Good morning! Sorry about the spotting, Charmed! I'm the same way as Patience, I tend to spot for a day, stop for a day or two, then start again...for up to about 5 days before AF finally arrives. :/ I agree with you, if she's going to come I wish she just would without all this starting and stopping spotting stuff. I hope it's ib for you though or something else and not AF coming! Fingers crossed!

Patience, it is nice to get those crosshairs for sure! FF initially had gave me crosshairs with O day a day earlier than I know it was, so I was happy yesterday morning when it adjusted itself to the correct day after I entered in my temp! Wahoo! So I'm now 4dpo and just waiting around, killing time...

Hey turtle! I'm doing well. First day of AF was a bitch but it calmed down and really only lasted 3 days, just very light spotting today. CD4 and excited to get this cycle going thanks for checking!

Can someone help this new girl out with her silly question? Lol. Im trying to figure out the "open/closed" cervix....when I was in my "most fertile". I swear i felt it being open....now waiting for AF...i figure it should be closed yet it feels,like the opening is like a nose...like a bump or something. I thought before it was flat around the opening. So lost. Lol

As I understand, if it feels like a nose then it is closed & if it feels like pursed lips then it's open HTH. Saying that, mine always seems to fee like lips when I feel! Talk about confusing!

Cdex glad AF was quick for you!

Afm: I'm on CD 32. I have killer AF cramps but no AF. I'm a little confused because usually when I've got a really bad cramps I'm bleeding. But no bleeding yet. Hmmm. Gonna wait a few days and see what happens.

Afm, I'm an absolute wreck today going to the specialist this afternoon and I have a mental meltdown whenever I think about it! I just don't know how to get her to understand she doesn't think thin lining is affecting implantation, doesn't think low progesterone brings on my period too early, and doesn't know how to help me. How can I argue that? She's meant to be the specialist not me, I can't sit and say "i read on the Internet that" but I'm just so sure that's what's wrong

Thank you Patience. I'm glad it's made its mind up at least! DH & I are going to up our game this cycle! I was thinking about trying pre-seed but I'm worried about where to buy it from as I'm in the UK. Also, has anyone tried the Ovia app? I entered last cycle's data & it thinks I Od on CD25! Weird. I don't like their charts much! Will probably stick with FF.

Patience, I'm really hoping she surprises you. Can you push her to test further anyway, just to put your mind at ease? I find some Drs are willing, others not so much Really hope your appointment goes well. I don't see how she can say low progesterone or a thin lining wouldn't have any sort of effect on implantation, maybe you could ask her to clarify why? FX for you hun xx

Elizabeth, you'll get the hang of it. My first month was a bit scatty, my second was better but I'm still learning My CP was high for a large chunk of my last cycle & felt closes when it should have been open & vice versa >.< It changes throughout the day as well so it could be that you're just missing it! I try not to check too often as it drives me mad. Haha. xx

Checking my cervix actually helped me more than checking cm (I couldn't tell cm from semen). But I didn't really get it until the end... like I didn't know what soft was until I felt hard one day and felt the difference, same with high/low, etc. I never knew if I was open/closed except for around the time I think I O'd I felt almost like I could have stuck my finger up there it was so open (I Didn't!!) but it was like a hole soo I was like ohhhh I guess that's open. lol And then I never felt that again.

Patience I'm so sorry you're having to go through all of this. She doesn't sound like a very good specialist to me. Her job is to fix it for you, or at least try! Is there any way you can see someone else? I would honestly at this point break down crying in her office and demand SOMETHING be done. Definitely ask WHY she thinks your suggestions are wrong. And if she doesn't think that's the problem then what else could it be and how do we test/fix that? Tell her you've been trying for this long and obviously something isn't working and you want answers! Do they do HSG's? I know that's a first stop a lot of times here to check everything out and mark any problems there off the list. (I work in xray where they do them) I really hope today surprises you and you get some satisfaction.

I have a Q about FF.. after I put AF in this morning, it's given me lots of boxes with green squares! why has it done that? I've got 3 dark green boxes (filled), one light green filled box & then 6 empty boxes with light green outlines! What does that mean? So confused!

You know Patience, its very sad but not all doctors care like they should about their patients, sometimes years in the field does that. I would think about switching too, you'd feel much better with the right doctor *hugs*

Afm' the wait is driving me nuts, so I decided to go on an opk rampage. I'll test everyday until I see a positive or AF comes, because doing nothing is making me feel like crap right now.

Thanks for the tips ladies, it's really helped! I have a full list of questions to ask her and I'm not leaving without answers! I just hope I get worked up enough to cry, it's the sad way of the world that the loud and unpleasant people get what they're after and the quiet people get walked over :/ time to be that asshole! She's pushing me off so they don't have to spend money and I've had it!

Charmed that's FF giving you potential fertile days in light green and potential ov days in dark it will adjust based on the more months info it has to go off!

Charmed, somewhere on FF, I use the mobile app and it's at the bottom, there is a button that says key. It will tell you what all the colored boxes and whatnot mean but yes potential fertile days and ov day.

Lol, I don't think I explained myself very well, I'll post a photo later. I don't mean what they mean in advance, what I mean is it all changed for this cycle when I added in my AF. So weird! It went from 3 days dark green & CD24 light green (all filled in), to that plus 6 green outlines boxes! why did it add those boxes after I put in AF? :/ I'll post a photo later cos I'm confusing myself! Surely it can't think that I could have Od anywhere within those 7 days, surely? And why only change when I get AF? Ohhh, FF, why are you so confusing!

Feeling so rubbish today. Cycling with AF is no fun.. & not for the reason you'd think. I'm just knackered! Ugh xx

I despaired for a bit but I'm booked in for the expensive blood test which I'll go do tomorrow and then seeing her right after my period to do that test where they put fluid up your hoohah and of an u/s to check for abnormalities, what's ray called? I'm pleased these are also necessary steps in order to get help and/or ivf

I didn't read through every page of this thread because it's so long so if it's already answered feel free to direct me.

So I stopped BCP (it was the no period kind to prevent cysts) and have been off for a month this past Saturday. I have not had AF as of yet and wondered if that was normal. Like PP's have mentioned, I have had symptoms so severe and along with an oops I was convinced I was pregnant but got a BFN.

So my question is, how soon did you guys get AF? Should I be concerned? I know my doc said at my exam if I didn't get it in 2 months they would give me medicine to start one but she made it sound like that wasn't a common thing.

Elizabeth, I honestly have never been able to figure out open vs closed either. I'm so glad to hear from so many of you that I'm not alone in that! I was wondering if I was crazy or just stupid when it came to it, or what!

MrsHudson, welcome! I for one was pretty lucky and my first cycle off the pill was only 27 days. But I know there have been many on here who have had VERY long cycles after first coming off the pill, before their first AF arrived. So I don't think it's really that rare to have that happen, as your body is trying to regulate your hormones. Good luck, and I hope it starts for you soon!

MrsHudson...unfortunately my first cycle was 67 days and my second was 41. Really hoping this one is a little shorter. It is completely normal to have a delayed period after stopping bcp but you shouldn't wait more than 3 months.
