Thanks hun, I remember that one from my own guiding days, bought back some memories! We sing the baby bumblebee song and the littlest worm too, haven't tried those with Fi yet!

I sing this CONSTANTLY - I even find myself doing it when she isnt around - although I sing Caitlyn, Caitlyn as it fits quite nicely.

There must be something wrong with me as I tried singing You Are My Sunshine to LO once and couldn't get through that one either. Must've been hormones. I cry at anything. And I wonder why my LO is such a sensitive soul!!

Hadnt sung this to LO before but remembered the words and didnt make it to the end without tearing up. I also cry at "My Grandfathers Clock"

We sing nelly the elephant, 2 little speckled frogs and old macdonald. If she's upset this always does the trick. Although the animals that ate on old macdonalds farm are amazing, we had a dinosaur according to OH !

Has anyone found some of the nursery rhymes quite disturbing!?

Some of the nursery rhymes are just weird!

Its amazing the animals Macdonald has on his farm -Geese, Donkeys, Goats,.... lions, tigers, woodcutters......

Anyone else sing "hush little baby" - tho I tend to keep that for lullabye time.

I sing loads to dylan. At one point with row row row your boat he would scream at the right part with the crocodile! In the bath with his big sister we sing 5 little ducks, he really giggles when all the ducks come back.
4 wheels on my wagon

cos he can't work any faster (while rocking him back and forth)

animal fair with his monkey, he cries when the monkey disappears and giggles when he comes back lol!

I tried to sing theres a hole in my bucket and there was an old lady but it reminded me of my late grandad and burst into tears!

His current favourite some is zac and Sara by Ben Folds Five. I listened to it alot when he was small and sing or whistle it when hes cross.

LOL I dont profess to know many nursery rhymes so I make my own daft songs up as I go, LO's seems to love it and I know Ive caught mummykins smiling at me from time to time lol

However it seems our LO also has rythm, we were going through a stack of CD's that we had dwon loaded and on certain songs she will beat her legs in time to the music, Oh daddykins was SO proud lol LO is only 5 months old but she knows what music she likes, the favourite being Kirsty Mccall Music (god help us in future lol) but she DIDNT like wee rule by the wee pappa girl rappas lol
