The Northern Ireland Crew!!

Oh you're getting close! How exciting, how are you feeling?

That makes sense EmyDra, didn't realise that. It's good there's a section like this though, where we can pick each others brains (in a non-zombie way) about hospitals/local doctors etc...

Welcome!! I take white tea with no sugar thanks :haha:

It has been awful quiet here recently. Hope everyone is ok?

Holywood mum - can't believe your due so soon. Best of luck with everything.

Anyone fancy a meet? I've heard that Happytown place in ards is good x

Hi Bazinga, I noticed in your sig you have PCOS, so do I. Do you take anything for it, try to control it with diet etc? I've been able to reduce my cycles from 45-75 days to 28-35 through diet.

I'm always interested to hear what other PCOSers are doing.

Hope everybody else is well.

I got my BFP last week at 16DPO, very nervous with my history but I'm going to see Dr Hunter (RMC specialist) at the Royal on the 6th Sept so praying all will be ok.

Im a married lady now! Everything went perfectly!!

Hoping this is your sticky bean Angel, I take it you'll be having frequent scans? They need to keep a close eye on you x

Rebecca you look stunning :)

:hi: to all the newcomers!

It has been quiet in here! LittleAurora love your wedding pics, you look beautiful :flower:

I've PCOS also AngelSerenity I didn't think I did anything to reduce my cycles infact I was never given any advice to do so lol! Would have come in handy if I was :dohh: the only problem I have is the god awful spots and the painful heavy periods :growlmad:

We were planning no 3 but have went back to WTT for the meantime, I only came off the pill for just over a month and was quite surprised my period came after 5 weeks! Omg the spots I have are awful, I usually have quite clear skin, AND the bloody hairs on my legs etc decided to get thicker also :growlmad: stupid progesterone, yeah thanks ovaries :grr:

We've decided to wait until next year to ttc instead as we feel its too early yet due to other commitments. Also with Madison being behind on her development we are going to focus on her improvement first, which is actually going really well at the min!

She can say a few words and has started to understand what I ask her on some things! So theres the main one shooey (juice lol), ball, car, two, three, four, five (numbers not clear but understandable!) go and I think that's about it! She can point to almost any colour and shape ask her and she can identify mummy, daddy, Alex etc :cloud9:

And there's my extra long paragraph lol I always ramble on in here :haha:

I also take other vits and have dramatically reduced my sugar intake .. my system coming back to normal that is for sure ... had the worst PMT for the first time in my life !!! my OH thought he was living with a different woman !!!! ... I cried because the paper I was using to light the fire wouldnt catch !!! lol .. we have been trying for 2 yrs and have only had 1 chemical .. problem is just with me .. OH has super sperm !!!

CONGRATULATIONS on your BFP .. did you have any help or was it natural ??

And congratulations LittleAurora on the wedding ... I see Vera Wang had a fab black dress in her collection this year, it was all layered and fluffy .. My dress is coloured too .. its baby blue .. didnt see much point having a white dress second time around .. as Ive already did a 'white wedding' !! lol

Congratulations on your BFP!! Hope it is a sticky for you!

I am on metformin and it has really cut down my cycles to 32-45 days. The last cycle before I started was 300+ days. Nightmare! But glad it is regularising out. Am also taking Agnus Castus to shorten them.

Little Aurora - you looked stunning :wedding:

Evening ladies, thanks for all the wishes.

Lilltepeps, Bazinga, xpink, it's great to hear other success stories re PCOS. Doctors paint it all doom and gloom :growlmad:. With some simple changes we can control it and miracles happen.

All my pregnancies have been naturally conceived. I also use Agnus Castus. Basically we couldnt conceive for 6 years, had 6 cycles of Clomid which failed and then I did loads of research myself, not listening to doctors. I followed a low-GI/non-dairy diet, cut out the booze , kept fit and took Agnus Castus. I fell pregnant within 2 cycles. Long story short I now fall pregnant quickly but it's now keeping them. I had a DS in Nov 10 after 3 MCs and we started trying at the end of last year once my periods came back after breastfeeding for a year. Another 2MCs later I'm on the roller coaster again .

I'm only on LDA at the moment until I see the specialist next week and yes I'm really hoping I get better care this time. In my last pregnancy they referred me to Antrim for an emergency appointment, which came through 4 weeks later!

C'est la vie...

I can't believe I've put my heating on, the first time in weeks!

Have a good weekend all xo

Aurora, your pics are brilliant, you really look as if you were having the time of your life ;-). Many congratulations again. Absolutely loved your bouquet, where did the idea come from?

Hope your appointment at the Royal goes well Angel
Aurora, your wedding pics look fab!
Pinkpanda, that's great to hear that Madison's speech is coming on - it must be such a relief to you - here's hoping progress is steady now

It's really nice to have this thread chatting again! I hope if you meet you all have fun - that place in Newtownards I've seen good pics of, looks like lots of fun!

Congrats on your bfp angel, hope all goes well for you.

Rebecca your pics are fab, you looked gorgeous! x

Hi ladies, just thought I'd bump the thread up. How you all doing?

I've had a lowish week but I'm doing ok. I had another MC, this time at 7wks 1day (my 6th MC) on Monday. It was kinda of expected but it still sucks, especially since wednesday was my due date from my 4th MC .

On the plus I am back at the Royal next Thursday to look at more care options. Does anybody attend Dr Hunter there?

And can anybody recommend a good reflexologist, preferably with a spiritual outlook, in the Belfast / Co Antrim area?

Has anybody started putting their heating on yet, it's getting near that time :cold: xo
