My ovulation was earlier cd 12 on clomid instead of cd 14. I still had the same length of 28 days. I had horrible hot flashes and headaches. It ruined my lining. I'll never do clomid again. Femara is way better. I didn't temp with either but did use opk and triggers and they were never a false positive.

what do you mean it ruined your lining

For some woman Clomid has the effect of thinning your lining, making it harder for the tiny baby egg to implant.

I haven't had that side effect. I don't really even mind the Clomid, I don't have very many side effects at all actually. But that always makes me think, if I don't have side effects, than maybe it's not working.

How will you know if clomid is thinning your lining?

The Doctor can measure it. Also if your period gets considerably shorter or lighter or both after Clomid thennit could indicate thinned lining. It should go back to normal after you stop taking Clomid. Your Doctor can also help by prescribing progesterone supplements which help support a healthy lining.

I actually read the instructions (who does this) for the clearblue opk and it stated that it is not effected by clomid. So I started testing today. It was negative. I think I am going to test twice a day once with fmu (test stated it didn't matter) at 6:30 when I wake and then again a 2 p.m. This give me time to call my Dr. before they close for the day to schedule my iui for the next day.

what do you mean it ruined your lining

It thinned my lining meaning the egg can't implat so it was a waste of time and money. Fermera is way better. Good clomid and lining. My fertility specialist when we switched told me he couldn't believe doctor's still prescribed clomid. Just saying that's what happened to me. It's work for plenty of women, but I got my hopes up thinking it was some miracle drug....

How will you know if clomid is thinning your lining?

They measure your lining at your mid cycle ultrasound. The one where they see how many follicles you have and how big. If it's not right they will cancel your cycle.

Luckyeleven- hopefully implementation spotting!

It wasn't in the end, I did get AF. In retrospect, I think it may have been an annovulatory cycle. Something wasn't quite right about my OPKs.

In any case, I'm now 1 DPO. I decided to start temping this month alongside OPKs. I got a temperature spike of +0.5F this morning and pelvic pain last night so I'm pretty sure I'm officially in the TWW.

I typically O on cd10 or cd11 so I started testing on yesterday cd7. I tested this morning and around 2 pm both negative. I'm hoping to get my positive by this Thurs before my Dr office close if not we will miss our window for our first iui.
