H&F I hope your brother is just adjusting to where he is and gets the help he needs. Is there support for your family too, like counselling or something as you must all be so worried.
My fiance at uni was an alcoholic, and a violent one at that, so if you need to talk I am always here.
Maybe that sounds promising, glad he seems to be coming round and talking about it all is certainly a step in the right direction.
Sarah glad you found a new drier. I seem to permanently have washing drying everywhere round the house, roll on summer when I can emptty the whole basket and get it washed and dried in one day
Eeek tax return, bet it is nice to have completed it.
As for us I have notice a big difference in K over the past week, she wants to stand ALL the time, is studying everything and watching intently at people eating (tracking it from plate to mouth) and she even had her hands in my dinner a couple of nights ago
She has also worked out that if she does a big grunt everytime we do something she doesn't like (lie her down, get her dressed, stop her buggy moving, put her carseat down...) then we will realise she doesn't like it, so she tends to do that rather than crying now
She is also babbling a lot more as if she is having a conversation, and will bang her legs and shout to get your attention. Where did my baby go? It is lovely though, she smiles and laughs a lot and is totally in love with her big brother and watches him a lot and shouts at him to get his attention, so sweet.
O is coming on leaps and bounds with his talking, he is so interested in how things work and likes to explain to you. For instance my H let him have a go at flying his remote control helicopter whilst I got the bath ready so when he came up he was telling me 'Daddy put heli hopter on to charge, when light stop flashing it ready to fly.' I asked him if he made it fly or Daddy did and he continued 'Daddy let me have controller I push lever make helihopter fly up up up to the tippy tip top of ceiling then pull lever helihopter fly down.' He was so excited he has already told me no when I said we were going to go to the supermarket tomorrow and that I should take K and he will stay at home with Daddy and fly the helihopter.
If he can't remember the word he wants to say he either keeps starting the sentence all over again or he just makes a noise as if he is talking then carries on as if the noise was said word he couldn't think off
Little monkey still wont potty train though, happy to choose big boy pants, loves reading the Pirate Pete book, and happily uses the potty everynight before his bath but point blank refuses to use it or the toilet during the day so he is still in nappies. It's so frustrating as he has the understanding and tells me all about wee and poo coming out, and also loves to give a running commentary about what is happening everytime I flush the toilet so I know he is ready, he is just stubborn.
