Welcome to the 'Two Week Wait'

Okay ladies this may be tmi but I have never had this observation before.

I just went upstairs to change and glanced at the mirror and had to do a double take. I am 4-5 dpo and my areolas are HUGE! Is that normal? I started to look closer because it was freaking my out. Then I noticed my veins showing through dramatically on my bbs. I have no idea what has caused this. Please help!!!

Could definitely be a sign of pregnancy! My breasts and areolas were HUGE when I first found out and my veins were practically bulging out. My breasts also felt SUPER HEAVY. Good luck to you! :flower:

Thanks! My nipples are extra sensitive too. Don't want to get my hopes up thought. The only other thing I'm having is small little cramps every now and then.

That was my first symptom with both pregnancies. My nipples were SO sensitive! To the point where I would put my bra on and it was like someone was trying to rip them off. It was horrible. They're still pretty sensitive. I never had that symptom with any of my BFN cycles. I still have little twinges of cramps too. Your uterus is typically about the size of your fist, but it needs to grow to accommodate a watermelon, so there's lots of growing to do!

To update you...today my nipples are sooooo itchy I can't stand it. I am constantly rubbing them!! I went to grab lunch for me and the DH and caught myself doing it in public!!!!:blush: I was so embarrassed! They aren't sore at all today...not sure if that's a good or bad sign :(

My bbt did jump really high today. My bbts before ovulation were low (like 68.5-68.8). After ovulation they have been 97.5 97.2, 97.7, 97.5 and then today 98.1. I'm guessing all of this is good (my first month charting bbt so I'm still learning).

I noticed my cm is very gluey and rubber like today...is that a bad sign? Thanks for all you responses too.

The pictures of your little bun in the oven :baby: are so adorable. It is amazing how you can see all the little details already.

My nipples have been VERY itchy too. I admit to rubbing them in public too, lol. I try to be subtle though. They're not really sore, just super sensitive and itchy.

I didn't have glue-y or rubbery CM with either of my pregnancies, but I know every woman is different. I've had a lot of yellow-ish CM lately.

my boobs are feeling full and uncomfortable, my nipples have a mind of their own:haha: as for cm ive been have gluey cm and its yellowish TMI sorry, this is the muscus plug forming a good sign Sarah x

I have a real feeling its gonna be your month Gemmy!! :flower:

I have my first midwife appointment on 15th march :D I will be 8 weeks pregnant, I'm still being sick lots but at least i know its normal and reminds me of how lucky i am to be expecting again..

Good luck to all you girls trying xxx

Thanks Laura! I hope your feeling is right, would love to be bump buddies :)

Wow 8 weeks on 15th March - how fast is that going? Enjoy, may that sickness pass quick :) xx

Well i hope its 3rd time lucky with the sickness but im not so sure :haha: i feel exactly the same when i carried my boys, ive also got that metallic taste in my mouth for a few days now too, i cant stand the smell of cooking meat, i think im having another lil man

Sarah - can't believe how fast time has flown by! So happy for the peach-baby & the pics were awesome. hey, whats a little dry skin when you have something that precious growing inside you!:winkwink:

Wendy - keeping FX for you that prog fills out all the necessary areas over the next month!:flower:

TBC - I know long cycles are the worst. I've been avg around CD19. Takes sooooo much longer, but it will be sweet when it happens!

Laura - 8 weeks, what happened to the time?! yay! :happydance:

Hey LilSluz & TBC - my cycles are really long too - OV around CD20-22 - you are right though, we stick with it and when it happens it will be all the more precious :hugs:

Actually TBC was supp'd to be you (TryingtoBeCalm) - my attempt at a botched abbrev! :haha: (maybe T2BC would have been better - I'll use that:flower:)

But yeah, talk about PATIENCE! 5-week cycles - only when I started TTC, of course. It just sux that we get less chances... But theres worse stuff out there - thats ok, it'll happen for both of us  (perhaps we just need extra cooking time :winkwink:) :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Sarah: Sorry about the itchy dry skin. That can be super annoying. Glad to see your pregnancy is coming along good! I'm still playing the waiting game. Pretty much feel normal. My husband lost his grandfather over the weekend so we are going to be traveling from Myrtle Beach, SC to Ohio on Wednesday night to attend service. I was a little dizzy last night, but I really think I was just so tired from everything that has been going on this week. My temps are continuing to get so high. The other day it jumped .6 all the way up to 98.1 (This is high for me!) Today is was 98.3. I'm very happy to know that my body is capable of ovulating. Even if I don't get preggers...as least I have that good news to take with me. :) Enjoy your day. I'll try to check in tomorrow before we go outta town for any updates you ladies might have! Good luck to everyone :hugs:

