WTT for #1 thread

Hello ladies!

My name is Sasha (18), and I've been with my OH (Mitchell, 19) for 3 years. We plan on TTC in March 2014. My OH is more 'ready' than I am, he has a good job, car, he's older, finished of schooling, etc. but we need to find an apartment to raise our little bean in and I'd like to be 'ready' so that if worst came to worst I could support myself and my child and not have to rely on him. I'd like to finish some schooling. I would love to find a new job before we start TTC as well since I'd like to be making more money and the environment is quite stressful. We were both born and raised in the town we still live in, a small town where everybody thinks alike. :haha:

I'd like to fit in an engagement or wedding before we get pregnant, but it's not something that would deter me from TTC.

Looking forward to getting to know you lot!

Hello!

I'm a 27 year old, been married for almost a year, and looking to TTC in March 2014! I'm a vegan runner, fitness fanatic, hippie and want to do all the hippie crunchy mama stuff that comes with that. (water birth, attachment parenting, organic homemade baby food, the whole deal) I work in a specialty healthy bakery, but plan on leaving to be a stay at home mom. Husband and I have 2 dogs and 5 cats in our first home that we just bought.

I'm hoping to save up some money for baby (and the birthing center that my insurance won't cover :/) and meet my goals for running my first marathons before we to to conceive. I actively didn't want kids for most of my life, and even though he said he was okay with that, I think my husband always wanted them. Lucky for him, this massive biological urge and a total change in perspective has hit me at the age of 27, and the rest is history!

Hello Hello :flower:

I must admit I have been lurking for a few months  and finally worked up enough courage to introduce myself!

My name is Amber and I am 28 years old, married for just over 3 years. The hubs and I live in Alberta :cold: with our wee yorkie, Oliver. I work in a clinical lab and my lovely husband is a firefighter :winkwink:. We are both avid snowboarders and adore traveling, music, cooking and wine.

Neither of us have given much serious thought to having children until the past few months. Up until now, we have been very career minded and had also wanted to do some traveling before really settling down. Well, we now have our dream jobs, have been on a few adventures and are realizing that we are now closer to 30 than 25!

We are hoping to try towards the end of this summer, mostly because we have a family holiday planned in Feb 2014 (That I would be ok being somewhat pregnant for!) and also because I have been experiencing some frustrating irregularity since going off the pill in Dec '12. (Really hoping this sorts itself out soon!).

From what I have gathered from all my sneaky lurking, this seems like a wonderful supportive community that I am really looking forward to being a part of!

Eough about me. Here's to getting to know you! :friends:

Hello everyone!

I'm 25, have been with my OH for around 6 years. We were TTC in 2011 but I had a miscarriage and a MMC. I struggled and then became very unwell last year with anxiety, I ended up taking an overdose unfortunately. We were hoping we'd be able to start TTC a while ago but I knew I needed to wait till I was mentally well again and off medication. Medication has worked extremely well for me which I'm so so pleased about. My doctor is predicting that I can come off them in about four months all going well and assuming I feel well when I come off them. So at the moment I'm hoping we can start TTC around September time or at least at the end of the year.

I'm currently charting my temps and using OPK's to make some sense of my cycles which have been a bit crazy for the last 3 months. Fingers crossed I'll be all clued up again by the time we start again.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Yep, I will! I'm not too sure how interesting I am though

I've started one (well, put a bit of an intro, info about me and OH and our situation). I think I'm pretty boring though haha.

Hi Ladies!

My name is Kimberley and I have been stalking these boards for the last week . I wasn't sure where to start when it came to getting involved with forums on WTT and TTC as there are so many out there!

I'm 30 years old and DH is 29. We were married on July 21st, 2012 and I have to say married life has been amazing! We live in Newfoundland, Canada. I am a substitute Physical Education Teacher and DH is a Civil Engineering Technologist.

