Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

LC yay!

And i was just on tv!! Not at 5pm though, but i recorded it!! Seriously should have brushed my hair.... :dohh:

Thats great news L-C! Hope you get a nice straightforward birth now :)
Thanks for asking, I am ok apart from my experience yesterday with the gtt which is still unsettling my stomach and causing cramps today :( Cant believe i am almost 30 weeks either!!!
Emera, i didnt see your five mins of fame - but i think you look fab in the pic on fb!
Maybe - how are you feeling today? I hope the antibiotics are starting to work.
Modo - have replied to you in your journal, but whoop whoop re the move once again :)
H&F - not heard from you in a while, all ok?
Sarahwoo - loving the instagram pics of your gorgeous boy on fb :)
Amy-nice to hear all is good on fb, dunno if you still pop on here but am thinking of you!
Everyone else, hi! Anything nice planned for the weekend?
xxx

Hmm, meant to ask you all, what do you think i should do. Freyja was really upset earlier as she'd had to wait a while for a feed, so i said to Roh that i couldn't cuddle him as i had to feed Freyja. Anyway, so he's been really interested in her feeding and says "Frayrah mipple" if she's crying on my lap or he sees her feeding (OH taught him the word nipple :dohh:). Well, today when i started feeding Freyja he came and sat next to me and then pulled the other side of my top down and said "Roh roh mipple" and went to try and feed too. It surprised me, but i didn't stop him as i guess i wanted to see what he did. He just put his face next to it and laughed a few times. I was a bit worried that one, he would bite me :haha: and two, that if i told him to stop he'd feel less loved, if that makes sense? I wouldn't have a problem if he was still BF, but he will have lost the technique by now, so he can't really. I'm just not sure what to do about it if he tries again. Do you think i did the right thing?

Emera - I'd have done the same thing. I don't think I'd want Will going back to that but, I'm not sure I'd be able to stop him for the same reasons. I don't think he would take to it anyway xx

A whole day to myself and there just aren't enough hours in the day!! so many jobs to do, so much for laying down and resting xx

LC tell me about it! Not that I have a day to myself ever, but hey! Having what I would describe as a lazy day today. Got up at 7am, made breakfast for Roh, fed him and then breakfast for me and OH (and coffee!) Fed F, both kids washed and dressed and then some laundry on. Went to playgroup, then back for lunch, then Roh down for his nap. Ate a quick sandwich, bit of time cooing with F on her playmat. More laundry on, hung first lot out. Got first lot back in due to rain and hung in bathroom. Cleaned bathroom. Folded 2 loads of laundry from yesterday. Cook risotto for dinner. Get Roh up, clean his room, put away folded laundry (with Roh's "help"). Build some lego animals. Got snack for Roh. Cleaned up juice spillage. Made more wet wipes (reusables) and now put mister maker on and am sat with a cuppa! Phew. Oh, that's not including feeding and burping F and about 10 nappy changes between the 2 of them as they are both training for poo olympics it seems! Phew!
Think its going well though. Managing to get them both bathed and dressed and in bed by about 7pm on my own. Then F sleeps until about 10pm, feeds on and off for an hour then we go to bed at 11pm ish. Only getting up once in the night now, at about 3am soo having a couple of 3/4 hour blocks of sleep. That and the evening to relax is making me feel pretty human again :)
Laundry is taking over my life though!!!

It's mad isn't it, you seem to have everything under control through. I'm amazed, I've lots done today but I think I may have over done it a bit the only resting I did was watching birth documentaries, whilst doing the ironing. That's really good on the sleeping front too, that sounds almost manageable. I begining to panic about coping now as Will has become so much easier now (with the odd moment).

I've just been and bought the last last of my hospital bag stuff today, so I can get that packed, juts in case.

Will is in from nursery and has devoured the best part of a whole cucumber from the fridge, funny boy. They said he has been really good with the babies, showing them toys and trying to help give them their bottles. I think he's suddenly caught on this week, he's been quite clingy. The nursery are good though, they are trying to talk more about babies with him.

LC: That's really great! I wish Boo's nursery would do that but he is in a separate room with 1-2 year old so no interaction with babies. It's probably a good thing because he has this pushing game he tries to play with other kids. He always does it with a smile on his face so it's never malicious or mean but he is tall for his age and can knock down some of the smaller kids in the room. We are working on it at home and they are working on it in nursery but it's pretty tough.

Hi all I am better thanks for asking :hugs:

Emera - re the roh bf incident I think that you dealt with it fine. D and e still pretend to bf occasionally but I just ruffle their hair and tell them that they are a big boy/girl. Laundry is the pits! I finally got to the bottom of the basket today and there's already stuff that needs to go in again :(

LC it's great will is good with babies :) and :woohoo: that baby has turned. Owen did last min at 37wks.

Mork - hope all is fine with you :) I'm glad I never had to have a gtt, they sound rubbish!

