Hi all, I haven't posted on here in a couple of years since my little girl was born! Now trying for baby number 2 since Christmas but pregnancy wasn't planned with my daughter so this TTC is all new really! This may be a silly question but I have noticed a pattern on my OPKs over last few months which goes like this:
CD10- very faint OPK
CD11-faint
CD12-almost positive
Cd13-very dark positive
CD14-very faint again

I use IC tests. I test about 6pm every time so does this suggest I'm probably ovulating on day 14 sometime or does the surge just mean sometime soon? My periods don't arrive on same day in cycle but seem to ovulate at same time which is strange. Thanks in advance for your help!

A positive means the surge has been detected so u tend to ovulate 12-24 hours or something like that after u have had ur surge. Hope this helps x

Thank you for your reply! I am having pains as I type so maybe this is it as I had my positive OPK earlier this eve

The only way to know for sure is to temp.
Opks only detect an lh surge, not that an egg has actually been realeased.

I agree with Mississippi03, temping defiantly confirms ovulation. Ovulation normally takes place 12-36 hours after a positive OPK. Good luck and get to bd'ing :dust:
