November Autumn Babies

Nogreater I feel great! No nausea, no indigestion. 2nd tri is awesome so far! I sure hope this continues. It has officially been more than a week since I last vomited. Yes!

I hope everybody who’s still suffering through first tri misery is feeling better soon!

That’s all great news Wishn! Now that you’re over the hump, I’m certain everything just gets better.

I’m feeling better. I finally have an appetite and am not running for the bathroom at the sight or thought of food. No doubt that I’ll gain back the weight I lost over the last 9 weeks. My one goal is to get back to my gym routine. I used to go daily but that quickly changed due to my sickness. I know my workouts won’t be the same as before but I’ll be glad to run and lift some weights again.

glad you're both feeling better nogreater and wishn! I didn't have nausea and vomiting for weeks, but now it's returned to greet me again. hoping it gets better soon.

Glad to see you're feeling better Wishn and NoGreater.

Sorry you're feeling rubbish and I hope the bleeding calms down soon Lar. I had lots of unexplained bleeding during my first pregnancy, no low lying placenta or any cause found. Just put down to one of those things.

Ash it's great you can return to normal. I don't think you're crazy for wantint the birth experience. One of my friends felt the same after having a section with twins. I didn't have that same feeling agter mine but then I was in early labour and we nearly lost her so it's different for me. I had my son naturally but I don't think the doctors count it as a VBAC as the pregnancy hadn't yet reached viability. I'm not sure if I got to 10cm, but I was 8 an hour before i delivered him so if I wasn't I was close, so it seems kinda odd that it doesn't count. I've already requested a repeat section for sanity reasons more than anything, but i'm not against another natural delivery depending on the circumstances.

So I ended up in the hospital yesterday after having a bleed. Had my 4th scan and all was well, no sign of any blood on the scan so thry think it must've come from my cervix which was still measuring nice and long. They did spot another potential problem, my c section scar is looking thin. They've made a note and will review it further at my regular appointment next week when they have more time. I'm not entirely sure what it means, but I guess it's to do with risk of rupture.

lovecookies - Bleeding is so scary during pregnancy but I'm glad they check out everything and it's looking normal. Scary about your c-section scar but it's great that they found it so at least they can be prepared and watch it throughout your entire pregnancy.

LAR - sorry about the nausea. I hope it goes away soon for you. You should be out of the first trimester soon and hopefully get some relief!

AFM - happy 13 weeks to my baby :D I'm already feeling like I have more energy and today I start going to my prenatal yoga class that I went to when I was pregnant with my twins. It's such an awesome class with a talking portion in the beginning to just talk about what you're going through as a pregnant woman and then afterwards a bunch of the ladies go to lunch. I'm still friends with a bunch of the women I went to yoga with when I was pregnant with L and O. I'm so excited to have activity restrictions lifted and be able to do yoga again. :happydance:

Lar, I really hope the sickness goes away soon. It’s such an unwelcome part of pregnancy.

Lovescookies, I’m so glad all is well. Sorry to hear about your scar. I hope it doesn’t pose any future problems.

Ash, that sounds so nice. I was thinking about pregnancy yoga but I’ve only done hot yoga (outside of pregnancy) and I don’t know if I’d like “regular” yoga as much but I need something. There’s also a local water Zumba class I might check out.

I’m 14 weeks tomorrow and feeling hungry! I’m hungry an hour after eating. At first I thought I was dehydrated and my body was signaling hunger instead, but I’ve been staying hydrated and it’s definitely hunger. I don’t have any cravings, which is good because I’ll eat basically whatever I have haha

Had my scan today, and it was magical! Baby was a right wriggler which meant I got to watch them for about 20 minutes while the lady took all the measurements! Everything seemed to be happy and healthy, and we got some lovely photos! Been aged at 12 weeks today, so one day ahead, so excited!

Sorry I’ve been lurking, things have been mega busy at work and bank holiday! It’s been so lovely to see all the scan photos and hear how well everyone is doing!

I had my scan today, and it was amazing! Little one measured a further 2 days ahead, which puts me at 12+4 and new due date of 17/11/2018...so incredibly exciting!!

