WTT for #1 thread

Hey all, I'm Tommie (yes, I'm a girl...hehe). I'm new to the forum. My husband and live in the country. We both work full time but also have a cattle ranch. We have been married for a year this past June and been together a total of 8 years (or has it been 9?). He wanted to wait 2 years to start a family, I wanted to wait 1 year so we're going with a happy medium and decided NTNP the end of Oct-beginning of Nov. I'm so stink'n excited and nervous at the same time! My big question is...what do I need to do between now and then to get prepared? About 2 1/2 months ago I started eating right and lost some extra weight I've been wanting to shed. I'm searching for an OBGYN to get all checked out. Anything else? Do I need to start taking an OTC prenatal vitamin now? Or will my Doc suggest/prescribe one? Any advice is welcomed!

So glad to be here surrounding by others experiencing the same thoughts and emotions. Eek!

Hi!

My husband and I are close to TTC, I am having my implanon taken out in two weeks then we can start trying! We've been married a year and together for three, OH really wants a little girl whilst I want a boy, but of course we are just hoping for a healthy little baby!

hey all ,

Hi BeeLT:hugs:

I am new to BnB and itseems i will enjoy here with all the fun, support and advice over here. I'm Nikki, 27 years old, married since 2 years and very happy with my man. We stay in PA (USA) and recently came back to our home country India. We are in WTT phase, i'm very excited for a baby but my husband want to postpone it for some more months since he is having UC and currently in remission. I want to know what do you mean by leaky gut is it same as UC? I want some suggestions and your help would be appreciated :flower: Hope to hear from you

Waiting till May 2014, feels like forever. Feel like I have been waiting forever, but only really been properly waiting for just over a year. Looking forward to the TTC process and literally feel like I cannot wait.

Hmm.. So I'll really try my best not to make this so long like I usually do, ha!

I'll be 27 next April.. OH will be 29. We've been together for about 2.5 years now and are in the early stages of planning our wedding in October of 2014 :) OH and I own and run an Auto Repair shop in Vermont and are working to begin flipping houses in the next year through (hopefully) our own realty business :) On the sidelines, I am a freelance writer and OH does some construction contracting.. We are fairly goal oriented career wise which is the only reason currently for being in the WTT phase (other than waiting until after our wedding day) :-/

We are almost done with building our dream home and are excited for the day that we can begin decorating some baby rooms! We are both MAJOR planner people and tend to draw up plans for just about everything (I know, we're a little crazy) and we have fun doing it.. For now, we are doing our best to actively prevent a pregnancy :( ... But we have semi-agreed that NTNP will be more our thing from our wedding day forward... Otherwise, TTC is officially in the plans for August of 2016.. Could be a long wait for us.. But we'll see.. For now, it's work work work! :coffee: (and a little bit of baby dreaming here and there, of course :baby: )

Hey ladies

I'm Melody. Wtt for my first child! I'm single, and will be ttc by AI with a donor. Don't suppose there's any other single mums 2 be around? lol

I'm 28, live in Berkshire and work for Google. I have a huuuuge extended family with lots of bundles of joy, just cant wait for my own now. I have wanted children for a few years and now that im ready, I cant wait for all the experiences that come with it :happydance:

I will be ttc at the very beggining of November if my charting is correct. My cycles are sooooo long, lasting about 40 days so I feel like ive been waiting forever.

Anyway look forward to getting to know you all!

Hey girls.

I'm Mari, 23 yo, living in Estonia, Europe. I study midwifery and I have already had my first babies. Oh, how I love this job.
Anyway, school takes a lot of my time but even more takes National Defence League. Yeah, I just love all this military stuff.

Me and OH have been together for almost 3 years. He is in National Defence League too, so we both run around the forests and play war :winkwink: He is really good with kids. He doesn't like them while crying (what a surprise :haha:) but when they're happy, he likes them.

We're not going to TTC for any time soon. Probably it'll take around 5 years to get to that point. I want to finish school at first and work a bit, OH too. Also we want to get married before and have our own home. So yeah, I'll be staying here for a long time. But, tbh, after seeing those births at hospital, I'm not waiting to give birth any time soon either.

It's kind of sad day today because my OH went to another city for job training and we don't know yet if he'll be staying there for 2 weeks or 2 months :nope:

Hi everyone :flower:
My name is Ashley and I am 24 nearly 25 and wtt with #1!! So excited!!!
Everything about me rite now seems to b baby! I can't get it out my head, so the reason I am WTT is the OH was made redundant so hopefully he will get a job soon and we have just bought our first house and it needs some work so would just like to know everything was done first,

So, I have been with OH for 10 years, and finally feel In a position that we should try for our first and the unfortunately he lost his job, so WTT till he gets a job! We live In scotland in the uk feels likes there is no jobs out there at all! I work in a kennels and cattery so not sure how I would cope when pregnant but just need to wait and see!

Well ladies look foward to sharing our journey

Hi :)

I'm 22, OH is 23. We are WTT right now and haven't actually set a date. We move into a new place next week and it needs A LOT of work, so that is my number one priority right now.

All of my closest friends are pregnant or have 1-2 kids right now. It's quite hard sometimes because I do feel a bit out of the loop. I love this site because you don't have to be pregnant or even TTC to fit in and talk to other people.

I am going to bring up TTC in the new year and see where we are with it. I know there are a few things to consider before then. I need to lose a little bit of weight and I have some personal things going on right now to deal with.

ETA: We have been together 5 1/2 years and are recently engaged. Don't know why I forgot to put that in. Sorry OH lol!

Hi Ladies! Happy to have joined this lovely group!!

