Sperm Meets Egg Plan - Anyone Else care To Join Me?

Hey Ladies

Well being as the damn got me on friday this will now be our 15th cycle ttc

So, at the advice of some lovely ladies on here, i'm going to give the SMEP a go for the first time Just wondered if anyone else was trying it and wanted any support and buddies along the way

I'm currently CD3 and although it says traditionally to start the plan on CD10, because I tend to get my positive opk around that day im going to start on CD6

Im also going back to charting this month and will be using conceive plus from CD8 untill FF has
confirmed ovulation

I'm also going to start this month feeling positive and now relax for the next few days waiting for CD6
to come around

I've never heard of this but being 11th cycle trying now definitely willing to give anything a go! I'm on CD9 today. Could you explain what it is please?

Do you know what day you normally ov?

Basically for people who ovulate around cd14 (I tend to ovulate cd10-12 which is why I'm starting early) then the plan is that from cd10 onwards you use opks and :dtd: every other day. On the day you get a positive opk you :dtd: and also the next two nights and then miss a day again and then have one final "try" the following day

We were doing it but are on CD23 I think with no O yet. Two false LH surges.

We are getting really tired of BD every other day, but yesterday we broke the rules and DTD on our off day because we were in the mood. I think that I am ovulating really soon, so I am not worrying too much about it.

We're still doing the opks, but it's getting expensive! Not sure why my last two cycles suddenly got so long.

Ah so it's better to bd every other day rather than every day. Last cycle we tried bd'ing every day from CD 10 til 2DPO but with no is it to build up the spermies on the day in-between?

Every other day until you get a +OPK, then 3 days in a row, one off, and then one more for insurance.

I was going to give the SMEP a try this month, i dont temp or that so cant say for def what day i ovulate. so will i just start from CD8?? is that the normal....some say cd8 others cd10.

If you ovulate around CD14, I would start at CD8, if you're later, I would start at CD10.

We are dtd every other day and will do it everyday if I spot egg White cm. Is this like the plan? I don't chart or use ovulation tests x

I would definitely do it everyday as soon as you see eggwhites or watery cervical fluid.

I think I just got my +OPK, waiting for digi confirmation.

I am doing SMEP this month. On CD 16 now and been doing it since about CD8. Not too fed up with the BD ing yet, every other day is quite manageable ;-)

But - still no positive OPK. So now I am feeling really worried that maybe I am not ovulating. I am trying temping this month. Tried it last month and didnt get on well. If I dont get a + at all this month maybe I'll go see my doctor. I only have 1 ovary so need to help to know its def working!

I'm on CD23 and my OPK was very close to being positive. Don't worry yet, I find that every now and then, my cycles get longer.

When I googled SMEP it said if you font get a positive OPK keep BDing every other day until CD35 then if AF still not there test then

CD 35 - wow thats a lot of BD ing! Thanks for the advice. I stopped BCP in May and have had a fairly regular cycle of about 30 days since then so I figured all must be ok. Only started to worry since we decided to step up from NTNP to TTC and using OPKs etc.

I use the same OPKs as you canadianmaple and not had so much as a very faint second line yet - yours looks quite dark.

I did this my current cycle as my fertility specialist had suggested this from the start. However, I really felt good about it this time but, I have been testing since 8dpo all with BFN, a couple of IC was questionable but my FRERS have been definate BFN. I tested yesterday at 13dpo and I am out of test today but I feel I am out anyways. Goodluck to ya'll. I think it is really a good plan for quality, quanity and motility of sperm and TTC.
