I am due next month and have just started maternity leave...lying on the couch eating dorritos right now trying to get motivated to go and do the groceries. hey girl long time no see, Hows the little one doing how old is he? I see your trying for another congrats hope it works out for ya, just found out my self that im pregnant again, looks like they will be a yr apart as long as everything goes well , so wish me luck.

Sorry for the late reply ladies I have only got discharged from hospital today and they only had 1hr free wi fi each day. Anyway on the 13th march our boy max came into this world with a grand dramatic entrance...nearly everything that could have gone wrong did but I am just so greatful he is here with us and we are all doing well.

On the day my waters went I was not getting any contractions and was asked by my MW to pop into the hospital to be put on monitors and he appeared to be nice and happy still in there..I was going to be left until 8 in the morning before they would induce me. That was until she requested to check my pad to confirm it was my waters...she said there was a green colour to them and it was meconium in my waters...they were inducing immediately so off rushed my dh to get my hospital bags.

Contractions picked up quickly within 6 hours on drip I had made it to around 4cm and was needing an epidural...after being in labour for 12 hours I was stuck at 7cm and was not progressing further even though I was having good contractions. The head was still also high and they thought it was likely he had got into a difficult position but wanted to give me two more hours to see how things went. However within an hour of this my blood pressure shot up, my face, feet and hands were swelling like crazy and i was also getting headaches. Now toxemia had presented itself with traces of protein in urine I was sent to theatre for an emergency c section and by 10am that morning our gorgeous boy was born. Was definitely not the birth I wanted but so worth it when I got to see this wee face Max Reeve Humphrey born 13/03/2014 weighing 9 pd 2
