To FIL - I know you are besotted with her, and it's lovely, really it is, but stop bloody mithering her! She doesn't like her feet being touched so leave her be!

I found the numbers for the women's shelter and the family crisis phone line and saved them to my phone just in case but I called my mum's friend and she warned me that if I go to the shelter they automatically involve social services and I'm scared they'll think I can't handle things and take Maria away. But my mum's friend said I can stay with her if I need to so thats ok.

I just packed a bag for Maria, my suitcase is in the basement though and he might hear me going out the door and think I'm sneaking away and freak out. Reluctant to get the police involved as I think he would do something drastic to himself if that happened, and I don't hate him (even if he hates me ) so I don't want him to harm himself. He's taken some valium so he should be calm when he wakes up.

Natsku I hope you have gone. As others have said SS will not take your child away they will do everything they can to help you help her. It is in nobodys intrests for them to take her. Hope your ok keep us all up-dated

wow 15 years! he had a good long run! i think my longest fish has lasted about a year, which is really quite sad!
sorry about bubbles! maybe he will befriend the recently deceased juice and the other deceased juices that were fishy no1 before him lol! xxx

ETA:bubbles is a fab name for a fishy! DD named our juice and apple... had nothing to do with the carton of apple juice she was drinking at the time lol!

That's really good that you have her on standby like that, I do something similar with my mom and even though things have calmed down now here it's still nice knowing if an argument does happen I can still have help. I hope you get out soon. If you don't want to have the police around while you pack you could at least invite someone over to be with you while you do it and they can have a phone ready to call police just in case.
I understand exactly how you feel about not wanting to upset him to the point that he hurts himself, I had the same fear, but just imagine him hurting your little girl and that should be just enough motivation to get away

No, she isn't spoilt i just don't want her to learn that no-one comes when she cries so she might as well just give up

Yes, she needs her dreamfeed and rice in the bottle wont "fix it"

If she wants a bottle after 3 or 4 or 5 hours she will get it. She doesn't tell time yet so i will not make her wait until exactly 4 hours to feed her

I'm the one with her all day and i don't mind cuddling her and playing with her all the time.

thank you for these points, i feel ALOT better for reading them, I am SICK of being told im 'making a rod for my own back' by loving my baby,
my daughter is 10 months and just getting over the usual 9/10 month seperation anxiety, which i was told at EVERY oppurtunity i had caused by cuddling her and by 'giving in' to her 'demands'

I understand your reluctance to get the police involved but with regards to social services, please remember that they are actually there to help not to 'catch out'. They get a bad rep when really they can do a lot of good so please try not to worry about this aspect.
