Those of you who put presents under the tree well in advance - do your kids have any problems resisting them? I might be able to put mine under on Christmas Eve but any earlier and my daughter's willpower will not last.

Think it depends on the age? My little boy is 19 months and for 2 days the presents have been next to the tree. At first he was excited because he's train obsessed so he'd pick up some presents and excitedly shriek "train!!" (because the wrapping has thomas the tank engine on) and I'd tell him no and divert his attention, seems to be working so far but it's only been 2 days and the no might wear off :haha:

I've always put my presents under the tree, I've never really had a problem with Lucas except when he was smaller and people would visit, he'd pick up their present and hand it to them while telling them what was inside :haha:
"Here you go nanny, a DVD!" :dohh:

wahhhhh i can't share! i took more pictures today and none will upload. they all say too large

We have the odd pressie kept under the tree before xmas, but they're ones that have been given to us from friends/family (usually wine or small toy from neighbour/ds's friend. I don't put presents under from us to other people.

Dc's presents from us/santa go under on christmas eve x

I like the blue paper with stars on it! Looks like Elsa's frozen dress. My daughter would defo make a cape for herself if she saw that in my wrapping paper stash. x

its lovely and thick too.

presents under the tree wise last year was the first year i did it. the boys were 7,6,3 and 2months. this year i wont as ds4 wont be able to leave them alone.

my mum used to tell us that even though they were from other people santa put magic on them and if you opened them early they turned to dust!

I wrapped a few more gifts tonight. I just learnt how to make pom poms and it excited me so I had to try it out :haha:

Haha my daughter is doing similar at the moment. 'Hi grandma, we wrapped your present it's a necklace!' After I took her shopping to pick a gift for her brother she immediately ran in and showed it to him. :dohh: Luckily he is just a baby so has no idea.

Think it will be a few years before we put things under the tree early. My daughter might be ok next year but then the baby will just be walking and getting into trouble. Shame because it is a lovely sight.

Bought 6 rolls of wrapping paper today so made a start! These are most of OH's presents, the rest are at my mums.

We put gifts from others ie grandparents, friends etc, under the tree when we receive them. Our pressies to each other (hubby and i) go under once we're wrapped so a couple of days before lol. Ds's from us/Santa go out on Christmas eve :)

I finally wrapped something! Now to do the rest :dohh:

Finally started last night..a few presents for work colleagues.

This is my Dad's gift. We deliberately disguised it by taping plastic cartons and paper cups to it and then did the Frankenstein wrapping job. I also put beads in some containers so it rattles. He can always guess what's in the presents so fingers crossed it will stump him. A prize if you can guess what it is!:haha:

Now the challenge is getting my daughter to keep her trap shut!
