Beach Bump Graduates!

Linds i have just put Niamh in 0-3 gros, she is such a little fatty you should see the cheeks!!

love her! Soph is wearing one that was faaar too big at birth. Too small now....

we do! Oooh Claire I spoke to my insurance co yesterday - they don't give a rats arse when I drive as long as the GP has ok'd it. Off to the docs tomorrow to get the ok, so hopefully should be back on the road. Huzzah!

got a chance to catch up.

Lindsay - lovely pic of dragon and sophie.

clare - totally in awe of you walking 4 miles to your parents house. have done about an hours ironing every day just to get up to date with mine and DH clothes as my mum has been great and done all the kids stuff when she has been here. Cleaning will wait til tomorrow when DH is home as he is doing the hoovering and my mum did my dusting last week so planning a quick dust round tomorrow:winkwink:

freckles - glad elliot is getting some good sleeps in so you can get your rest too.

gw - sounds like hailey is doing well.

SB - sorry that you have food poisoning. How horrid to have that on top of everything else from having a newborn. Big Hugs, hope you get some rest tonight.

BV - could Jill be on her next growth spurt and cluster feeding hence the need for milk??

caz - definately get the sleep when Ajay is sleeping you don't know what kind of night you will be in for. I would love to sleep in the day when Logan is asleep but with Josh being around I don't like to even though I know he wouldn't do anything bad.

afm - just had a visit from my job share partner who has taken a career break whilst I am on maternity so caught up with gossip from work. It was lovely to see her and we had a good old chinwag.

chilling this afternoon with Josh as he is away tomorrow for nearly 3 weeks so having some quality time with him.

Claire - we was all put on our fronts too so I might ask the HV about it, although even if she said it was ok I know I wouldn't be able to sleep! It's a lose lose situation lol.

I took Elliot out to meet a friend for a drink today and he was a pickle! He was asleep when we left but woke up in the car and needed feeding there but still kept crying! I felt like everyone was staring - what a stressful experience lol

Hi mummies!!

Holly had her first sports day today- she looked sooo grown up!

I think I deserve some sort of award for today- it peed down at sports day and N wanted a feed so while holding an umbrella with one hand, I (discretely lol!) whipped my boob out and got N on whilst keeping dry and hidden with the other- it was my first public feed too! :) Honestly the weather was shite- you'd have all peed your pants laughing at me- goodness knows what I looked like lol!

So 3am seems to be a popular time with our lot then?!

Lovely pic of your 2 Linds!!

One handed typing again sorry- I'm lurking though! Glad everyone's doing ok- hope you feel better SB :hugs:

Oooh well done Doods, now that is the type of multi-tasking mummy i want to be! Mucho impressed! I couldn't find a medal smilie so here's a flower :flower:

you get a medal from me doods!!

ive been back to mw today, got to have anti's as stitches not healing properly :( she said if it isnt any better in a week i will have to go and see a consultant at the hospital :(
More importantly though is that the little man is absolutely fine!

I am having the same issues with baby grows, Joshua's legs are just too long for newborn ones so he is in the 0-3 and they just look a little baggy round the top!

I have no idea what time i was up in the night it was somewhere between 3 and 4 though, will have to log on next time!

One sided post but can I ask what everyone is doing about contraception? I have an appt tonight at my family planning clinic and have no idea what form of contraception I want to go on!

I was kn the combined pill for 9 years so not sure what else is out there - I know you aren't allowed the combined pill whilst BFing. I dont want anything that prevents pregnancy for years as we will want to try for another bubba in a year or two! Any experiences on the implant or mini pill?

I was on mini pill for a few years, I didnt have any issues with it at all. I thought it had cocked my cycles up but turned out to be pcos!

I'm going on the combined pill when i can as apparently it deals with a lot of the pcos symptoms and regulates the hormones.

Doods I have never been more impressed by your prowess as a woman and mother. truly legendary!

LOL M should have filmed me- I managed to do it without getting in a fluster but looking like a twat at the same time pmsl!

I'm confuzzled re contraception- at the hospital the MW said that the reason my milk went with H was the pills I was on- my community MW said in the 20 years she'd been a mw she'd never heard of the pill stopping milk supply (she seemed like a bit of a knob though...)
so I don't know? I don't want to go back on the pill as I'm scarred of losing my supply, but I don't know about other forms of contraception!
We think we just stick with these two little beauts so don't want any accidents lol!

What's the deal with these coils?

I'm as confuzzled as you Doodle!! I also read the pill can affect milk supply but then people said to just come off it if that happens?! I have no idea about the coil but was considering the implant. Though I then googled it (I google everything!) and there was bad reviews ... but then there's bad reviews on everything *sigh*

Might just wait to see what they advise at the family planning clinic before I make a decision.

I think we might just use condoms for a bit. I know I'm as barren as the bloody sahara but wouldn't it just be the case that I take a chance and end up pregnant! We're likely to stay at just two kids but would like the option for another. Hence my look of sheer horror when the consultant offered to tie my tubes while they were in there!

Freckles I also google everything. I just can't make decisions these days as everything has at least one shite review. And they're the ones we believe, lets face it!

Haha I know DM, if there's 100 pod reviews and 1 bad one I always think about that one and then can't make a decision - I am the worlds worst decision maker.

Was thinking about using condoms too at least til I stop BFing and then go on the combined pill again. Will see what they say at my appt.

Can definately imagine your look of horror when they suggested that at the hosp!

Oh I have missed loads today. I will put some new pics up of Niamh on facebook when I get a chance. She is getting big so quickly.

Linds I also spoke to insurance company at weekend and they said I could drive! Cannot wait to get behind the wheel again! Im really bored at home!

Moira - I am trying to walk to shift my sexy over hang (which is still infected and smelling foul) I don't think it's doing much good but Niamh loves the fresh air and sleeps in the pram.

Doods- weather in Sussex was poo today :( Well done for BF in public.

Bec - aren't they always pickles when you want them to be good!

Re: contraception I think I'm just going to go back on the pill. Sucks to have to take something everyday again after not having to think about it for 11 months.

Feeling really overwhelmed today! D is on lates and Niamh is colicy in the evenings and I feel miserable being stuck in the house all day long. I need to get out and find some baby friends!

Georgie - hope your stitches get better. I'm still on antis plus bp medication still. Can you believe I still have PE in my blood? 3 weeks post partem I thought it went once the placenta went away!!

Linds - where are you going to watch HP? I may have to join you sometime for a newbie film. If I'm not on before will catch those of you up for the 3am feed :)

Guildford Odeon. They do newbie screenings every thursday at 11:15am. Also worthy of note in Guildford is the Toddler Splash session at the Spectrum which is Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 1030 til 1200. Under 5's and parents only. I only ever took Dragon in for half an hour at a time when he was teensy but it was lovely. The water is lovely and warm. I just used to take him so I was chest deep and swirl him around in the water.

we'll have to meet up soon. I gave Caz my number too so hopefully she can come and join us as she's not far. And Maria is close too.

Will definately have to do some of those activities. Guildford is prob the closest Odeon to me as the other is Brighton! I need to get out soon! And want to meet these babies :)

Morning everyone - am in the 2am feed club today! Elliot woke at 1.30am but did go to sleep at 10pm so not too bad.

Had my appt and have decided to go on the mini pill and then change to the combined pill. She said I can go on this when Elliot is 6 months old even if I'm still BFing. Apparently it's the combined pill that decreases milk supply and not the mini pill.
