A thread for all us ladies with shopping problems

If everyone sets a target of how much spare money they are willing to spend each week and how much you have saved by doing so I will put it on the front page for us all to spur each other on.

I'll start

I am hoping to spend no more than £20 a week on things that I don't need. This includes things such as bingo buying from BnB and eBay

I think we will be best off starting next week from Monday.

I have worked out what my savings should be from next week until the end of August. If I save the £30 extra a week that we usually have we should have £960 by August to go towards the wedding or a new car. There are 32 weeks from now until the end of August

PS If anyone is any good at making blinkies let me know and we can get a blinkie made! xx

ill join im awful i cant go into a supermarket without coming out about 100 lighter, i always have to buy jesse an outfit or something, takeaways, mcdonalds, avon!, cinema trips to see films more than once! extra food i dont need just cus its on offer, blah blah count me in lol!

How much are you looking to allow yourself a week?

I have allowed myself £10 for anything I want really including the kids. I have budgeted all of our expenditures, including bills, shopping and diesel etc. So this £10 is for takeaways, make up, clothes, kids everything basically! xx

okkk..this is hard..im going to give myself £20 a week to spend on non-essentials.. and im hoping to put £300 a month into savings so that by august i have at least £2000 for a car .

hoping to manage to save for driving lessons

I usually spend money on food at work when I have food at my house

Don't want to spend anymore than £15 on anything other than essentials like food, nappies etc etc

Can I join too? I've decided we need to start budgeting and saving. Were only 2 weeks into month and we've got nothing left a phone bill took the last. Me and hubby r both spenders!! we dnt think just spend. But nw I'm taking charge hehe. I've given us 30 a week to spend but going to try spend less. I've even nw set up a milkman who going to deliver milk nd bread on regular basis this way I'm not tempted at crap when go in shop and it only going to cost 20 a month which normally we spend that a week on milk bread and all the extra crap we buy lol. So with that sorted hopefully the 30 won't b used and can be used for a weekend trip extra savings or something
then I've set up 100 into savings and 20 to lo bank. All money for bills will go into separate account with lil extra money in there incase. I think I planned well but will find out next month. And in couple months will have paid of things and then at least another 200 can go to savings. That if we stick to it lol,

were between houses at the moment and i need to save up abit because iv spent half of our deposit on christmas, so were about 1000 down from what we were and its pretty hard saving up with only one wage but hey if i cut out all the clothes i buy every week and the avon, and the on offer stuff and the takeaways and the mc donalds just cus were driving past, etc etc, we might be alright, because weve had a couple of months with no out goings apart from car insurance, food and contract phone iv got used to spending loads on crap but im gunna need to stop when we move out or we will be skint,

well this morning i set up a 2nd current account so i can put money in there each month to pay bills, like lecci and gas, tv licence ect. i was going to set up direct debits until i realised often direct debits have taken the last of our money so this way it means im in control and if it does ever come to us having no money, like something comes up and we spend extra i can say right this bill can wait and we can use that money then cover the bill the following month if that makes sense.
then every 3 months when bills are due i should have enough in the bill account to pay it all.and it wouldnt have been spent by accident as it will be in seperate account. ive set up bill manager through lloyds to help me keep on track.

im impressed with my self just need to stay strong and not spend , and i really need to keep off ebay haha!! x
