15 dpo and still BFN...

Hi ladies,

Returning to B&B after 2 years since my DD arrived as we are now trying for #2! Have been following other peoples journeys on here for a few weeks now but this is my first post...
Quick background on this time round of TTC.... I haven't had regular periods since DD who is now 22 months, I briefly started the pill again for a holiday as I didnt want to have the hassle of a period whilst away for 3 weeks and not knowing when it may show.
I am fairly sure I ovulated on Monday 23rd July, and right from 2dpo I have been having the EXACT same pg symptoms as my first pg, I mean seriously I am like the textbook pregnant lady, however so far im now at 15 dpo and still getting bfn's.
I took an Asda test this morning and it was bfn, I looked at it again 45 mins later and there was the faintest of faintest lines, literally, it could well have been my imagination.
But I just have this feeling, like the first time, that I am, and coupled with the symptoms Ive been having (Long list below, see what I mean about textbook), I just cant understand why im not getting a BFP. Ive even tried a FRER yesterday and still BFN Any ladies out there had similar and finally got their BFP? Or at 15 dpo should I be having BFP by now if I'm pg?

Crazy Dreams
Diarrhoea
Twinges/Pulling/Cramping
Sharp pains occasionally
Bleeding gums
Stuffy nose
Major sore throat
Lots of CM
Dizzy spells
Nausea
Lower backache
Tiredness
The cat (who HATES me) slept on my pillow for 4 nights running till I booted her off
I can smell everything and its mostly rank

Appreciate any advice and lots of baby dust to everyone

Wow except for the fact your second time around, i sound almost the same as you. same symptoms and got a BFN 12DPO. im 13DPO today and want to take a test but i have none at the moment. im itching to get one! its driving me mad as the last two weeks have been completely about this time and its so soul destroying to keep seeing BFN!

I know it's so frustrating!! The days past Ov are clocking up and still BFNs and I'm beginning to think Im out this month, but the symptoms are just making me hang in there!
DH wont believe me which is even more annoying, he wont believe anything till he see the words "pregnant" on a digi!
We went into Boots the other day and I said I could smell Germolene across the other side of the shop (its a huge boots) and he said "of course you can, we're in Boots!
I've got my FX'd for you and let's keep hanging in there and wishing these next few days away..!

Omg i havent had the heightened sense of smell but i've been feeling rather sick occasionally, i had lower abdomen cramps, excessive amounts of white discharge, Extremely painful nipples (that was beyond unbearable and never had it before in my life), i've been getting diarrohea too which im usually the opposite with toilet issues haha, i have also had the cold symptoms, dizziness and lower back pain. so im sure im not imagining it. some of it is very clearly not imagined too. my fella also wont believe me till he sees it in front of his face. its gonna annoy me now if AF arrives...! x

Wowzers we really do sound like we are in the exact same boat! Please keep me posted on how things go, I love (sad I know) symptom spotting haha! Am tempted to go get some more tests but i really dont want to waste the money but this wait is killing me! x

Same i was going to buy another yesterday but resisited temptation cause i thought well... is one day gonna make much of a difference. im thinkin i'll test tomorrow and maybe thursday depending on if AF gets me! i hope not tho!

Hubby has been moaning about wasting money on tests so I've just emptied out the spare change jar and scraped together £3.99 (that'll get me a 2 pack of boots own tests haha), am gonna head out this afternoon and get them. I'll have to go to the self service checkout and slyly feed in my change lol. Ill try and wait till tomorrow morning to do one but I know I wont. Also let me know when you test again! Are you weeing more too?

yes slightly more. not like all the time but more than normal but i've been quite thirsty too. so that may be why. are you? Yes im going to do a digital test tomorrow. not nessecarily morning tho. will just do it any time. i've seen people on these things get a BFP in the afternoon after constant testing day after day BFN's. so i'll post back t you tomorrow afternoon. let me know when you do yours. my other half has been supportive in test buying but we take it in turns to buy haha. xxxx Good luck

Yup I've been weeing loads more than normal and I forgot to mention (and I know you're not supposed to do thi lol) that I have been using opk sticks for the last 5 days and the line is getting darker each time, and each time its much darker than the control line!
I just bundled my toddler into the car and we nipped out and got the tests, couldn't resist the urge and did one and guess what...BFN!!! Aarrrggg!!!!
Any ladies out there had similar to us who have now got BFP?
Last time round I got BFP at 10dpo and confirmed with a Digital on 13 dpo so this is really stumping me...

