Ahhh i dunno if any of u lot will be able to help me with this. Does anyone have any experience of applying for a mortgage when on maternity leave? My hubby is saying we cannot try for a baby now until we have moved house, because if i end up being on maternity leave when we are moving (which is unlikely, as it would be 9 months away and our house is up for sale now so should sell before then!), we wont be able to move as mortgage companies wont accept applications from people on maternity leave cos theres no proof that ill have the required income when they go back to work! I think this is rubbish - cos i get full pay on my maternity leave, so surely they will just want my payslips as proof, but does anyone know anything about this sort of thing? I havent got a clue... and it seems a shame to avoid TTC until we've moved, cos who knows how long it'll take, and we both really want a child. xxxx

Completely False, bunni you dont need to worryI'm in Human Resources and process maternity leaves for people all the time in my company - Mortgages are based on 1) Your debt to income ratio 2) your credit score - that is what they are looking for. I am going through the mortgage process now, so I can tell you that firsthand.
Hi ladies! Waiting for my hubby to get home and having some wine while I watch some Desperate housewivesWhat are you doing tonight?
Watching supernanny! It gives me hope that if/when i have a baby, if its a naughty one, i can deal with it!! xxx