We made the decision to prepare to TTC for #1 in November 2012, one day before my geneticist appointment! I have a rare genetic disorder called Loeys-Dietz Syndrome (LDS). I also posted about this in the WTT introduction forum. This disorder can cause aneurysms and we have to make sure that I still do not have any before we become pregnant. I made a promise to DH that we would not become pregnant without medical approval. To this date I have not presented with any health complications as a result of having tested positive for LDS.

So at my appointment I told my geneticist our plan to TTC in June 2013 during our long awaited honeymoon. She immediately starting making a list of test I should have to make sure that LDS has still not had any negative effects on my body that would cause serious health risks during pregnancy for me and for baby. So far I have had 2 CT Scans and I am scheduled to have an echocardiogram to check the condition of my heart in May. After that I see my geneticist again to hopefully get the all clear to TTC the end of June/early July!

I am currently charting my temps and awaiting the arrival of the OPK's that I ordered online! I am currently have a fear that I am not O'ing as my temps this cycle have not risen at all and I am at CD 26, hoping that OPK's will help me figure this out!!

Hey!

I'm Farrell (23) and my husband is Jacob (21) we got married 6/9/12. We've been together for 6 years this May. I have Baby fever really bad. Hubby is on board for babies but wants to wait. So we are waiting. Time-frame undefined. He's waiting for a feeling and I'm just being patient (at least to him I'm being patient, to me I'm going crazy with the waiting and vague time frame). It's really good to hear that I'm not the only one that wants to be ready but can hardly wait at the same time.

Good Luck and Hope you waits are short!

Oh you sound so much like me Farrell. Hi everyone I'm Mandy and I've been lurking around for about a month and decided this morning it's about time I said something. My fiancee Josh and I are waiting until after we're married (only 29 days left to go for that!) to talk to a doctor about correcting my infertility and then we're joking to begin trying sometime between September 2013 and January 2014.

The problem I've got is that I had the Essure procedure done during my first marriage in order to prevent getting pregnant by my first husband (it's a long story and a lot easier to say that he was just a really nasty and bad guy).

So I've located a surgery center all the way on the other side of the USA from us that is able to perform the reversal, and we're saving up to go have it done. Except now last month we had evidence that one of the coils may have fallen out by itself so now I'm trying to find a doctor willing to do an hsg test to see if I even still need surgery. I've had two doctors so far tell me there's no way and then slide their pamphlets for ivf under my nose  I'm not trying to diss ivf but it seems to me like a lot of doctors try to convince women that that s the only way they can conceive when using other far less expensive methods it could happen naturally!

Oops sorry (getting off soap box).

So it's nice to meet all of you :)

Ugh please forgive any strange typos you may see from me. I'm browsing and posting on these forums from my phone and auto correct loves to make a fool out of me, and I'm not seeing any way that I can edit my own posts.

Hi ladies,

25 here with a 37-year-old partner, WTT until we have our own house. We finally have the deposit but due to work issues it will be at least another year until we TTC. We've been together for coming up to 4 years and my partner is on board with starting a family but understandably concerned about finances and having a home first. I can't wait and periodically go crazy, finding myself wandering around Mothercare.

I work in childcare which of course isn't helping matters in the slightest!

I'm hoping to make some friends who'll be TTC 2014/15 to share the journey with!

Hi all! Currently been with my fiance (Nick) for almost 10 years (getting married on our anniversary 9/7/13) :happydance:. We are not on any specific BC but if we get pregnant then we would welcome it. We have had our own business for 8 years and have a ton of pets (dogs, cats, horses). WTT until HE's ready.... he knows he wants kids, but not sure when he'll feel ready. Anywho, that's a little brief, but thanks for listening!

Hello everyone :)

I just joined today but i'm familiar with the forum. OH and I just set a date for TTC!

We are WTT after some discussion over wanting children. We've been together 5 years now and it's time to make the next step! OH just started a new job which has been a bit of a promotion for him, and I want some time to decorate our home and get everything ready.

Hi I'm Jen. I have been married for almost a year and my hubby and I have decided to start trying this year. Our financial/job situation is finally at a stable point that I feel comfortable starting a family. This is something both of us have wanted for quite a while. Looking forward to getting to know some of you in the coming months!
