Moms of April/May/June 2010 babies thread! :)

Mork mine too - well Amy at least and once Amy is up the first thing she does is wake Eva up!

I think it might be because his bed is attached to our tbh :haha:

Wow 9am could he have a word with O? :haha: He isn't too bad, when he was still having a daytime nap he was up anytime from 6am and now he isn't having one he is up around about 7:15am each day. We have found that whenever O comes through K is awake, but we have no idea what time she wakes as she just lies there sucking her thumb and looking around then when O comes through to our room for a cuddle (and to watch tv) she will simply maneouvre herself around so she can see the tv so i think I am going to have a lazy girl who likes to stay in bed, soon as O wakes he is straight out of his bed which we can tell as he is all wobbly on his feet :haha:

Muddles- yeah Owen is like that on his feet when he clambers out the cot!

We have to get owen a bed, The cot is getting small and also we need it for the new baby! We were going to do up our room for the boys but that's on hold now coz of the cost as we need to save for my maternity leave as I only get 18wks paid. I'm thinking of a toddler bed for now and then reassess the situation when we know what this baby is. I'm unsure whether to find out before birth tho. I've never stayed in team yellow!

Muddles K sounds very chilled out, Oliver would never even lay in his cot never mind lay quietly :haha:

We are both ill :( Steve has had a funny sore throat with a horrible cough and flu-ish symptoms. I thought we'd escaped but Oliver and I both started feeling poorly yesterday :( We both went to bed at 8pm since Steve was to working :haha: so I feel a bit better for having a good sleep, and I'm sorry ladies but Oliver woke up at 9.50am :haha:

Can the other toddlers all blow their noses? Oliver refuses to, I don't know if he doesn't really understand what I'm telling him? Though he understands everything else :haha:

Sarah - Amy just blows through her mouth she seems very confused with how to blow through her nose.

Well we are having an awful day even though its only 11.40! Amy has been horrible all morning and the final straw she hit me - so she is now in bed having a sleep but I really don't know how to handle it. I put her upstairs becuase I didnt want to go crazy at her but I am fuming!

H+F :hugs: I just tell Roh how sad it makes me when he hurts me (although generally he doesn't do it intentionally) and ask him how he feels when he gets hurt (I usually give an example) so he can develop his empathy. He's always been very sensitive though, so tends to get very upset if he thinks I'm sad. We've had some rough patches with Roh, I think its all part and parcel of them developing the emotional spectrum, and starting to learn self control.

Maybe, would bunk beds with Dylan not work for Owen at the moment? Team yellow would be exciting, no? :)

Sarah, get well soon you two! :hugs: We've been ill for what feels like forever, Freyja has been poorly with a bad cold and cough for a couple of weeks, and now Roh has it, but he seems worse, quite flu-like. Poor little man. :(

Emera - Dylan's bed is raised already and I hide loads under it so that's why I thought of the toddler bed, so as not to lose too much storage space! Plus if its another boy I don't know what we will do room wise so I don't want to buy expensive bunks now not knowing how they will fit in to whatever room they will have. Don't know if I'm making sense :haha:

Sarah - hope you're both better soon :hugs:

H&f - deep breath, kids are all about testing the boundaries,,just make sure she realise that hitting you is unacceptable.

I'm sooooooo tired. When I get back from work I feel good for nothing. Danny is going to cook tonight so I get a break from that, though I'm sure i will still be doing the cleaning :dohh:

No but he can pick it very well :haha: So gross.

Oh, I did mean to say, on the nose blowing, OH taught Roh to blow his nose! He just kept demonstrating, and blowing, and saying "aachoo, like a sneeze". Roh understood how a sneeze felt, so he just does a sneeze into a tissue. He doesn't blow hard, but its enough to clear his nose. :haha:

Roh's temperature is 41.2c :( Bit worried about him. Not really sure what to do, i called the doctor, and i'm waiting for a call back, but its taking forever!

Oh dear emera, keep us updated poor little man :( xx

Emera how is Roh today? I hope he's picked up :hugs:

Oliver is at my parents for the day while I sort out his room (new bed coming tomorrow - eeek!). I've got loads done but it's so quiet! I can't wait for him to get back :)

Sarah it's strange how you wish for time alone and then feel really strange when it happens!

Emera how is roh?

He's not too bad now. Still poorly, but his fever reduced after his nap at lunchtime, its stable at about 39c, so still a fever, but not quite as scary as it being up to 42c, which it went to in the night! That was awful, he was bright red and shaking and he was hallucinating, he kept crying and saying "oh no, what happened? Its not working, its not working!" And then kept telling me the walls were broken, and totally freaking out. He was so frightened. Bless :( I remember being delirious with a fever when I was a kid too though and it was really scary seeing things! He's not himself, but is a lot more perky now. Sadly OH has the same thing and is burning up, so I have 3 babies to care for! :dohh: I'm ill myself, so its just what I wanted ! :nope: totally ordering food in tonight, no way I'm cooking! :haha:

Sarah, my mum was going to have the kids for the weekend whilst we decorated, but I bottled out and went with them! OH and my dad got sooo much done though! When we live close though she can have them for the day whenever. Brilliant!! :D