Hubby and I are both 24. We've been married for 3 years and together for 6. WTT because hubby wanted to wait until we were married for 5 years first. Time is going by so slowly. It is honestly all I think about.. It consumes me all day long! I'm off BC this month for a few reasons and am hoping I get a BFP this month (not using any other type of BC).. I plan to go back on BC next month. We will see what happens but not getting my hopes up. I've been on Ortho777 for 8 years and already had my withdrawl bleed.

We live in Canada.. we've known each other since we were 2. Happily married and in love!

Thanks for welcoming me to the group! Can't wait to get to know you all!

Hi girls
My name is Sam, I'm 24 (25 in 4 weeks).
I've been with my OH since we were 16/17 so that's nearly 8 years now.
We get married in 7 weeks time on the 5th of December 2013, hoping for a bit of snow as I've always loved the idea of a winter snowy wedding :wedding:

Anyway I currently have the implant. It's coming up the end of my 3 years, 12th November it's due to be changed/taken out. However this is 3 weeks before our big day so I'm keeping it in and having a back up pill for 5 weeks. I really didn't want to risk having a messed up first period in my big white dress :winkwink:

So the plan is to have the implant out early January, stop taking the back up pill at the same time. I want to have a couple of normal cycles before we start TTC, so we're thinking May or June 2014 will be our time to start!
Thanks ladies, sorry for the essay lol
X

hi :) I'm new to the forum!

I am a 21 years old and my husband is 26 yo. We have been married for about one year (anniversary is in less than 2 weeks! :happydance: ) , have a dog, and have been living together for three years. Right now we live in a one bedroom (new) apartment with hardwood floors :wohoo: but we are WTT because I want a house with a nursery to decorate for the future chub :baby: My husband has a good income and career, but I'm working retail ATM with my associates degree in criminal justice . Not sure if I am going to further my education because many jobs within my major only require the associates degree BUT the jobs are active/dangerous. I rather have a baby now and start career later (since I am still young). Everyone keeps telling me I am too young and to wait :dohh:

Hi all,
New here, Im 28 and my hubby to be is 36 we are getting married on April 12 2014 so thats only 5 months away and we will start TTC then. I work in the baby industry so its so hard taking babies and baby stuff all day long and not having one. Also we have all the pregnancy and baby magazines arrive at the office which I then just have to read. All in all its hard to wait but i really want to be married first. And since I already have my wedding dress there can be no changes in size not even an inch!
Nice to meet you all and I wish you all well in your waiting :)

Yah! I found a Canadian buddy! I'm 23 DH is 25. We are waiting until April to try for #1. I'm super excited! Good luck everyone!

Hey, my name is Kim. My husband Adam and I are WTT for our first child. As we both want to adopt, we are hoping it is God's will that our first child will be our only "birth" child.

Let's see... about me. Well, I am 26 years old. I am working on my Masters in General Psychology from Grand Canyon University, which is scheduled to finish this April. I work with kids with autism. While I absolutely love the job, the pay is horrible and there are no benefits. As in, no health insurance, no sick pay, no vacation, etc. Adam is working as a substitute teacher... with horrible pay and no benefits as well. So that is a big reason why we are WTT for now.

We live in the Phoenix area. I grew up here and hate it. Adam moved here a few years ago and hates it more than me. We are both extremely fair skinned and get sick from the sun, so Phoenix really isn't a great place for us. My friend jokes that we will have a vampire baby that will burst into flames if she/he goes in direct sunlight. We are planning to move to Wisconsin this summer once we both get jobs.

Adam and I met online in November of 2011 and got married in December of 2012. We like movies (we are on a Bollywood kick right now), taking walks, playing sports, going to restaurants, and travelling. We have two pets right now that serve as our children. Our parents say that they are grandparents to them :p. One is a 1 1/2 year old dog named Neville. As far as we know, he is a mix of Dachshund, Chihuahua, and German Shephard, though we really aren't sure, as he is a rescue from a hoarder. The other pet is a 9 month old cat named DC. Adam hates cats but let me get her, so he named her "Darn Cat" after a movie.

I think that's about it.... :p

Hi all!! I'm 28. I have one beautiful baby boy who just turned a year in December. It took us a loooooong time and a little clomid to conceive him, so afterwards we just went the ntnp route and I was also brf. We found out in July that we were expecting again. I was shocked but thrilled, and even more shocked to find out it was twins!!! That would have been one 15 month old and two newborns! I was scared but excited!!

Unfortunately, we found out in September that our sweet babies had stopped growing and neither had heartbeats, so I had a dnc. Going against advice we immediately began txt again, and to my surprise I became pregnant before af even showed! It ended sadly for me too, in a chemical pregnancy.

I'm devastated by my two losses, and couldn't handle a third. Even though I wanted so bad to be expecting by the time my twins were due, we are now waiting as directed. April can't get here soon enough!!!!

Hi my name is Tara and I'm 29. I'm not sure when I'll be ttcing since I still live at home with my mom. Also I want to go back to school for Early Childhood Education next September so hopefully it'll be after that. Maybe it'll be before if it's meant to be.

Hi! I'm in Canada too :) I'm 27 and married for just over 6 months. I'm American and in the process of immigrating to Canada so still waiting for health insurance, work permit, etc etc. That's why we're waiting to try... Baby fever is in full force here and the wait is killer!!! Hopefully we will be all set by the summer!

HI

My name is Melissa and my husband and I are WTT. We want to have one last grand vacation to Europe before we start adding to our family. That means starting to try in September this year.

I am excited, but also anxious as my mother had some issues getting pregnant and I am not sure how easy it will be.
