Hey girls! So I had my regular weekly checkup with the specialist today and they estimated baby is around 6 lbs 2 oz. How accurate is this? Nst went well. I see my ob friday morning to schedule section. Can't wait!

Great news! Scans are just estimates. Usually they say they can be a pound off up or down. They estimated my last baby a few days before born over 9 pounds, but she was only 8.3. This time around baby is measuring way bigger he was estimated 7.12 last week so we'll see!

My OB estimated baby girl at 7 lbs last week and I have my first US since week 20 tomorrow (plus that GBS swab) so it'll be neat to see how far off she is. Can't wait to see baby girl again!

With mine I've found they over-estimate a little, but I've heard stories either side of what the baby actually is. With DD, I was told 5lb 3 oz and she was 4 lb 13 oz over a week later. With ds1 I was told 8 lb 5 oz at 36 weeks (scared me!!) He was 7 lb 5 oz at 37w5d.

My OB says they tend to be more accurate with smaller babies. I'm really not sure.

I just had my 36w appointment. I have to take paracetomol 4 times a day for my back pain, and she is fully engaged, yay! Also been advise to stop work now, be on sick pay for a week and then start my mat leave the following week. I don't know what to do!

I think I'm taking today off (well, it's 1:30 so not much of today left tbh ...) and going in for 3 more days. I was sent for a ctg and she worried us for a bit by not giving us any accelerations or good movements, they gave me chocolate and she was right as rain! Gotta go back for another on Monday.

Hmm. Well I hope she isnt to much smaller than what they estimate. Today is 36 W 5 D and I am hoping to have something happen soon. I have not carried a baby past 37 weeks so that will be a first if it happens. Does anyone know whether they do a GBS swab on a c section patient? I see my OB tomorrow maybe if she does I can get her to check if I am dilating or anything fun like that lol!! I think today I may begin walking for 20 mins a day to see if that helps.

Everyone else sounds like they are getting along very well! Cant wait to hear about your scan Mn.

Hi girls - Hope everyone is ok!!

Second that on the 'no-nesting', I can't believe how much I haven't done that I had hoped to do, with DS1 I did something everyday, I even asked my MW yesterday if in her experience 2nd time mums feel less likely to nest and she just laughed and said she never did it with any of hers. When I told her my waters went with DS whilst cleaning the kitchen floor on all floors she said 'see, I knew housework was bad for ya!'

So today my mum treated me to an hour of reiki and reflexology which I have to say was lovely. The reflexology probably more my cuppa and so i'm having another session next week

This boy sure has dropped within the last 24 hours, I only said to a friend yesterday morning how I was nearly 37 weeks and have no signs and feel fine to carry on for a few weeks.... and boom, I can barely walk now and getting out of bed/off the sofa, well I mean seriously, its like exercise all on its own!

I dont think they do because it wouldnt matter since they arent passing through it!

Well ladies everything was great! I am soooo relieved!
Baby Allie is measuring 6lb 10 oz. I *think* I remember she said 58th percentile? So at half a lb a week she'll be a chunker. She was wiggling a lot, gave a yawn and twerked her butt into my ribs the whole time lol. Even fluid levels were good. I'm not even one iota dilated, maybe next week will be a different story.

Baby.love- per my OB, there's no need for a GBS since they're other passing through the birth canal.

Have a great day girls. Time to take pup for a walk and then get ready for work. Blah.

As for me, my MW's box and the gas canisters were delivered to my house this afternoon and I have a checkup at home tomorrow. They are supposed to go on call for my Home birth at 38 weeks which would be Sunday so it's all getting organised before the weekend! I wouldn't say no to sharing my birthday with the LO (tomorrow)! It's all becoming really real!

Oh and I am also "anti-nesting" I went to poundland yesterday for one thing and ended up impulse buying £20 worth of cleaning stuff which I didn't need and haven't used Luckily we have a Roomba as I cannot do vacuuming any more

MnG so glad your growth scan went well!!

Babylove I was a repeat CS last pregnancy and they still did one. I even asked ahead of time to make sure I didn't need it, and they said it's standard procedure. I think maybe bc if DS1 had flipped to head down I could have tried for vbac. But that wasn't expected to happen bc of my uterus. This time I don't think they're doing it bc I have no shot of vba2c.
