September 2012 (ish) mummies

Ahhh I havent had the sickness but yet but I am absolutely crapping myself for if I do get it!! What do you do if baby does get it?

Not a lot you can do, just keep an eye on fluid intake to make sure she doesn't get to dehydrated. Most I know seen to be over it in a couple of days max, hopefully E won't get it anyway. :)

Wow sorry ladies I went AWOL lol, Jacob is better now after 5dats of a sickness bug immediately followed by 7days of a cold, bless him. Oh and now he's waking screaming in pain with his teeth every night bless him I wish it was a bit easier for him, his cousin (3 weeks older) had his first tooth just appear as if by magic bless him.

Two videos, one of me rambling on and a video of me and Lara in my journal 2, don't wanna flood it in here. But it's basically what we do everyday while I do homework lol

Poor little Jacob. :-( Hope he feels better soon and that tooth doesn't take much longer to come through.

No teeth here, but my other two were 8 and 9 months old so I recon B will be similar.

Thanks hunny, still not through, I should start a thread called Jacobs tooth watch lol, he's been teething since he was 3months lol

Poor Jacob.. I hope those darn teeth push through soon so all of you can get a break. :hugs:

feeling so low ladies, really want another baby :( but im getting married in October got to wait :( xx

B has two teeth. Both bottom ones broken through in the past week.
Still not crawling yet but gets around the room by rolling. She gets her knees under her but not quite enough to crawl yet. :)

Jacob's second tooth cut through yesterday, bless him so he has 2 bottom teeth now. So please for him, he's been so dribbly, here are a couple of new piks of him sitting.

This was taken at my moms house in Monday

Awwww he is such a sweetheart. Look at him sitting! Clever lad. :)

I love all these updates. Jacob is adorable Sproglett! All these clever babies who are now sitting up and have teeth! Amelie has had her 2 bottom teeth for a little over 2 weeks. She's been able to sit up unsupported for a short time for a couple of months now, but these last couple of weeks she been able to sit with just a couple of cushions behind her and play with her toys for ages. Despite being properly spoilt with loads of toys her favourite things to play with are the tops from her bottles, the curtains, the Sky+ remote and my phone! She is still refusing to roll over though (and it's still like trying to change an Octopus!), so she can't get herself back into a sitting position!

Apologies in advance, but the rest of my post is going to be long and selfish, but I really don't know who else I can explain all this to.

I'm really struggling again! I was feeling better once I started on the Citalopram (I'm going to be on it for a least another 4 months according to my GP), but it feels like we are just going from one problem straight into another.

Weaning for us has just turned into a massive problem and I'm really not coping with it well. She was diagnosed as CMPI at 5 weeks old. The paediatrician who saw was sure that she was Soya intolerant too, but we couldn't test it until she was 6 months. As suspected she is intolerant, so we have been referred back to the Dietician (who we weren't due to see again until Amelie is 11 months) but told to continue introducing new foods as normal. Now I was aware we had a small chance of her possibly being intolerant to Wheat and/or Gluten because of the CMPI and Soya intolerance. But after she had Weetabix she came out in Hives everywhere! She was really bloated and uncomfortable for a couple of days after eating it too, so it clearly just doesn't agree with her.

She developed hives again a few days later when she ate a jar of baby food (which only containing Carrots, Peas, Onions, Tomatoes, water, baby rice, Chicken and Rapeseed Oil). Everytime she eats anything with Pear in it her Eczema flares up, so we have been referred back to Paediatrics (who discharged us when Amelie was 10 weeks old as she was gaining weight on hypoallergenic formula, so it is going to be 6ish weeks before we get an appointment). Whilst we wait for an appointment I'm under instructions to only feed Amelie fresh homemade food, and we can only introduce one new food a week.

Weaning hasn't made her reflux any better either, it just means her sick is now the colour of whatever she has eaten (usually something Orange!) I'm now having to wash all of her clothes in Vanish stain remover at least twice to get the stains out.

Then on top of that over the last couple of days she seems to have developed an aversion to eating anything that isn't cereal! Whenever I try to feed her a puree she will eat a couple of spoonfuls before clamping her mouth shut and arching backwards.

If you've managed to get to the end of my saga, thank you for reading. :)

Oh LC how awful for you all. :-(
I hope the paeds/dietitians can help.
Glad Amelie is doing well development wise. Some of B'a fave toys are an empty Pepsi bottle, any phone/iPod/remote wipes etc. don't know why I bothered buying her toys lol.

Ah yes I forgot about the wipes! She's only interested in the packet though.

I do try to keep in mind throughout my pity parties that there are people in the world who would love to only worry about a few feeding issues in an otherwise healthy child.

Awww hunny, bless Amelie I really hope they get things sorted soon for you, it must be really hard. :-( big hugs!!!

We too have gained another appointment, we have one Wednesday which we new about at Birmingham children's hospital, with the cardiac consultant, this is to scan his heart again, he has to go every couple of months as he has a pinch in his aorta that causes a high heart rate, and a thickened heart wall which could be a sign of heart disease, but no diagnosis as of yet, so fingers crossed.

As for the additional appointment, this is with his neo-natal consultant at New Cross, we were not supposed to be going again until he is 12 months but at our last hv appointment his head measurement had gone over the line it was following (we have to have measurements every 4 weeks as they were monitoring his head size) so we have got to see his consultant Friday to see if they want to scan his head for susspected hydrocephalus (3 family members had this), his measurements are; head between 91st and 98th centile, (did follow the 91st line) weight below 25th centile and height below 0.4th centile

Oh and the least of his concerns is his undecended testicle, if this doesn't make an appearance by his first birthday, he's gonna have to go under the knife, bless him.
