Weight Loss Club for a BFP!*Weight loss thread 51lbs!***13 BFP's

My first week back at slimming world tonight. Lost 11lbs before Christmas but think I've put it all back on :( oh well I had a fantastic Christmas and new year lol! I'm not back on track and focused and hoping for a 2lb loss a week. Although I've got a couple all inclusive conferences this month so we will have to see :S

Hoping for an early year bfp xx

3lb loss so far plus cold and ear infection so no exercise for me for a week, boo. well done ladies xx

Did I mention I am not weighing myself? The scale messes with my head too much so I am just going by my clothes. My jeans felt looser today so that is a plus. :)

I also want to loose weight, I have a BMI of 28, but I want to get back down to 24, I am pretty much the heaviest I have ever been, and it is due to a very long depression I had, but now that all is better, and been better for a while now, I think it's really time to loose the extra pounds, especially since I want to be in shape to get a baby :)

So I plan on eating healthier foods, majority of fruits and veggies and no more junk foods.
And also light exercise, I have never been good at exercise lol

Hey ladies,

I would love to join you all.

Im not sure what i weight but i think im around 210lbs but i dont own scales and the wii is all packed away for moving at the end of the month. I more than anything want to feel healthy again after meeting my now DF almost 5 years ago everything has gone down hill weight related!. I put on weight so so easily and i also shed it easily, i dont know if thats to do with my age being that im only 21...?. Before i met DF i was a size 10 and now im a 18/20 :( im around 5'9 too so i feel like a complete monster at the moment :(

According to the BMI checker thing my healthy weight should be between 129lbs and 163lbs. My long term goal would be to get to 150lbs and stay there.

Im a fast food lover, and i love coke! I also have a hugh thing for kiddies sweeties :S i know they are so terrible for me i just cant stop myself sometimes lol. Im also one of those people that wont eat all day untill about 6 / 7 o'clock at night and then i stuff and stuff my self then go to bed :/ i need to get into the habit of eating small regular meals but thats a stuggle for me.

Also is anyone having trouble with the other halfs not being supportive?? My DF has put on alot of weight and is now around 270lbs himself (Hes 6ft4 & very muscular build) but he only used to weight around 200lbs. He just wants convenients and doesnt want to clean up after having a meal :( Tips in traning your man?

And if anyone has any healthy meal ideas / recipies please please please post them i beg you lol i get stuck for what to have for dinner all the time!.

Woah sorry for the extra long post, ive been keeping all that bottled up for a while and it was nice to let it go lol x

Hi ladies :hi: I started the South Beach diet with the start of the new year. My only motivation for weight loss is for a baby. I'm 5'3 1/2" and 172 pounds with a 30 bmi. I have gained 20 pounds since clomid and a total of 40 pounds since ttc. This weigh thas to come off! I have lost 3 pounds so far and i'm determined to do this for a LO...its the only thing i haven't been able to do that is within my control! Good luck ladies!

xMissxZoiex,

Yes, your eating is key here. If you go all day without eating your metabolism slows down so much that when you do eat, your body thinks you are starving and stores it as fat. Try and eat more in the morning and less at night. You should have at least a meal or a small snack every 3 hours. This will keep your metabolism efficiently burning calories all day long!

As for exercise, try running up and down the stairs or put on a good dance CD and dance away the calories. Also, sporting good stores sell cheap weights and resistance bands that don't take up much room. The more muscle you have on your body, the more calories you burn while doing nothing.

Junk food is tasty but a diet killer. :) I don't have any recipes but suggest eating healthier foods such a lean meats, nuts, fruits and vegetables. I would also recommend taking a multi-vitamin. Oh and one more thing... Fiber intake is key as well. Try and eat between 25 and 35 grams of fiber a day. Not only is it VERY filling but it helps to flush out fat, which in turn helps to lower cholesterol levels.

Once you start changing your lifestyle and start feeling better about yourself, it will all fall into place. All the best to you. :)

Thanks Leikela,

I never new fiber helped flush out fat!, thanks for the tip i will try make sure im getting a some in every day!. Maybe get some fibre bars?

