just see how he got on.

Sarah i got a toddler bed purely as a friend had one going for £30 including a really good mattress and Roh's room is very small, so it was the best choice. Otherwise i'd have gone for a low single with a bedrail. I daren't get in with Roh as i've scared i'll break the bed :haha: so a sturdier one would be nice for cuddling up reading in!

Babywearing alot is definitely the way to go 2nd time round, i can get everything done if i shove her in the sling! Hope she keeps liking it!!

Roh ate waaay too much chocolate today, as did i for that matter! :haha: I did walk 5 miles with F in the carrier and pushing the buggy though so hopefully it all balances out!

Can't believe Roh is 2 on wednesday!!! He has soooo much Duplo to open!

Sarah - I moved Dylan to a big boy bed just after his 2nd bday. He was fine though looked so tiny in the 1m x 2m frame! It's a great bed tho. It was expensive but the same frame converts to a raised bed (like we have it now) and you can put another one underneath to make a bunk, like I want to do with Owen between summer and Xmas. Owen is still in his normal cot.

Emera - I remember those days well. Erin was very hard work and really colicky and wanted to be held a the time.

H&f hope Amy stops having night terrors!

I was up 6 times with Owen and once each with d and e last night do am shattered. Taking them out for brekkie now so that we're out when the cleaner comes. Then the beach this afternoon as Dan finishes work at 2 today!

Maybe the beds I've been looking at do that too - they are pricey but look good and they have a rail nearly all the way around for when its a mid sleeper which is handy for stopping him falling out :haha:

Awful weather here this morning! Typical bank holiday weather!

Morning all -

Sarah - Amy is still in her cot but will be moving into a normal single bed once her bedroom is done (hopefully in the not too distant future as I would like her to be settled before the baby arrives!)

Weather is rubbish here too ... we are doing a quick trip to a garden center this morning and then no idea what else for the rest of the day!!! I said Dave could decide what we do so I guess we will not do alot as he wont choose anything to do!

Hope everyone has a lovely day. x x x

Sarah: I like Maybe's suggestion  When Ben took over bedtime's he initially removed one side of Boo's cot to make it easier to cuddle him to sleep. As Bobby would roll out during the night we got a bed guard to stop that happening. Then I decided as we were moving anyway rather than buy a new cot bed for the baby we might as well transition Boo into a toddler bed. As they are low down like his cot was. In Oliver's situation being using to your bed height he would probably do totally fine in a regular bed. Which makes more sense as they last longer.

Maybe: You must be exhausted hon :hugs:

Emera: I am planning to def babywear the baby a lot! My friend from the NP forum has loaned me her Moby wrap so I am really excited about doing it :D

H&F: Our weather is crap too :(

Bobby trying to sabotage my 33 Week bump pic attempts

Thanks Emera! My hair looks shaggy because Boo thought it would be hilarious to mess up while I was carrying him :haha:

Belated Happy Easter!! We got up early and went to my Mum's, had a really lovely day, we walked to the beach in the afternoon, to walk off our lush roast. Think I might have slightly overdone it, it was a bit of a trek and I only had flipflops on (well and clothes!!). Feeling pooped today, have attempted to do my bakini line today, which was a disaster and made me feel rubbish, it's all a right mess there lol.

This weather is rubbish, think we might go swimming this afternoon, luckily we have a pool at work, which should be quiet. H&F hope Dave come's up with something!! Think Will was sleep talking the other week, terrors must be scary. I get them, although not been too bad since having Will.

Sarah, we've kept Will in his cot as he's still in growbags and can't get out so I intend to keep him there as long as possible. If he wakes up early, sometimes he'll stay and chat to himself for up to an hour, which I'm sure he wouldn't do if he could escape. I think a single bed with a rail would be the way forward. We had to buy another cot bed as I have tranferred Will's old one into the baby's room and he has the new one. When he's ready we'll get a rail and convert it.

Emera, your post makes me shudder, that it'll be us next month and the birth is nothing compared with the worry of how I'll cope when I have two. You're right though, just sorting out routines, helps with one and must be a must with two (well as far as possible). I have one of the jojo wrap slings, which I intend to wear a lot.

Just seen a post in thrid tri - my baby boy was a girl, eeeek. I'm quite set on a girl now lol.....

Maybe, hope you enjoyed your breakfast and have a better night tonight, you must be pooped hun.

Modo, lush pic and so relieved I'm not the only one with a nice big bump. My stretchies have gone mad, gutting after not having and last time. Think that was pure luck though. Are you feeling tired, I'm suddenly feeling much more tired. As soon as 37 weeks comes, I'm starting the eviction process.

Can't believe our babies are turning two. It's gone so fast..... I have to keep catching myself, saying Will is almost 2 because that also means two children lol.

Hope you all find something nice to do and have a great bank holiday xxxxx
