step parents support thread

maybe because some multiple pregnanies are high risk? Iv heard of someone who was pregnant with 4 and was told it might be best to reduce numbers.(she went on to have all 4 healthy babies)

Yes as Inge says. We become a high risk pregnancy with triplets so I think its just an option to reduce the risk for me and the babies. Its not something we will consider unless they told us something like my life was in danger etc.

Am feeling pretty rough today! Have had a week of bad morning sickness but nothing else, not even been as tired as I was when I was pregnant with one last december!! Am sure the tiredness will kick in big time soon though!!

Xx

I am now officially a married woman.

And ahhh flamingo. Gotcha. I couldn't do it either.

Cowboys Angel- Congratulations!! Pictures please ;)

Thanks lilbeanfolk! How are you getting on with your pregnancy?

Xx

Pregnancy is good except that I was diagnosed with gest. diabetes yesterday. So was pretty bummed out. Waiting for the consult to go through for me to see the diabetic specialist. But otherwise it's been a breeze and am loving feeling her kick and squirm. Keep us updated on those amazing triplets!!

Thanks ladies. I will post pictures later. I am still on my honeymoon. :happydance:

Congratulations Mrs!

Hope everything is still going well pinkflamingo xx

So far so good thanks Tally! Had some sickness this week but nothing too serious. Am quite nervous about it all after having a mc a few months ago, but trying not to think about it all too much! Got my 30th in the next week so that's enough of a worry to keep me occupied for next few days!!! But what a special gift I have been given this year! Dh did try and explain that there was no point him getting me a gift as he wouldn't be able to top what he has already given me!! Nice try but it didn't work!!

Xx

you know how I said OH's ex thinks he has to do everytihng for her and pay her way in life? Wel hes just finished 6:30am-6:30pm shift as a security gaurd and is knackered but had to go drive 40mins to drop off a lead for her games console  Hes due to pick ss up monday as hes on these day shifts so it could have waited as it wasnt important but he had to or else hell would break lose. She showed him the 2 pairs of £100 headphones she bought this week too. This is the women who says she has no money and cant afford food and demands OH to give her bill money weekly :dohh: we have our own bills to pay for so I dont know why she expects us to help her out when she wastes money on junk when she has bills and debts :nope:

congrats cowboys angel !
lilbean - hope you feel ok :flower:

Crikey Inge, it would do my head in if OH still pandered to the ex that much... he used to but realised a while ago that it was actually destructive on many levels... it was a) encouraging the demanding entitlement complex she had, (she was telling the boys that dad would buy them new trainers and xbox games when they came to us, and then OH would go drop them off and there was a new leather lounge suite in the house among other things:shock:) and b) screwing with our relationship because he was putting her bullshit demands before our needs. Massive :hugs:, it's so horrible having that kind of crap to deal with x

Pinkflamingo, I'm sure you will be fine! Have you got anything planned for your birthday? Mine's next month and OH has bought me a spa day! He does it every year, he jokes that it'll bore me, but I couldn't ask for a better gift than getting to go off and be pampered while he holds the fort at home!
 at your DH's lame attempt to get out of spoiling you!

Can't wait to see pics cowboys angel!

xx

Thanks Tally. Just going home to spend a few days with all the family. We are going to a dolly parton concert next week! Mum is a fan and so I have been dragged along! Went with her a few years ago and it was fab I have to say!

Tally are all your wedding plans sorted or coming together nicely? I hope so! X

Inge I agree with Tally all of that 'meeting demands' would do my head in! I also agree that the longer he goes along with it the longer she will carry on and the bigger the demands will be. I think that men do it at the start for an easy life and because they see it as doing a good thing in a roundabout way for the kids, but sometimes they need us to make them toughen up and stand up for themselves. My point would be that if she can't afford to look after the kids herself with the money that is being given in child support then maybe your oh should suggest that you have the children more often so that the expense falls on you guys. I am sure that if he starts suggesting something like that she will back off. He does need to be firm but I guess he has to want to stop all the extras himself for him to stand up to her.
Good luck hun.

Xx

he has stopped (a while ago) but she does ask for "next weeks money" and advance but hes gotten alot tougher since we got our own place. She can easily afford to look after her son but she chooses to buy other things and use the money for herself and OH has to buy everything for his son. The money he gives is for SS food, clothes and school things but she still expects extra then say OH has to buy the school things/clothes. I think its odd that she says she cant afford food and clothing for her son but when we see her in the supermarket theres a good few case of beer :dohh: I always put Leo first and never get myself nice things. My shampoo is from poundland but iv just spent £12 on 3 hair care items and felt bad so had to buy Leo stuff to make it better.
I get annoyed when he finished a 12hr shift and is expected to drive over for silly things that can wait :nope:

:hugs: Sorry Inge

By the way folks, wedding pics are up on my fb, feel free to add me if you wanna see them. Link in my signature.

went for an amazing day out today.. but was a little ruined..
Went out 8am got to the destination (bristol) about 9am, saw OHs old work friends and met my family at 11am for pics and cuddles with Leo. But then the trouble started:dohh: Jack (ss) got bored (was telling his mum last night he didnt want to go out cos he wanted to play xbox:dohh:) we thought its better to be out and have a nice day out and a meal then cooped up indoors infron of a tv  OH nearly snapped many times:nope: Basicalled J kept saying he need the toilet and OH had to walk to the nearest loo every 30mins and less only for J to say he didnt need to go :dohh: Then he kept trying to cover Leo with his blanket and whenever Leo was quiet he would ripp the blanket out of his hands and make him cry again. He was happy when he got an ice cream though. Bit annoyed that we were in moods the whole day out. Also I forgot my damn purse in the fuss this morning so OH had to make me a budget of £100 to spend:happydance: Got smaller clothes so im h-a-p-p-y  we were out 8am-8pm :haha: im knackered :haha:
