Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

H&F I hope things go okay for your brother :hugs:

Maybe gosh it makes me so cross! How dare he do that! If he didn't want to come home that's one thing but he absolutely should have text and said that he was staying where ever. What if there was an emergency and you needed him or the children did? It's just another completely selfish act! He doesn't think of anyone else does he? It's just all about him! I hope you are okay, you deserve so much better :hugs:

Oh Maybe, I'm so sad for you :( I remember how poorly Dan treated you and the kids in your last pregnancy and when Owen was younger. I'm sorry he doesn't seem to have improved. :( He just seems to genuinely only think of himself almost all of the time, which is fine if you are a bachelor, but not if you have a family to care for. Needless to say that life as a single parent would be really hard, however, its already hard, and you wouldn't have a lazy miserable man arguing with you, undermining you and leaning on you to do everything for him. He should shove off back to his mum's for a bit, let someone else work their butt off caring for him. Big hugs Maybe! :hugs: xxx

Thanks girls he texted and said his phone run out of battery and he wants to sort things out. We shall see. Thanks for being there for me :hugs:

H&F hope all goes well with your brother xxx

Oh maybe so sorry he is messing you about so much and being so selfish, you don't deserve that. :hugs:

H&f hope your brother went in ok. :hugs: for you too.

My goodness there was a lot of posts to read - and sadly most of them were not happy :(
Maybe - hugs xxx I hope by now D has come home and you've sorted some things out, I hope you told him that he can't act as an individual - he has a wife and children that he needs to look after - he needs to man up!
H&F - sounds like you are doing a grand job b'fing! E still feeds every 2-3hours night and day whereas T slept through from early on ( a real shock to the system!!) but like you say - just think of the extra cuddles!! I hope your bro went ok today. xx
Emera-love your lo for loving the dustbuster :) T loves cleaning and all things associated too :)
Sarah, Muddles, L-C, Amy and everyone else, hope you've all had good days. And Modo if you're out there - hope all is well with you!
xx

Evening!

Maybe I hope you're okay! Take this opportunity to tell Dan that he needs to start putting his family first and make more of an effort! He needs to make some big changes! If he's not prepared then tell him to toddle off to his mum - you're going to have four young children, you don't need him making it five.

H&F I hope all went well with your brother :hugs:

Well my tumble dryer has broken!! :shock: :hissy: I'm stumble dryer addict - EVERYTHING goes it that machine!! It's about six or seven years old but I do use it a lot. It started making a squeaky noise and I just thought it would need a little tweak, then it gave an error message, Steve looked at it tonight and it can't be fixed, the bit that holds the drum in place has sheared off :( So Steve has been looking online for a new one but I'm not sure how long it's going to be for delivery! I don't even have a washing line never mind an airer or anything, and not much will fit on our radiators :haha: I might have to send all my laundry to my mums :rofl;

It's a good job I don't have any wedfings coming up!!!! :

Sarah - I'm a tumble drier addict too though not everything goes in. I have a beko one which has tons of programs and a sensor which makes the machine stop when the clothes are dry.

Well I'm cautiously going to say that I think things are going to work out! We discussed how we may be able to adapt our small flat into a 4 bed from a 3 bed. We had a nice tranquil evening. Thanks all for your support :hugs:

Maybe that's great news! Fingers crossed!

Steve was looking at a Beko one, but they were all the end of jan for delivery, eeeek!

Sarah - Eek! Hope you find one that can be delivered sooner!

H&f - how's your brother doing?

I'm exhausted. We took the kids to the playground this morning and they want to go to the one in the estate now but have zero energy!

Hey all -

My brother isn't great ... My mum has been down to see him today as he had to be moved to hospital. Apparently he has a lot of issues but I will hear all about it tomorrow from my mum. I seem to be really struggling to sleep at the moment I think I have too much on my mind! Hope your all ok.

:hugs: H&F :hugs: Hopefully your brother will be on the road to recovery soon :hugs:

Maybe I hope things are looking up for you :hugs:

I just filed my tax return, I'm glad thats out of the way! I always leave it until January, goodness knows why since I've had the figures all ready since May :haha:

H&F I hope your brother is just adjusting to where he is and gets the help he needs. Is there support for your family too, like counselling or something as you must all be so worried. :hugs: My fiance at uni was an alcoholic, and a violent one at that, so if you need to talk I am always here.

Maybe that sounds promising, glad he seems to be coming round and talking about it all is certainly a step in the right direction.

Sarah glad you found a new drier. I seem to permanently have washing drying everywhere round the house, roll on summer when I can emptty the whole basket and get it washed and dried in one day :happydance: Eeek tax return, bet it is nice to have completed it.