Sarah - your instagram pics are great! Can't seem to get the hang of it yet

Well Erin is at the dress rehearsal for her big dance show next week! Am do excited to watch! Today the professional photographers were going and I got in a state as my neighbour was going to do her hair but she started crying and said she wanted me to do it so I went on YouTube to find out how to do a perfect bun and ended up doing one using a sock of owen's :haha::rofl: who'd have ever thought that a sock was a valuable tool in hairdressing! Anyway my attempt is on fb. Could be worse I guess but nowhere near professional enough! Hope it held as I did it at 5, they had to be at the theatre at 6 but dress rehearsal didn't start til 8  long time for 4yr olds!

Maybe: Your new pics on fb are awesome! You look really hot in your night out pics :D

Hey all -

Sorry for being MIA - we have had no internet for a few days but I am back now and will try and catch up properly!

I have been really struggling with feeling a bit down in the dumps recently I think and hope its all just hormonal but I have been feeling like ssuch a bad mum as I am tired all the time not sleeping well and generally grumpy. We have a fairly busy week next week though and then my sister arrives for a three week visit and I cant wait to see her and my niece as we havent seen them since August.

Hope everyone is ok x x x

H&F nice to have you back!! Hope you are feeling better soon, I wonder if it's the stage of pregnancy, I felt like that then but much better now xxx

H&f - pregnancy with a toddler is no mean feat. There are a lot of hormonal changes so it is probably that! You are not a bad mum :hugs: try and get in a few early nights.

Well it's a gorgeous day today, yesterday it was 25degrees so today I am going to take the kids to the playground with my friend and her LOs. We're going to take a picnic lunch and hopefully it'll be a nice day out :)

Erin got 2 Disney red cards from morissons yesterday! She was so excited! Bless! When she found the second one she gave it to Dylan! It was so nice to see her doing that with no prompting! :cloud9: she was hoping to find a third for Owen but no such luck! Dylan says he will share his with Owen though :cloud9: both cards are for a dumbo so at least there was no 'I want that one!' moment :haha:

Emera- how cool that you were on tv, I didn't see it but saw the picture on FB. That's great you are starting to get more sleep at night time. I'm not looking forward to the extra washing, we seem to have so much already!

Mork
- hope you are feeling better after the gtt made you unwell.

LC- how exciting, now that hospital bag is packed must make it seem very real! That's really sweet about Will with the babies.

Modo- good luck with your house move, I am sure it will be lovely when you are all settled in. That's great you got a referral for Bobby.

Maybe- sorry to hear you weren't well, glad you are feeling better now. would have had no idea about the sock being a useful toy for a bun. I bet Erin is super excited about her dance show.

H&F- :hugs: sorry to hear you are feeling down at the moment. I hope you have a lovely time when your sister and niece arrive and that it makes you feel happy again.

Sarah- I hope you have a lovely time away. Oliver sounds like he is doing really well with his speech. at thinking of having another baby so you can get a new iCandy!

I am doing well and there is no hiding my massive baby bump now! I'm still feeling sick at times, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was before 20 weeks. This baby is very wriggly, which is reassuring. I got lots of bargains at an NCT sale yesterday. I got lots of clothes in age 2-3 for when Oliver is wearing that size, a couple of Bob the Builder toys and a book about Diggers. He took the toys to bed with him last night and this morning and we read the book twice at bedtime so I think I chose well. I also bought a few little girl outfits for the baby as they were Next and Monsoon. It all came to just over £30 so I am really happy. Oliver is talking a lot and is trying to put his words into little sentences now. :happydance: As part of Oliver's bedtime routine when he gets in bed I sit down beside his bed and we talk about what he has done during the day and what we are going to do the next day. Last night I was standing near his bed, he pointed at the side of the bed and said 'mummy talking' so that I would sit down and talk to him  He then goes to sleep so quickly afterwards.

Hope you are all well, sorry I have been so rubbish at posting on the thread.

Muddles that is sooo cute, that he loves his bedtime chat. The NCT sale sounds great, I've never been to one!

Will almost fell asleep in his lunch, which is unheard of, must have tired him out watching the marathon. That was over two and a half hours ago. I sat on the sofa to watch Top Gun and have just woken up in time for the ending, can't believe I stilll have four weeks of this and up to six!!!

I should go and check on Wilbo xx

The weather here is awful, so we decided as DH is off to take Will to an indoor play area. He was horrible there, we had to leave after half an hour. DH was really embarrassed. Doesn't really bother me, I'm sure they all do it!! He just kicked right off and proceeded to do so all the way home - happy days.

He's in bed, so I've made a banana cake and some pizza dough for tea, now chilling for 10 mins before he's up.

My hips are killing me when I lay down, can't seem to to get more than a hours sleep at a time as I have to move. This is going to be a long month or 6 weeks!!

The second seat for our britax arrives on Thurs, then we are officially ready.........

LC my hips were the same! Not fun!
Love when they kick off in public, can understand you OH being embarrassed if he's not used to it, but its definitely a common sight a toddler kicking off! Roh loves soft play centres and has a blast but goes ballistic when we have to leave. :dohh:

Weather is shocking here too! Would like to go out but not sure I can face it with the rain! Might get the play dough out ...

Love the new avatar emera - play dough, that's brave lol! Will eats it so we have to hold of for a bit. It's just stopped here but still don't think I can be bothered lol.
