Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Hi everyone  Thank you for all the get better wishes, they worked!

Sarah: great Thomas haul! Well done with the bargain :happydance:

Emera: glad you had a nice day today! Sounds like you had a lovely sleep in :D

Muddles: that's so annoying that your mom contradicted you in front of Oliver :growlmad: Glad he is not scared anymore.

I am starting to get tired now. I have been pretty enegtic throughout this pregnancy but it's catching up with me now. I guess it had to happen at some point btw being 38 weeks preggers, moving, unpacking and organising Boo's birthday on Sunday. His party is going to be pretty low key I think :haha: Some family and friends in the backgarden chilling out. Hope the weather is nice.

Starting to panic as I have so much to do still. Bobby's new closet needs to be assembled, Two-ey's bed nest needs to be attached to the bed properly, cupboard under the TV needs to be assembled as does the desk. The shelves need to be taken apart, moved upstairs and reassembled, curtains are arriving tomorrow and need to be put up. It never seems to end :hissy:

I still have to wash Two-ey's clothes and nappies, pack my hospital bag, make a birth music playlist....

Sorry this turned into a rant :dohh: Have been pretty hormonal and cry-ey today. Ben has been phenomenal, just totally lovely and sympathetic.

Hi everyone!!

Sounds like you've all had a good weekend. Emera whoop whoop for a lie in! Sarah, result on the thomas tastic day!

Modo, I feel the opposite and have suddenly been full of energy these past few days and as a consequence have done far too much. It's weird, sending some and hugs your way! Really not long now! My bump seems to go up and down all day, Will didn't engage until the last minute and so it's very strange.

Well it was Will's second brithday today, he's has a fab time. We just had grandparents and one of my brothers around, he loves them and just had the best time. We had afternoon tea and cakes. I'm so relieved that Will got his brithday without number two putting in an appearance. I kind of feel ready for her arrival now, he's had his day.

My mum has stayed for four days, it's so funny how we are reliant on our own little routine and how even though she tries to help, it's been quite frustrating, having her here x

Emera, Will loves dragon's too, he's seen shrek and got it from there!

Happy birthday to will and Amy :cake:

LC maybe the burst of energy is nesting :D

Soooo tired so please forgive me for not replying individually! Been marking assessments and writing reports so no time for much more than doing the bare minimum round the home :( dan took the kids out yesterday in the morning and then again in the afternoon so I actually got to do report writin then rather than 11pm :)

Owen is 2 on thursday  we went shopping for party bag supplies today. We are having his party at the squash club with a bouncy castle in the squash court and there's also an outside area. I've invited some of my close friends and also 13 of Owens nursery friends but so far only of them have RSVP! It's ascension Thursday so we have no school so I get to spend all his bday with him :D

Anyway :coffee: bath and bed now I think!

Maybe, i'm begining to wonder if it was my nesting. I've been getting loads of BH over the past 24 hours and had a rubbish nights sleep. When I went to bed I felt really sick and my lower back was crampy. Fully expected things to start over night, but nothing! Still don't feel right this morning, all the movements are painful and still getting BH so who knows. Anyone else start like that?

That's great that Dan took the kids out for you and you managed to get things done!!

I woke up this morning at 5 am with a crampy feeling in my cervix. I started timing them and it was 30 seconds every 5-5mins. Now they have tapered off but still getting them occasionally. Not sure what it is as didn't get this with Bobby.

First Happy Birthday Will and Amy! :cake: :cake:

LC and Modo, I had weird on off cramps, achy back strong BH and cramps like you described Modo. I had them on and off for several weeks. However I also had them the day before my labour so its not much help really. Could be something, could be nothing! Its definitely different 2nd time round. I think your body spends longer revving up and getting things started and then less time in actual labour. :hugs: to both of you, it drove me up the wall after a couple of weeks!! :hugs:

Emera: Thanks for the advice hon :hugs: They seem to have mostly tapered off right now but still getting some niggles. It was the kick up the butt I needed to finally wash Two-ey some clothes. Will do the nappies next just in case.

LC: I threw up today as well. Wasn't fun :( :hugs: to you!

Well it appears to have been nothing here..... just as well really as Will had me up at 5:30 this morning, the little monkey. So much for being rested for labour x

Modo - hope you are ok!! I need to finish off my hospital bags, so that's my job to get really ready xx

Gosh you two sound like you're gearing up now, how exciting!!