Okay so last night i popped out and got a couple of the digital ones. as i get sick of looking for the line to change on the others and imagining one there. So i took it immediately. Really couldnt resist. and guess what...... BFN Againnn! Grrrr sooo annoyed! im 14dpo now! Its getting stupidddd! i still have no show AF tho soo im not completely out yet. Gonna wait till saturday now i think. Cant bare to keep seeing a BFN! xx Sorry about your BFN tho. Keep tryin x

Ohhh I was just thinking about you, sorry to hear you got BFN again! I too couldnt resist POAS once again and I sent hubby out to get a First Response last night, I tested about 20 mins ago and guess what...BFN too!!!

No sign either of AF but then Im not sure when that would be as I took the pill briefly for our holiday.
I'm finding it more frustrating to see BFN on the FR tests as they are supposed to be extra sensitive right?? And I'm defo 16 dpo so I am really starting to think this is all in my head!

Bad news on my part im afraid! AF arrived this morning but very very light. its clearly it cause i had pink discharge two days ago turned more browner yesterday, and today its little drops of dark brown. Which is undoubtedly gonna be red by the end of today.

One thing thats unusual is i didnt get any cramping which i get when im on the pill which i was on a month n half ago. and usually without the pill im crouched over in agony by now screaming and crying the place down. Thats why i went on the pill to begin with. No sign of that and wondering wtf all my weird symptoms were this month... nipples hurtin like crazy an all that!

Sorry to hear bout your BFN but its not over for you yet till AF arrives. Keep me posted. Im gonna try agen next month but im sure of my cycle now. shud be 31 days long so i know exactly when im ovulating. xx

Update... i havent had any more bleeding since this morning. As i said it was only brown not quite red but i havent seen any more! I'm in the UK btw so its like 3pm here now. i had the discharge/blood around 10am. i dunno what to think of this tbh! i dnt wanna go getting my hopes up tho to thinkin its implantation spotting... xx

Hiya sorry for late reply am at my parents house today and not much signal! im in the UK too (chelmsford) . Oh wow I dont want to get your hopes up but I do think it could be implamtation spotting for you then instead of af! I had something similar with my first. Let me know how things progress!
I have given in and have got a doctors appt tomorrow morning, am gonna ask for a blood test as im so convinced I am! Apparently i might have to go to the hospital to get it done so that could be tuesday aarrgghh!

I have thought about it but this morning i went to the loo and it came out in the toilet again. a tad darker this time. Still havent had any more since this morning so im still very unsure! because i came off the contraceptive pill it could be my periods being a tad unpredictable... so i'm trying not to pin my hopes on it. im not going to test again unless.... A) Monday comes and this has still not transformed in to a period or B) cause it'll be rather obvious if it does become my usual menstrual period.

Ok so the doctor was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. He said its not procedure to send someone for a blood test to check for pregnancy and to give it another week and if I still am getting BFN's then I am not preggers! I said I have read several womens accounts of not getting a BFP at all yet still they are pg, but he wouldn't have it.
So that was an hour of my morning wasted (he was late) grrrr.
I am beginning to think I may not be and that my body really is playing tricks on me, so I'm gonna just wait it out for the next few days and see what happens and not waste any more money on tests lol. Maybe AF will show up over the weekend. I kind of want it to now in a way if that makes sense, so I can be out of this limbo and start again.
So it's nearly 7pm now, have you had any more bleeding? It's annoying isn't it to have little bits here and there and not know.
How many dpo will you be on Monday?

Tbh i've lost friggin count of my dpo's now! lol. still not transformed in to AF tho. its about the same amount of discharge as the other day. so i duno what it is! i havent tested again yet as i wanna avoid the disappointment.

As if! i cant believe your doctor said that! i'd go see someone else and ask there! im gonna test either tomorrow or tuesday to see if anything changes yet. Does this sound normal to you though the fact its still not a period and still brown? xx

Ooh I think its all looking good for you, as far as Im aware the brown blood could be a sign of the embryo burrowing into the uterus wall, as its old blood if u see what i mean, i think u should test again ! At least one of us may get a bfp! Maybe get a 2pack then youve got one for a few days time, in case it just shows up later. No change here, crampy tummy but still no sign of AF. ill keep you posted lol. Let me know if u test again. God this is soooooooooo frustrating, a blood test would tell me in a flash!

Im hoping its no just my messed up periods tbh. dya know what annoys me most. all the girls i went to school with in my year got pregnant on the drop of a hat! how damn annoyin when I want it to it seems so damned complicated! xx

Good news is still no AF for either of us. its the 6th week this week coming since my last period. xx

Hi girls, am in uk too, Norwich. Am 14-15dpo, and still bfn, even though I have lots of pregnancy symptoms. Had a blood test Friday at doctors, hoping to know tomorrow! Let me know how you both get on! Baby girls !