Im very proud of myself today i had breakfast (Cereal) for the first time in about 5 years lol! I had lunch too (Tomato Pasta) and dinner (Chicken breast & oven chips) i know chips arnt good but they were the weight watchers ones lol.

MissZ,

Yes, fiber does wonders!! It actually has no nutritional value AT ALL, but it binds to the fats we eat and helps carry it out into the colon. You know how Cheerios advertises that eating their cereal will reduce cholesterol? The secret ingredient is oats which contains fiber. However, you would need to eat many many bowls. LOL You are better off with Fiber One cereal and I prefer the Kellogg's Fiber Plus bars over the Fiber One bars. They are delicious!

And congrats for eating breakfast and lunch! Sounds yummy! You might find also that you have more energy! Best of luck to you! :)

Ill check out the Fiber One bars next time im in the supermarket!.

I do feel like i have more energy and i didnt feel really hungy all day, which has been nice! :D

Hello ladies!
I saw your thread and thought I could contribute. I packed some weight last year and someday I saw a number on the scale that I had never seen before so I kind of flipped and started changing my habits. I was eating about 2 big bags of cheese chips + a couple of bottles of wine a week! Ahhhh! :dohh:

Since October, I've lost 15 pounds. I suggest starting tracking your calories intake. If you google ''calorie tracker' you'll find tons of website that can help you. I use https://www.livestrong.com/myplate/ and I love it!

You have to eat to lose fat! Yes, you read it! As someone else said, if you don't eat enough, your metabolism will slow down A LOT.

To loose weight you have to:

1- take in less calories than you burn
2- eat diverse food to get all your macro-nutrients (protein, fat, carbs, fibers)
3- watch out your sodium intake! You'd be VERY surprised at how much sodium there is in the food you consume. Sodium causes water retention. Water weighs a lot! That's why you'll see a person who eats fast food everyday go on a diet and loose 10 pounds the first week. It's NOT 10 pounds of fat but rather 10 pounds of water retained by all that sodium in the junk food.
4- aim for a goal to loose 10% of your body weight per week, not more. So if you are 300 lbs, you can aim for 3lbs per week, but if you are 130 lbs, aim only for about 1 lbs per week. If you loose too fast, you'll be more likely to gain it back and also you probably lost tons of muscle instead of loosing fat.

I hope it helps!
Good luck to you all!

Hi ladies dh and i are hoping for a referal to a fertility specialist (hoping we get a Bfp on our own) but i need to get my BMI down to 30 at the moment it's 38.43. So i'm looking at 3.5 to 4 stones. I'm not a lover of diets! so my plan is to exercise and follow a veggie based diet and i'm looking for support? anyone else trying to lose weight? Whats your goal? and how you doing it?

Oh im soo with you! as you can see by my ticker i have sooo much weight to lose. Wouldnt think its that much to look at me though (no stretch of the imagination i am thin but i dont look as heavy as i am ive always carried it well thank god) I think im going to do slimming world again and do gym that i havent commted to properly before. Ive been on slimming world twcie and lost 1/2 stone in 2 weeks each time but then i get bored and stop. gotta keep going. Ive quit smoking so dieting should be easier shouldnt it . Wish you all the best. Are you thinking about maybe following a set diet / club or just do your own thing?

Hi hun. I'm doing my own thing! Slimming clubs never worked for me : (. I'm I want the weight to comeoff and stay off so i'm making perminant lifestyle changes. I'm following a veggie based diet with limiting processed foods so no bread, sweets choc etc or takeouts. I do yoga and will return to the gym for strenght and core work, swimming and running once this virus has cleared. I used to be a personal trainer i know all the tricks but don't have the motivation  and full of injuries as well. As a trainer I was tough and mean but not with myself! I used to do triathlon as well so might go back! I need to loose 6 tones in total or get down to 12st for fs refferal.

You can also get a lot of fiber by not peeling veggies! Most of the vitamins and minerals are just under the skin! fiber is also from peas, beans, apples etcanything that bulks when wet!

I agree with you Tigerlilly. I just want to add that if you do that, be sure to buy organic veggies and fruits because on regular ones, the pesticides are most concentrated in the skin.
