sounds promising babe! Im ok thanks! I actually had a nice suprise from AF 2 weeks ago...I hadnt had a period since August so she was very unexpected but very welcome lol. Just hoping I start getting shorter cycles! x

Hey Girls! I was just wondering if i could join your group!! The doctor hasnt yet told me i have PCOS, but my mom has...haha.. I've read lots of information on it and outta the 12 syptoms that tell you, you could possible have pcos, i have 8! But i will going to the doctor very soon to get this confirmed!

I just wanted to ask also how does having PCOS affect me TTC?? And are there any meds that you can take for PCOS?? Thanks Girls!!

hi want2bamom. It all depends really. Some people have PCOS and ttc doesn't take long. For others like me it messes with the cycle and means it takes longer. I have long irregular cycles (cd101 today) so am being reffered to the hospital for clomid to release some eggys.
For others though like I said if they have normal cycles you can get pregnant straight away. It all depends on symptoms and how ur body is handling it

Well to update, this is my 3rd positive opk in 3 days (well 8pm on Friday and 12am today). So not really sure what's happening but this is the first time I have had such strong positives and on consecutive days. Come on ovary squeeze that eggy out!

Got my results from the Dr, he phoned me on Saturday morning and they show I am not ovulating , so he is going to have a chat with the specialist I was under at the hospital when i was pregnant and says he is going to have a chat with me about starting me on clomid, I really hope he does as I think this is the best chance I have as not getting any younger! (38 in August!), also cycles are all over the place and gettting longer each month....

Thanks hun!! I used to have really long cycles before i started to see my gyno...I used to only get my period maybe 4 times a year maybe! I've been taking provera and clomid and now i'm getting my period on my own and ovulating by myself, which is great!! I've been pregnant 3 times before but i've m/c all 3 times So i'm hoping i will be pregnant soon with a sticky bean!!!

Well I am feeling scared and optimistic. Look at my FF!! The first ovulation line has appeared this cycle. A bit confused though but oh so happy that maybe, just maybe, just very maybe I might have ovulated and somewhere around cd100!!

The ovulation line corresponds with the pain but not the opks so much. It's so exciting to see the line after 100 days that I could cry . Will see if when I add my temp tomorrow it doesn't remove this line. I think I recall last cycle they added a line to show when I ovulated but took it away a day later because of a temperature I added that didn't add up. which means that apparently I haven't ovulated in the last 5 months!!!!!! and it could be even longer as I wasn't temping until 4 months of trying.

I reeeeeeeeallllly hope that I have at least ovulated this cycle

Hi all can i join?? was diagnosed with pco in 2001 after having a lot of m/c not on any medication...My cycle is always 28 days can set your clock by it am in 1st month ttc after giving body a rest

hi lisalou. I'd kill for a 28 day cycle. I am more like near day 128!! Hope things work out for you soon. What symptoms do you get with your PCOS?

I was first diagnosed 10 years ago after having 6 m/c and server pain he took one look at me and said i had pco i had to have scans and lap showing i had a lot of cysts on right ovary they couldn't see left at the time...When i was diagnosed i wasn't having regular periods usually every 56 days think it was cause my right ovary was so bad...The only thing he said was you have pco theres nothing we can do lose weight you'll find it will get better...When i asked about the m/c's he just said lose weight.
That was his answer to everything.
I moved after that and was out of the area for that consultant and my gp has never booked me to see another even though im at dr's every other week at least with right sided pain.
After reading on the internet about different medication you can get and tests im thinking i need to go to gp and insist on seeing someone...Im sure i never had a blood test...Have never been offered metformin which i've read is good and can help weight loss.
I think i am one of the lucky one as apart from the m/c's the pain and weight gain i dont really have anything else.

hmm, lucky but no so lucky hun. The pain sounds bad and can't be right! TBH I don't know if it's both my ovaries that are affected as they never said after my scan, just said I had cysts.

I would def def change dr. Metformin helps loads of people and it's what I am hoping I'll get along with clomid
Are you in the UK?
I know some dr's harp on about weightloss, and yes it can help, but it only CAN help, it won't be the answer to all of the problems we have - i feel you on that one being quite overweight myself. I've only had one doctor go on about it, and I just moved dr after that!

yes im from the west midlands going to book an appointment for gp on monday and discuss it with her theres a few other things i want to ask too... After reading up on it loads in the past few days like low progesterone and pco and miscarriage in pco im going to ask to be tested for that i think from what i read that it can be tested 7 days post ovulation. Also i was told i had a antibody but never which one so i want to know that so i can be prepared for my which will hopefully be soon

normally they do a cd 1 and cd2 test for progesterone and other stuff so i reckon they'll do that.

Well I am totally pi55ed off. I went to the dr again 3 weeks ago and was being referred to Jessops. I now get a letter this morning that she's looked into it further and because of the way referral works I need to go back to her to get medication to start my period and then do all the bloods. So not only has it taken 3 weeks for her to tell me this, but now I am not getting a referral any time soon. Am sooooooo angry. Must be the way my PCT works but will ask when i shout on the phone on monday

well my temp has dipped this morning, I took it at the usual time but was very cold when I took it. I then slept for another two hours and took it and it was back up to 36.79. I am of course going to use the first one and am just hoping and praying it goes back up tomorrow

Done an opk and there is a faint faint line. According to FF I am 9 dpo, but I believe I am 6/7 dpo.

Please please send me some more baby dust!!

Did an opk this morning and it's got nothing on it. I did it at 7.30 so am thinking maybe its because I used FMU, so will do another tonight and see if that comes up with anything and then do an HPT tomorrow