I was desperately trying to see the nub to try and have a good guess...is anyone else as excited as me to find out what they’re carrying?! We’ve booked a private gender scan on 5th June to find out!

nogreater - a swim class sounds awesome! I remember swimming during the last few months of my pregnancy with my twins and just being in the water was such a relief for my body.

zoboe - congrats on a fabulous scan! My baby was so active at his 12 week checkup too, it took them 20-30 minutes to get everything they needed which I loved because I got to watch him that entire time. He even clapped his hands together while we were watching. It was awesome!

lp - congrats on a good scan also! It's so amazing to see the little babies at this stage since they actually start to look like little humans! Good luck at your scan on the 5th. Are you hoping for a specific gender?

Zoboe and lpjkp congrats on such beautiful scans! My next scan isn’t until 20 weeks so it’s nice to see everyone else’s at this stage.

Ash, I can only imagine the relief felt being in the water while heavily pregnant. I’m definitely going to look into all of the local water exercise classes.

Loves_cookies, that bleeding must have been scary, I’m glad baby is ok. Hopefully the thin section scar doesn’t cause you problems.

Glad you’re feeling better Nogreater! Aqua Zumba sounds like fun...kinda like being on vacation!

Happy 13 weeks Ash! Glad you can get back to prenatal yoga. Sounds like nice social time with other pregnant mamas too!

Beautiful scans Zoboe and lp! It’s so fun and amazing to see them. My next scan isn’t for another 5 weeks or so. I’m hoping to hear the heartbeat again with the Doppler at my 16 week appt.

I mailed the mother’s day card to my mom this week! Included a scan photo in there. I need to make sure she’s with my dad and calls me before opening it. Actually we’ll probably FaceTime...I can’t wait to see her face when she opens it!

That’s such a lovely way to announce wish-I hope it goes well!

I’ve got small brown spotting today after yesterday’s scan-baby wasn’t cooperating so she did get forceful-heard baby moving and it’s heartbeat fine tonight but cervix feels sore-naturally the high of the scan has been replaced with worries x

Thanks lp, I’m excited!

Sorry for the spotting...was your scan transvaginal or abdominal? Could just have been old blood dislodged by all that poking around. I hope it’s nothing to worry about!

Abdominal- I didn’t feel any pains all day at work, finished work and popped to the toilet and discovered some light brown discharge on wiping...whatever it was hasn’t carried on-in fact, when I go to the toilet now, it’s like it never happened! I think it must have been the pushing that dislodged a bit of old blood from my spotting 3 weeks ago? At one point, she was rhythmically pushing into my tummy with one hand quite hard and from the other side quite hard with the doppler to try and get baby to shift into position for the measurements x

Wishn, that’s such a beautiful way to announce to your parents. Can’t wait to hear about their reaction.

Lpjkp, I have the same question as Wishn about your scan. I’m sorry she was rough with you.

I’m 14 weeks today, yay!!! I’ve been feeling good overall. There’s still some foods that trigger nausea but I’m learning very quickly what to avoid. I’m incredibly hungry these days and craving more protein. However, I can only eat a little at a time. Large meals make me sick as does drinking too much water at once. Everything just needs to be done more slowly. I’m back at the gym swinging kettlebells which makes me so happy and feels amazing.

Question...is a plum really bigger than a lime?? ....my 11 week fruit was a lime, and my 12 week is a plum, but I'm sure a lime is bigger than a plum!!!

Wishn that's such a lovely way to announce to your parents, I hope it all goes as planned!

Lpjkp so sorry she was rough with you, fx you feel better soon!

No greater ...its all a learning game isn't it....what we can and can't eat, when we should eat, how much etc etc ...very complicated but worth it in the end!

Zoboe, I too question the fruit comparisons at times. They’re fun but questionable. They have a peach for week 13 but a lemon for week 14? I’ve personally never seen a lemon larger than a peach and I had a peach tree growing up haha.

Yes, everyday my body surprises me with something new. It’s fun. I love pregnancy. Wishing everyone a beautiful weekend and wonderful Mother’s Day!