As for us I have notice a big difference in K over the past week, she wants to stand ALL the time, is studying everything and watching intently at people eating (tracking it from plate to mouth) and she even had her hands in my dinner a couple of nights ago  She has also worked out that if she does a big grunt everytime we do something she doesn't like (lie her down, get her dressed, stop her buggy moving, put her carseat down...) then we will realise she doesn't like it, so she tends to do that rather than crying now :haha: She is also babbling a lot more as if she is having a conversation, and will bang her legs and shout to get your attention. Where did my baby go? It is lovely though, she smiles and laughs a lot and is totally in love with her big brother and watches him a lot and shouts at him to get his attention, so sweet.

O is coming on leaps and bounds with his talking, he is so interested in how things work and likes to explain to you. For instance my H let him have a go at flying his remote control helicopter whilst I got the bath ready so when he came up he was telling me 'Daddy put heli hopter on to charge, when light stop flashing it ready to fly.' I asked him if he made it fly or Daddy did and he continued 'Daddy let me have controller I push lever make helihopter fly up up up to the tippy tip top of ceiling then pull lever helihopter fly down.' He was so excited he has already told me no when I said we were going to go to the supermarket tomorrow and that I should take K and he will stay at home with Daddy and fly the helihopter. If he can't remember the word he wants to say he either keeps starting the sentence all over again or he just makes a noise as if he is talking then carries on as if the noise was said word he couldn't think off  Little monkey still wont potty train though, happy to choose big boy pants, loves reading the Pirate Pete book, and happily uses the potty everynight before his bath but point blank refuses to use it or the toilet during the day so he is still in nappies. It's so frustrating as he has the understanding and tells me all about wee and poo coming out, and also loves to give a running commentary about what is happening everytime I flush the toilet so I know he is ready, he is just stubborn.

H&F - hugs xxx
Maybe - hope things are good.
Sarah-yay for new drier - I wish i could have one, my house is a permanent launderette!!
Muddles - wow to K! sounds like she is growing up fast!! I cant believe she is standing!! E still cant sit!!! lol!!!
We have started weaning e (baby led) but a, he cant sit up in the high chair yet and b, he doesn't seem interested! Still we keep trying. In this last week he has started rolling from back to both sides and once on to his front (but didnt see it so not sure if it was a fluke!). He seems to be so far behind t at this age - do you think its anything to worry about?

 K hasn't bothered trying to roll, and of course the standing is with me supporting her under her arms, but she wants to be on her feet all the time. When she is lying down she spends the whole time grunting whilst doing a kind of chicken head (pulling her head up off the ground and hoping the rest of her body follows :haha:) She has only sat unaided once but pretty much everytime I sit her she pushes her heels down to try and get up but of course she ends up flat on her back and then grunts even more.

We haven't started weaning yet, K just likes to sit on my lap when we are eating and watch us all. I wouldn't worry at all about E not eating much, just keep offering and eventually E will start putting it in. I remember that O was about 8 months before he ate significant amounts of food and before that he was mainly just playing/chewing and spitting most of it out again. With the BLW approach they are very much of the opinion that 'food is for fun until they are one.'

Muddles My Oliver is just like yours, no interest in potty training at all! He point blank refuses to sit on a potty but has started admitting when he's had a poo rather than saying no when it's very obvious that he has :haha: Oliver absolutely loves building things and taking this apart. Steve helps him to take random things apart, he'd a dab hand now with a screw driver :haha: As soon as Steve gets up most days Oliver will ask him to help him to build a suspension bridge, he absolutely adores suspension bridges  We took him over the Humber Bridge the other week, he was so excited! He also comes out with the most random stuff, he has the most crazy imagination :haha: At the moment every day when I tell him its time to get dressed he says no mummy, getting dressed makes you a bird  I asked him who told him that, he told me Daddy . . . Steve asked him and he told him Mummy  I spend most of my day laughing at the nonsense he comes out with. He sings little songs that he makes up all the time too, this morning he was singing a little song about how much he loved mummy and daddy, it was SO cute!!!

Muddles do you think K would like something like a Jumperoo? Although maybe shesa little too young yet . . . . I can't remember how old Oliver was when we got ours.

 that's so funny Sarah. I love the way toddlers minds work, Oliver sounds very funny. Oliver was watching Rhyme Rocket and saying 'bee and sea; and I said 'yay that rhymes clever boy' and he followed it up with 'bee and sea.....and crab' then grinned at me and now he does it everytime and grins or laughs 'red and bed....and teddy'
We have got an exersaucer and she loves that, she gets all excited when she sees me move it into the middle of the living room.

 They are great aren't they? If Oliver says a word wrong he corrects himself and then laughs for ages its so funny! Once he called my mum Banana instead of Nanan and he has tears rolling down his face, he still laughs about it now and that was at least six months ago :haha:

He's pretty obsessed with numbers and letters at the moment, we bought some wipe clean books and he absolutely loves them, they have letters and numbers etc with dotted lines to follow and he's getting pretty good, he'll sit for ages with them, he's so eager to learn.