I think I'm coming down with something. Either that or it's hayfever, either was its a pain! I hate feeling under the weather. Oliver is the same too, which makes me think it's more likely to be a cold. Urgh.

We've been out in the fresh air all morning which was nice, and I managed to sort all my veggies out and plant some new ones etc which was nice. Oliver had fun 'helping' lol!

I didn't go to sleep until 1am this morning, I finally decided to start reading the twilight books and they are so much better than the films! I didn't realise what time it was until it was 1am, and then Oliver was up at six! Think I'll have an early night tonight! Xx

Sarah - I'm like that with books! Can't put them down!

LC and modo - I had contractions on and off for a month before Owen was born but never with d or e!

Tomorrow is Owens bday! We're having a party at the local squash club with bouncy castle and lots of cake :D have put up banners and balloons in the living room for when he gets up and Dylan's hidden the pressies in his bedroom :haha: best thug is no work as there's no school as its ascension Thursday  so get to spend all day with my kids :)

Happy Birthday to Owen! :cake:

Weeee, my best friend is coming to visit from Holland, she arrives at 6am tomorrow! cheap train! :haha: I'm really excited!

Happy Birthday Owen!!!

I have just had the worst start to the day. Will fortunately realised that 5:30 am is not great for getting up and woke just after 7 am. We had cuddles in bed, a small battle to get dressed but nothing major and we got there. He then had breakfast and ate really well. Then....... he saw his Fireman Sam fire station and wanted to play so I let him but kept saying we have to go and play at nursery today. He kept saying No and so I wrote his name on a fire engine to take with us. He was resisting going, so I scooped him up and then he just had the biggest tantrum going, I couldn't get him in the car, I tried everything and then ended up slamming the door to have a quick break, I'm just too big and tired for such battles. He screamed all the way to nursery and then refused to get out of the car. I carried him in and luckily the boss was there and took him straight from me, he was screaming Mummy down the hallway, I just couldn't stop crying by that point. I stayed and saw him playing literally 3 minutes later. Now I feel so rubbish, kind of defeats the object of me having a restful day to myself, before the baby arrives. But then again I think letting him have a day at home will only make things worse. I feel dreadful. I have to go back to work next year and I think if I took him out of nursery going back would be so much harder. they do really good activities there so much more than I will be able to do with two of them.

I haven't felt this rubbish since he was really small when I didn't have a clue what I was doing. Now, I'm not sure I can even do it all with two. He's going to feel even worse being dropped off when number 2 is still at home with me. I have just been to sainsbury and spend loads on crap to distract myself.

Feel really in limbo with number two, wanted her out but now I'm not so sure. How am I going to deal with these baattles on 3 hours sleep? I only have one day to go before due day and also feel guilty for not being excited x

L-C - I think its perfectly normal to feel like that. How often does Will go to nursery? Its really important for you to have some restful time before the baby arrives. I don't know what to suggest as Amy doesnt go to nursery but sometimes I feel like she will actually have a better day playing there than being stuck at home with me. Like today I am shattered and I doubt we will even make it out the house today so she will be super grumpy by later. You know he will have fun there playing so just try and enjoy a day of rest.

As for the battles they are really reaching that age now but just try andd stand firm - Its so difficult when your tired ... I have snapped a number of times with Amy over the last few weeks but have been reading some books on disapline etc (especially after seeing how badly behaved my niece is) and I am getting much better at ignoring her or dealing with the issue.

This probably doesnt help at all ... but we are all here for you. x

Happy birthday Owen!

L-C :hugs: bless you, you really have a lot going on at the moment, don't expect too much of yourself. It must be really hard. Oliver doesn't go to nursery so I have no advice there - but while you can I think you should but your feet up today and relax!

Emera have a wonderful time with your friends!

I have a cold :( So we're going to be having a quiet day at home, I could soooo do with a nap but no chance of that, so I think I'll have to be happy with an early night lol! Oliver is happily playing with his trains so at least I can take it easy.

Sarah - I have picked up a coldy thing and was up half the night coughing and blowing my nose. Amy has so far spent the day destroying the lounge ... we currently have her train set, blocks, cash register, happy land and tea set spread across the lounge with Amy looking at me as if she is bored.
