Hee hee, I looked in the mirror for mOre than the cursory "have I got sick or poop on me?" glance the other day and all I could think was where the he'll has this old woman come from????? Please god let it be temporary!!

Honestly, I can't even look at myself any more. Since I can't have any of my trusty botox because I'm BFing I'm worrying that perhaps I actually looked this old for years without knowing!

How frustrating! No sure start centre? I don't know what I would've done without mine. I mean term time only? How rediculous is that, babies don't do 'terms'!

I looked at sure start and that's where they all said term time this really is a backwards town I just want to make at least one friend!

To MIL (again, I know) if you EVER slap me again whether it's in "jest" or not, I will not let you anywhere near me or my daughter again.
I was talking to the other mum about our babies, seeing as you don't have one, butt out! We were talking about j's reflux (just mild) and I was saying how she had good days and bad days, MIL was being nosey and only caught the last bit, and thought I was saying Jenny was a bad baby, and so she slapped me on the arm and said "don't you say that about her,my granddaughter is perfect" it was a wee bit sore. How dare she raise a hand to me?!! in front of a whole wedding?! About something that's none of her business?! Even if I was was saying she was a nightmare,it's STILL none of her business!
God, writing this reminds me how angry I am!
What am I going to do? My mum wouldn't think about hitting me. What if she smacks my daughter...? Am I worrying unnecessarily? It wasn't. Hard smack, but I still think she had no right!

nothing... I just said "I was talking about her reflux!!!" and gave her a totally horrified look. Then was mortified, it was her nieces wedding so I didn't want to make a scene!
The lady I was talking to looked a bit horrified! I don't know if it was a me cos she saw the anger and hatred in my eyes, or at mil for doing it!
Needless to say I went to room soon after, citing jennys cluster feeding as a reason.
I tried to speak to my DH this evening about it, and he said it was just his mums sense of humour- no ones to say anything bad about her grandaughter. She tears into me if I call her big or chubby or anything. He asked if it hurt and I suppose it wasn't sore really, it didn't leave a mark, but it was def a slap, and I don't think that the point. What if that teaches my daughter it's ok to hit, even just in jest.
He agreed she shouldn't have hit me, but I don't know what to do bout it?
Also it annoyed me when she introduced my daughter as Jenny, her name is Jennifer, we call her jenny for short, but it's not her name and I always introduce her as Jennifer to strangers. And people were asking ME her name, not her!

Bloody family weddings eh? ESP when it's not your family!

DEAR OH I HATE YOU. Not always. But it's happening more and more. I feel lied to about who you were and what you were going to do for me/us as a family. I do not know if I am mentally prepared to live a life of poverty, have the only income and do the majority of the housework for the rest of my life.
