Off topic, thread closing m[o/u]mmies!

I'm going to. I've asked a few people who their pedi's are and I'm going to search around to find one we like. We live in a small town and he's the only one in this town. I don't mind driving to another (bigger) town though.

I don't feel like he's right for us, and everyone I've talked to has actually started with him and switched. I want to make sure I have someone looking after Sophia who cares about her. He's old, probably why he doesn't care as much. He's been doing it for so long.

Perfectly reasonable.....sometimes Doctors get desensitized after awhile.

Whit - I would switch peds if I didn't feel comfortable with their care! I LOVE James' ped to the point where we have a hospital no kidding 2 minutes from our house (would take longer to get him in his car seat than drive there!) but we drive 35 minutes (past like 3 hospitals) to go to the ped I like where he was born! He is so caring and takes all of our concerns seriously. When I told him the specialists said he needed an ultrasound within a week of being born he scheduled for him to have one at 3pm the DAY he was born (he was born at 8:43am) and had a nurse take him and my husband to it to make sure it was done quickly in case intervention was needed. You should feel comfortable with her ped.

It's just frustrating. I want to trust her pedi, but I don't. Definitely going to be shopping around.

Anyway..

How are you whores?

Spunks, hope you aren't feeling down about James still :hugs:

MD, :hugs:

This really happened wow

A 50-something year old white woman arrived at her seat and saw that the passenger next to her was a black man.

Visibly furious, she called the air hostess.

"What's the problem, ma?" the hostess asked her

"Can't you see?" the lady said - "I was given a seat next to a black man. I can't seat here next to him. You have to change my seat"

- "Please, calm down, ma" - said the hostess "Unfortunately, all the seats are occupied, but I'm still going to check if we have any."

The hostess left and returned some minutes later.

"Madam, as I told you, there isn't any empty seat in this class- economy class. But I spoke to the captain and he confirmed that there isn't any empty seats in the economy class. We only have seats in the first class."

And before the woman said anything, the hostess continued

"Look, it is unusual for our company to allow a passenger from the economy class change to the first class. However, given the circumstances, the commandant thinks that it would be a scandal to make a passenger travel sat next to an unpleasant person."

And turning to the black man, the hostess said:

"Which means, Sir, if you would be so nice to pack your handbag, we have reserved you a seat in the first class..."

And all the passengers nearby, who were shocked to see the scene started applauding, some standing on their feet."

Sorry. I'll try harder to make you feel more insecure next time. :)

Whit- I would totally switch peds...

Honestly I have switched all my doctors, other then the one I rant and rave over that I have a contract with, but before this contract nonsense I would switch drs for any of us, if the dr didn't seem like he cared, then I would find one that did!!!

My son he clearly has some medical issues, that COULD go undiagnosed, and I don't want no nim-rod blowing him off, when it could be extremely serious..

I hated masons ped ... I swear to god, I went in there this is the last time, and said he has had diaahrea for MONTHS on end all his BMS are liquid... sorry tmi.. and she said

It is 'toddler diaahrea'

Then again he was on a very nasty steroidal med, and he was having serious issues, he was trying to hurt himself, and I said i cant keep him on this and she told me I should go to a course to learn some parenting coping skills!!! (SERIOUSELY BITCH)

Anyways I got carried away , haha if you don't like him or trust him then deffinitely get rid of him!!!!

Good thing there are more out there to choose from, for people like 'us'

And shit... my bad. I totally didn't read your post properly. I thought you said you had an eye appointment.. LOL .. that is what I get for quick reading!

Yeah find someone else, or go to another dr and complain, either way even if HE didn't think there was something wrong, he could at least send you to an optometrist to get it checked out to confirm there is nothing wrong.

Maybe call an optometrist yourself and explain what a douche doctor you have, and explain your concerns!!!

Thats what I would do!!

A. Toddler Diarrhea.. really?

B. Seriously? She said that to you? Maybe she needs some " Physician interpersonal skills".

What the hell?

Yeah
1. She didn't want to investigate to figure it out, so he was a toddler, so perfect name.. toddler HAS diaahrea.. ya thx no brainer...

2- Yes she was a total bitch.... glad I switched. His dr is lovely now, she can be a bitch too, but she cares about his health and what I have to say.

She listens to me and takes what I have to say into consideration.

She once told me, I am very educated on Mason's conditions....

No offense but when your child has conditions... you have no choice but to educate yourself, kind of pointed out the obvious...

but.. i of course as you know it .. was flattered!! batted my eyelashes and all!

Thanks Ciana. It's actually your message that made me really consider switching, since you HAVE been through it. :hugs:

Gosh, I like you guys. I've been really emotional lately. Anything on tv that's even a little sappy at all makes me tear up.
