Stopped BCP & TTC! Whos with me?!

Elle- I'm so glad you are doing ok, do whatever you need to do to grieve! How is your husband doing with everything?
Faye- so exciting!! I'm jealous you and angel are out for the summer, the heat is killing me!
Angel- woohoo for graduating!! And so glad everything looks good!
Afm I had an US with the specialist yesterday and baby's kidney issue resolved, so relieved! Everything looked great and they estimated him currently at 4lbs 5 oz 16 inches long based off of measurements. We saw part of his face in 3d and I think he's sooooo cute already! They want me to go for weekly monitoring because I'm hypothyroid but I honestly think they just want money because my levels have been great and baby looks good. I'm going to ask my regular doc next week if it's really necessary!

My endocrinologist ( I was diagnosed with hashimotos) told me that when I do get pregnant they will be doing a few more ultrasounds then normal to make sure there is no thyroid issues with the baby..
Angel soon enough you'll have one too! You're almost to the second tri, it seems like it's going to fast now!
Gagarlin - oh really?? I don't have hashimotos just hypothyroid, although maybe it's for anyone with thyroid issues? I knew they monitored tsh frequently but didn't know about more ultrasounds!

Gagrl - the nice thing about the extra ultrasounds is that you get ot see your LO so much more! I've been so spoiled the last several weeks, I don't know what I'll do in 2nd Tri when I don't get weekly US. LoL DH is teasing I won't be able to handle not getting my weekly scan. 
Angel I know on one hand I'm like sure, the more scans the better! I love seeing baby frequently 
but on the other hand ive read some controversy about the safety of frequent ultrasounds to the fetus so that makes me nervous! (Although nothing has been proven, I think it's just one of those what -ifs) But I'm anxious either way haha. I've had 8 ultrasounds so far this pregnancy, most women only get 2 or 3!

I did some more tip searching for how to use a doppler at 10-11weeks and found out I was looking too high. I was looking about an inch, or inch and a half below belly button. I started looking right on pubic bone basically, or a few cm above, and I think I found it! It was DISTINCTLY different sound than the other sounds I've been finding and sounded a lot like the hb I heard at doctor office. Doppler couldn't get a good read on the rate, but it kept bouncing around in the 130-140s. I audio recorded about 15 seconds on my phone, manually counted beats and I think it's about 156 bpm give or take, so I'm 99.9% sure i found baby! 
Ajangel - I've heard contradicting things regarding frequent US, but my doctor had no qualms about having me come in for weekly US so I'm not worried about it. My friends have all expressed amazement at the number of US I've had too. By end of 1st Tri I will have had 8-9 US. Probably won't get any more than one more though after that.

Sorry I haven't been on here ladies. Was away for a wedding all weekend, and have been very busy at work. But today we did a private ultrasound to find out gender.... And found out we are having ourselves a pretty princess!!! We are elated and cannot wait to share with the family next weekend over the long holiday weekend!

I took the plunge this weekend and chopped off all my hair! I went from having hair half way down my back to a pixie cut!! 
I was nervous but am loving it. And it's SO MUCH COOLER! I added a couple pics for fun.

So today is 12w+1. Had my last visit with my RE. I'm actually a little emotional about it.
They've been so great with me, and because they are so small they have really gotten to know us! All the nurses gushed over my hair today, commenting on it as soon as I walked in, which just goes to show how well they recognize their patients.
Baby is measuring at 12w+4, everything looks good. Doctor could see spine looked good (no sign of spina bifida), progress looks good. Baby was sleeping so doctor had me cough a few times to wake baby up, and at the very end I got to see baby stretching and turning. HB was 156 (I'm totally leaning toward this is going to be a boy if we base it on the HB myth). And, as a bonus, I get to drop down to 1 progesterone pill a day for the next week and then every other day for a week and then I'm free from pills! 
My follow up with my OB is next week. And then....another 4 weeks before my next appointment! How will I survive?!

So I just need a small place to vent.. In the last two days, 3 more people I know announced they are pregnant... I'm so happy for them but it's so frustrating because I feel like it's not happening for me.. I know so many pregnant woman.. Not even kidding It's in the teens now, like 13-16 ladies I know pregnant right now...
