Hello ladies!
I saw your thread and thought I could contribute. I packed some weight last year and someday I saw a number on the scale that I had never seen before so I kind of flipped and started changing my habits. I was eating about 2 big bags of cheese chips + a couple of bottles of wine a week! Ahhhh!
Since October, I've lost 15 pounds. I suggest starting tracking your calories intake. If you google ''calorie tracker' you'll find tons of website that can help you. I use https://www.livestrong.com/myplate/ and I love it!
You have to eat to lose fat! Yes, you read it! As someone else said, if you don't eat enough, your metabolism will slow down A LOT.
To loose weight you have to:
1- take in less calories than you burn
2- eat diverse food to get all your macro-nutrients (protein, fat, carbs, fibers)
3- watch out your sodium intake! You'd be VERY surprised at how much sodium there is in the food you consume. Sodium causes water retention. Water weighs a lot! That's why you'll see a person who eats fast food everyday go on a diet and loose 10 pounds the first week. It's NOT 10 pounds of fat but rather 10 pounds of water retained by all that sodium in the junk food.
4- aim for a goal to loose 10% of your body weight per week, not more. So if you are 300 lbs, you can aim for 3lbs per week, but if you are 130 lbs, aim only for about 1 lbs per week. If you loose too fast, you'll be more likely to gain it back and also you probably lost tons of muscle instead of loosing fat.
I hope it helps!
Good luck to you all!
