August 2024 Testing Thread

Hello, friends!
Starting an August testing thread for those of us TTC this month. Wishing you all lots of success, BFPs and healthy babies in 9 months

Hey hun, I’ll be testing 26/27th August, I haven’t had July af yet but I feel like I’m out. Bfn’s 4days before af and I’m 7/8dpo I believe. So on to the next month soon x

I’m currently on af. I’m gonna try this month if I actually ovulate. I have an appt Aug 8th to hopefully start medicated cycles if I don’t get pregnant this month.

Awesome. I think I will start testing around the 10th depending on when I O this month. I’ve been sick and on a trip away from DH so haven’t dtd yet. Will test LH today and hopefully get to BDing tonight and over the next couple of days.

I’m glad you have a doc appt to start medicated cycles in case you don’t get your BFP this cycle.

I need to have a few tests done, but will likely plan an embryo transfer cycle later this fall, if I don’t fall pregnant on my own before then.
We have two embryos from our three IVF cycles last spring (2023) The initial embryologist labeled both of the embryos “abnormal” but we’ve met with a genetic specialist and they said that these particular embryos, if implanted, can end in a healthy pregnancy and baby. There is a possibility of miscarriage but that’s the case with any pregnancy unfortunately. We will transfer them both at the same time.
So, that’s where we are as we near the end of TTC our last baby.

Thankyou, I don’t think it’s likely all tests are bfn and I’m 4days away from af. I’d have thought I’d have gotten even a squirter at this point if I were pregnant.

Sounds like a good plan. Hopefully later this month you get your bfp before even having to move on to the rest. Good Luck!

I’ve just ordered some Myo-Inositol hoping to kickstart my cycle. Idk if it’ll help at all but at least the vitamins may give me an increase in energy and health anyways. I’m 8 months pp, breastfeeding, and no period yet. After my first child it took until 17 or 18 months pp for my period to return. I hope to get pregnant with our third a bit sooner, as dh and I are a bit older.
It would be a dream to catch the first egg! I will be testing this month if i experience any changes but i likely may not have a reason to test quite yet.
LH strips have gotten pretty dark but have not turned positive.

That’s exciting. I hope your cycle comes back soon and you can TTC for your third.

Well, it Looks like I haven’t missed Ovulation while out of town and sick. Temp is down this morning. I don’t know if I will feel like BD today, but will try if I get a positive LH test.

Hello everyone, I’m not sure when I’ll be testing exactly as I tend to start testing as soon as 4-5dpo lol, but af is supposed to arrive at around the 14th

@elmum we are in a bit of a similar situation, we’re planing on an embryo transfer in January if I don’t get pregnant before that. We have 6 embryos left from our previous IVF, they’re not genetically tested.

Having to switch doctors at this point, adds a lot of hassle.
As for this cycle- I am officially in the TWW. And we managed to get in with one try. That’s all it takes, right? I’m 2 dpo today, testing on the 10th!

Fingers crossed for you hun, I got my bfp and tests are slowly but surely progressing so I’m cautiously saying my eggo is prego.. x

Approaching my fertile window. I'm supposed to ovulate around August 9th and we just started to dtd today. I really hope this is our month.