Good luck srrhc! I am a couple of days behind you. Sorry to hear about your dh's grandfather x

Don't know anything about charting Gemmy, tell me whats happening, im getting excited for you :D x

6 MORE DAYS TILL TESTING & Im getting antsy!!! Feeling a few sharp pains in my lower abdomen.. Not sure if AF is causing it or a precious little seed!!!

The chart is looking good Gemmy! I'm glad your temp went back up again today. :) I can't wait to see what the next few days look like.

AFM- I can't wait for AF to leave the building. So close to being back to TTC and the TWW! :)

Hi Ladies!!

Gemmy - I don't know much about charting either - I stopped temping years and years ago.... But sounds really good !! Fingers crossed!!

Sarah - thanks for sharing the photos - how precious!!!

Wendy - I haven't heard about using the progesterone cream all month... Who recommended that for you? Hope it works for you and evens things out! I only use it twice /day -morning and night after ovulation until I get AF.... xoxo

Kerri - how are you doing?

LilS - you hang in there girl! I know what it's like to get so many tests done - it's horrible and you don't even feel human anymore.... Glad you are keeping positive about it and love love love your sense of humour!

Laura - glad to hear you'll be 8 weeks soon!! wow!!! xo

Big hello to Ella, Posey, Keri, and anyone else I missed (sorry!)...

AFM - I think I ovulated yesterday as my OPK strips were positive morning and night on Sunday - then yesterday around Noon I got some cramping in my left ovary side..... (it lasted about 2 hrs)... longer than usual... Does anyone know if you ovulate when the cramping is there? I have heard that is not necessarily the case... but thought I'd ask. If I did ov. yesterday than that would be Day 12 - not the best for follicular stage .... My ND said the longer the follicular stage the better (egg has more time to grow) but we'll see what happens. So for those girls that have to wait longer to ovulate - at least that's a good thing! xo

Thanks laura - well nothing that great but I'm dipping both months around 4/5 days past OV and it is rising back up. This month is mirroring last month so it could mean that I just end up with af but the good thing is it shows that I did ovulate when it said I did - I had worried yesterday that I ovulated earlier and that af was coming. But now I know that dip is normal and I am only 6dpo so I am till hopeful but will see!!

Glad you are doing well - can't wait to find out if you are having another boy or a girl!! xx

thanks hun - that is great info about the egg having more time to grow - I didn't ov until 4 days later than usual this month so that is great to know :)

Sounds like you did ovulate but I don't really know about the cramping - I don't normally feel much but keep BDing! GL x

Hi Maria!

I get ov-pains every month. I get them the day before I ov and then the day of ovulation. I don't know if I'm ovulating right when the cramps happen on ov day, but it's been pretty consistent the last few months, so I know that ov is coming when I first feel them (and I jump DH) and then after the second bout, I assume ov has happened (and I jump DH again for good measure). I think if you felt them the day after your pos opk, you can assume that was around when you ov'd.

I really hope this is your month and then you won't need to worry about how long your follicular phase is...

But I thought I'd just throw out there that having a little bit of cinnamon everyday has lengthened my pre-ov phase. My ovulation day has moved from CD12-13 to CD15-16 since I've started taking it. Plus it's given me lots of EWCM...

Yeah, that was the cycle I was on the progesterone, so it really elevated my temps. It was impossible to tell what was going on that month....

Oh I see, I am still learning so much on here :)

Must sign off now, getting slightly obsessed. Bed I think xx

Do any of you ladies get mild cramps about a week after ovulation. Im not do for AF for another week or so & today I started getting mild cramps.. just enough to make me notice them I am very regular when it comes to my menses which is why I don't know if I should be worried..??????

Ha ha :haha::haha:

Thanks LilSluz. My fault for choosing a long username!!!!
When I came off the pill June last year I stayed at the 28 days roughly. Then after the miscarriage it has been less consistant an much longer. At least OPKs last month let me know I DO ovulate just late.

I am focusing on being healthy and I have my birthday later this month an a 10k race at the end of the month.

Have you got much going on this month?
