Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

LC - Owen and Erin were both like Ava with the night feeds and it only got better when i cut them out completely at about 15months. Owen only slept through after he was 2 though and even now it's not every night.

Sarah - Owen can be very trying. he screams and today he hit Erin over the head with a big lego construction :dohh: he went in time out for that and kept screaming 'i'm going to behave!'

Well i'm still treating the disgusting head lice  i caught them off owen  but only had a few and combed my hair taking about half of my hair out i think. I'm continuing with the treatment for a few weeks even though there's no live lice, but just to be sure. i'm thinking of shaving Owen's hair when we get back from paris just to be sure! We're off tomorrow to Disney and the kids and ourselves too are very excited.

Have a great time in Paris maybe!!! (I'm only slightly jealous!!!!! Lol ) xx

Have a great time at Disney Maybe!

LC, F was exactly the same, started off so well, and then ended up waking every 90mins or so all night! I've been settling her down, leaving her for 5 minutes, then going in and calming her and rubbing her back, then leaving her for 10 mins. So far I've not had to leave her for 15 mins! So its not too traumatic, she seems to just need to let off some steam sometimes. I've been dong the same for naps, and in the night I just put my hand through the bars and she seems to like snuggling up to my hand and settles back down without a feed which is great. I feel liike she's keen enough on her food now, that she doesn't need feeding at night. To be honest I think she was just latching on for comfort, as I've not been particularly engorged after the nights she's slept through, so I can't see that she's missing out on milk.

Last night was a bit hellish, neither of them would settle down, and I was feeling a bit sick, so really wanted a rest. Anyway, they both kept waking, then eventually settled. At 1am Roh woke up upset and then was sick, I was sck too not long after, and a few hours after F started being sick, so we were all up most the night with sickness. Rubbish! Think we are all feeling a bit better this evening though finally. There is soo much laundry though! Yuck.

Oh no Emera I hope you're all feeling better soon!!!

Maybe have a lovely time at Disney!!!

LC I did sack off the ironing :haha: We had a lovely time playing in the leaves, it was fab :) Still need to do the ironing but I'm shattered today and have SO much sewing to do! So it can wait (again :haha:)

Yes just a little bit, largely thanks to you :haha: I'm very grateful :hugs: one lady ordered 20

20  Wow! Glad to keep you busy! :haha: I just liked them so much i thought i'd share, and everyone thought they were so lovely! :)

Hope you're feeling better emera xx
Sarah i'm not suprised you're busy - your items are fab! xx

Hey all. Sorry havent posted have been super busy.

We had Eva's naming ceremony yesterday which was brilliant. Unfortunately Amy was sick on Friday so was still off colour yesterday (although she did manage to eat chocolate cheesecake. )

As for being a handful I think its just them all being two! Amy plays up mainly when we are with Dave or my mum she likes to run off and generally be a handful! Most of the time she is lovely though! Last night was the first time she has slept through for a couple of weeks as she wakes when Eva does and has some water and then goes back off. Eva is still feeding around two times a night but she did do 6.5 hours a couple of nights ago which was amazing!

I am just trying to convince Dave to re-arrange our bedroom to fit Eva's cot in as she is growing out of the moses basket and I dont want to move her into her own room yet!

Wow H&F you have been busy! Glad the naming ceremony went well and Amy was well enough to have some of the tasty treats ;)
Wow Eve must be long, my lo is still in his moses basket!l Lol! Hope Dave manages to get it sorted xx

Thanks emera, she's too little to cut out feeds but need to work on her self settling. She does do it sometimes, but the opportunities are less frequent with the two of them. I feel like she's always being dragged around everywhere. she'll just go off in the car then we have to get out. I'm kind of hoping it's the four month regression and she'll settle down. Problem is I start feeding her when reading to Will and by the time it comes to putting her down she's so tired she feeds to sleep.

Will is also in the club, he's been a little swine today. I count him down when he's being naughty. His counting is literally two by two, which I think is one, two, three. He's been shouting two at me all day and telling me to say sorry and give him a kiss!!! Took him to the donkey sanctury today, then home via shop to buy coloured icing. We got home made cakes, and jelly. He had a nap then we iced them. It was a pack of four different colours, he didn't realise for a while it wasn't playdough! The tonight I changed my sheets, one of my only treats these days, he immediately got in and p***ed all over them urghhhh. I must admit I shouted and he got quite upset, probably wasn't my proudest mummy moment, it's just so tiring and DH went to work at 5 am and is still no where near home, it's a long day being shouted at all day. Even if I touch the remote he goes mental. Problem is he is soooo cute sometimes!

