Stacey-I agree with NotNic I am so jealous about your squash and ready to be there. This means one more week and your on that 10 week finish! Wow I can't believe how fast this is moving now!!

I know, the speed this pregnancy is moving at is scary...but i hope it keeps up, cant wait to meet her. Ul all be squash's in a few days xx

Alcohol pads like rubbing alcohol....sorry and maybe you guys don't have them there. They sell them at the pharmacy or around the pharmacy and it just helps dry up the belly cord so it falls off and the belly button forms!

No Im fairly sure we dont have them or Im sure I would have heard about them. Ill ask around to see if there is something else. Im sure here we just wait until the cord just falls off by itself rather than being helped along.x

Doctors here tell us to use them so the cords dry out and get no infection in them. I really am not sure what else they would call them for you ladies. or you can use rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball!

I'd never heard of using them myself before, but it sounds like a top tip. TBH belly buttons creep me out. I'm trying not to think about the baby's cord dropping off. Urrgh. Everytime I think about it I remember the satc episode when Miranda's cat steals Brody's. Double yuck!!

Here is my 28 week bump. Still no stretch marks thankfully (although Ive heard they can appear after baby is here so under no illusion that I might still get them)

(The marks on the side of my tummy are sleep creases - Id only just woke up when I took it! )

p.s Just noticed the thread has been moved to pregnancy groups. Wonder if they will do that every time there is a new one? Maybe call them something different from now on or we all might not find it!! I never use the pregnancy groups forum.

Ive had a linea negra since week 10 or so and now it goes from my pubic bone right up to where my boobs start. I was previous only up to my belly button. Its not hairy though and isnt that dark thankfully.
I use subscription too but as you say that only works if you have posted on it so if it gets moved too quick we might miss it. Need a name that wont alert admin that its a group. Whens the next one due? I think Im a squash on Tuesday so must be a week Saturday or thereabouts.x

Nah. Some people just dont get it and some do and every pregnancy differs.

Definately nothing to worry about. Heres a description from Wiki

Linea nigra (Latin for "black line") is a dark vertical line that appears on the abdomen during about three quarters of all pregnancies.[1] The brownish streak is usually about a centimeter in width. The line runs vertically along the midline of the abdomen from the pubis to the umbilicus, but can also run from the pubis to the top of the abdomen.[2] Linea nigra is due to increased melanocyte-stimulating hormone made by the placenta[3], which also causes melasma and darkened nipples. Fair-skinned women show this phenomenon less often than women with darker pigmentation.[citation needed] Before it appears it may be more faintly visible as a white line

good to know not everyone gets one i do have darker nipples though :s
just wondered cos some you ladies have one and i had one in my other 2 pregnancies
but if not everyone gets them thats cool lol x
