Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Hey ladies -

Modo - I don't know what to say apart from it sounds like Bobbys speech is really improving and just try to look at every step forward is hugely positive, and like Emera said in your pictures he is so gorgeous and loving! ... I can't say anymore than Emera but I agree with everything she said!

Emera - I have to agree with Modo and LC - you are an amazing woman, supportive and brilliant with words.

Sarah - do you have time to make two more decorations!?! I showed Amy a picture and she hasn't stopped going on about wanting one!

Maybe - hope disneyland is brilliant and you are having a fab time!

We have a super busy day today Amy has two playdates and then I have a meeting at the bank! (I dont know why I end up with some days so packed we don't stop and others we are bored as we have nothing on! .... I really should get better at managing my diary!)

I am just in the process of finding a birthday pressie for my mums 60th I have no idea what to get her but I really need to get her something amazing to show her how special she is. I was planning on taking her to london to see a show but obviously that wont work with having Eva! If anyone has any ideas!?!

Hope your all ok x x x

Modo :hugs: Emera was spot on with everything she said :hugs:

Emera you are so lovely!!!

H&F you do sound busy! Phew! I always end up with a million things to do in the same day and nothing in others too lol! Yes I can make another two decorations, message me on Facebook with what you would like x

Well we have a few jobs to do here, and I think we're going pumpkin picking later. We've got a Halloween party tonight, I'm a bit worried as its 4-6, by Oliver is struggling to adjust to the clock changes so I'm worried he'll be really tired. It's an hour away too. So I'm going to just see how the day goes.

Roh said "I love you Mummy" today, totally out of the blue, i was so surprised, but aww, so sweet! :) Then he stole my half eaten bakewell tart, ran off and threw it in the bath....swings and roundabouts! :haha:

Lovely is not something i often get called as far as i know. You ladies are very sweet  Modo, you sounded so sad and worried, i just felt quite emotional on your behalf. If anything i could say makes half a difference to how you feel then i'm really glad to help. :hugs: :hugs: :hugs:

Emera: you made a world of difference :hugs: I had tears reading your response hon because it was so lovely :hugs: Feeling a bit better today x

Aww emera - how cute of roh (and cunning!!)
Modo, glad you're feeling better hon :)
xxx

 at Roh!!!!! Bless him, aren't they funny?

The other day Oliver wiped a bogey on me and then said oohhhh mummy what's that?! :haha: Cheeky little thing

Can I proudly report that t is now out of nappies in the day!!! My baby is growing up too fast :(. Xxx

Wow Mork that's great! Well done! Still no sign of been ready here, and I just put the big cosy winter rug down in the living room so it will have to wait until spring :haha:

If anyone is after ideas for Christmas pressies, I bought Oliver some big wooden threading beads / blocks the other day and he loves them! They are all different shapes and sizes and came with two big laces to thread the beads onto, it's great! It said for age 3+ but he got the hand if it straight away and has played with it loads!

Thanks hon :)
Glad Oliver likes those as we have got some of those for Christmas! :) xx

Hey all -

wow Mork - Amy is dry in the house ... she walks around with pants on and always goes on the potty but we can't seem to get her to ask to go whilst we are out of the house she its a bit of a nightmare!

We are just deciding whether to try and get our dining room / study sorted before christmas (it needs insulating and plaster boarding and is just a bit of a nightmare! I was avoiding broaching the subject with Dave as its all more money ... but he brought it up this morning!

Hi just popping on quickly to say hello to you all and to give Modo a big hug and to say I totally agree with what Emera said, and like the others said you are lovely Emera.

Modo I know it's hard but try not to compare Bobby to other kids. All kids have things that they are better at than others and he probably understands more than he lets on. I know I am often talking to my H and O isn't looking or listening and yet he must be as he will mention something I said a while later or I ask O a question and he will look blankly at me so I say ok mummy will choose and suddenly he will answer/do what I have asked him to do.
Sarah your decorations are lovely, I can't wait to put the tree up! Glad to hear you are getting lots of orders.
LC How is Ava sleeping now? Will sounds like a little monkey, a very cute one though.
H&F Glad the naming ceremony went well. We are still waiting for the priest to confirm a date for the christening. We have just swapped to the cot too. Did you decide on a present for your Mum? Could you still go to London with her and the kids too but instead of a show do something like go to the winter wonderland they have in Hyde Park? That way she gets to spend time with you and her grandchildren and everyone has fun. Or a pamper day for you and her closer to home? Is there a spa near you or someone that could come to your house and do treatments for you both?
Maybe How was Paris?
Mork That's fab that T is doing well with potty training.

Hi all we are back from Disney! Good time but insane queues! Much longer than last year!!!

Mork - well done with the potty training!

H&f - hope you get your room sorted!

Sarah - well done with your craft projects!!!

Modo - I think it's far too early to give bobby a statement! He's only 2 and kids develop at their own pace. From your pics I don't see any sort of a traits but even if he is then it could be really mild and nothing that hinders him. I'd try and put it out your mind for now. Over here they don't label kids at that age as its quite often a misdiagnosis!

Emera - Owen is always saying 'I love you' but he uses it as a bribe tactic too :dohh: makes it harder to say no to him!!!

LC- hope Ava lets you sleep longer soon!

Hi girls, I need some advice. Lily keeps waking up at night but it's not just or feeds. Most of her wake ups are screamy and she turns her head and screams when I offer her boobie or she will suck a little bit but come off and scream. She sometimes will fart and go back to sleep but most of the time she just goes back to sleep because she exhausted. She is napping very badly as well :(

not sure what to suggest, ava was similar around this time and there's still only a glimmer of getting better. Four month sleep regression possibly?? Not much help but hang in there and hopefully she'll settle down again soon xxxxx

We are having a similar issue, i was wondering if it was the teething causing pain in his ears? I also did wonder if he was waking due to being cold and rocking his head side to side in frustration and trying to get back to sleep? If you have any ideas i would love to know!! xx

Do you think she may have a sore throat, how's she feeding in the day??

It seems like soooo long ago that I had a newborn!!! :haha:

Oliver did the shaking his head thing in his sleep, it was almost as if he did it to get himself back to sleep?

I'm pretty sure it's a comfort thing Mork, he still does it sometimes now (I only know because we have a video monitor :haha:)

Are any of you ladies wearing your new babies? I need recommendations for a good sling....my sister is expecting her first baby :)happydance:) and apparently I'm in charge of slings and prams :haha:

Sarah I wear F pretty much full time (or I wear Roh). I have a woven wrap, a Close Caboo, and and Ergo. The close was brilliant when she was little, but less so now. The woven wrap is a bit of a faff if you aren't very practiced at tying it, and the Ergo is brilliant now for both Roh and F, although i didn't love it with the newborn insert in. From about 3/4 months it was great though. I definitely recommend the Close Caboo for a good easy to use newborn carrier, and the Ergo for 3/4 months-3 years. ;)

F wakes up all screamy too, although i'm fairly sure her issue is teething. She's never been a great sleeper, although has been generally better for the last couple of weeks. She bangs her head from side to side to, its almost like she's trying to get comfy? Only seems to do it when trying to go back to sleep. I wish i had some sort of solution for settling/sleep, but sadly it appears beyond having a good routine, you pretty much have to wait until they are ready to sleep for longer! Saying that, the only thing i can guarantee, is that if i make sure i watch her tired signals very closely, then she'll go to sleep easily, if i don't she won't!