Emera hope you are all better soon!

H&F, glad the naming ceremony went well.

I'm just about to start the mountain I sacked off yesterday - doh!

L-C I am exhausted just reading your post (although I can empathise!) Fingers crossed that little lady gets through the sleep regression soon - we are in that stage right now :( - hoping it wont last till 22 months like it did with T!!!!!
xx

LC, there is a donkey at the donkey sanctuary named for my brother, not his actual name, as there already was one, but named after his donkey teddy bear. I really want to go there. I guess when we are living that way it will be a good day trip. ;)

Four months was horrible for us, and i guess didn't really get better until this week! :haha: :dohh:

L-C that's our problem too, he's too flipping cute :haha: As soon as I get cross with him he does something cute or funny and I can't stay cross. When he wouldn't sleep the other morning I was so tired and frustrated and hit a bit cross. He just sat there and asked if a cuddle, bless him.

Emera did your puddings arrive okay? I think by Christmas I will be sick of the sight of them, haha!

Mork thankyou!!!

H&F I'm glad the naming ceremony went well!

Emera, 7 months, I'll be a zombie by then! That's so lovely about the donkey, we go there lots, what's it's name I'll look out for him and give him a stroke. Will walks round there going euck poo poo!

Sarah, Will quite often says Bye Mummy in a really cute babyish voice when I say something he doesn't want to hear! This morning he was fashioning, pj's (like long johns), ski boots, a float vest and was eating "wibble wobble" (jelly) from the fridge......cracks me up!

Are any of yours having nightmares?? Will has them quite often......

Sarah, yes they arrived, thankyou! I meant to say, but my brain is overflowing at the moment!

LC, yes to nightmares, not loads, but definitely has them. He has quite the imagination. We had scaffolders putting scaffolding up this morning, and it was above the dining room. So he was having breakfast whilst i was dressing F and he kept freaking out and telling me he couldn't eat toast as there was a monster growling under the table! :haha:

Oh and i think the donkey is called Morrisey ;)

Hi girls, just a quick one from me. Hope you are all well.

Bobby's speech therapist has brought up the A word and we have been quite down about that. His speech has really improved in that he is copying us a lot (Bobby, Ninny for Lily, Mama, Daddy, loads more) but we don't know how much he understands. Ben was trying to do a puzzle with him today but he totally doesn't get it. Seeing kids his ages makes me really sad, he is no where near them. I sound like a horrible mother now comparing my child to others but there is no way you can avoid it. He is totally different to kids his own age

Sorry this wasn't supposed to be a cry-fest.

Modo, huge :hugs: to you! I can totally understand why its so hard not to compare Bobby to other children his age. As you know though, you really shouldn't, he's his own person, and will have his own strong points, and other stuff he's not so good at. I'm sure he'll develop at his own pace. Keep in sight that just because he's a bit different from others his age now, that doesn't mean he always will be. So, he doesn't get puzzles, and i'm sure there are other areas that concern you, but i'll bet there are other things he's good at? Sounds like his speech is coming on great too! I'm sure he understands more than you can tell. :) Roh's speech is good for his age, but even then i often think he doesn't understand me, when actually he understands just fine, but he's too busy in his own little world. The only difference is that Roh is a bit more able to demonstrate that he understands, so i get that reassurance. I can imagine it must be hard when you just don't know though. :hugs:
Even though i haven't met any of you, i can see from the pictures you post what a lovely smiley little boy Bobby is, and its clear he loves his little sister, and that he is confident and secure, and playful and all the things a little boy should be! Whatever issues he has to deal with in his life (and we all have our own issues!!) he'll do great with them, because he has a loving caring family, and that support is worth way more than anything else. :hugs:

Thank you emera. No words can express how lovely you are.

:hugs::hugs: Modo

Emera you really are very lovely, what you wrote is spot on and nearly had me in tears xxx
