Beach Bump Graduates!

Well, having been told by my heart specialist that I am not to have any more kids (we only wanted 2 anyway) because the strain of pregnancy is too much for my heart - my hubby will be heading in to get the old snip snip! :)

Morning all. Think I have mastitis. Not happy! Left boob just feels like It's been kicked.... doc for me later.

Oh Linds that is rubbish. My friend had it twice and said that it was terrible. I hope you manage to see the doctor today - do they advise to BF through it? Big hugs x

:( Linds, it hurts im not really pumping any more because of mastitis and the meds im taking giving Niamh thrush constantly my poor baby is riddled with it on her bottom and mouth.

:) yay Caz for getting some sleep. You will be fine today :hugs:

As promised here are a few pics of my little fatty, I will put a few more on FB but for those who dont have it here she is at 3.5 weeks.

gw, good luck with DH's snip.

DM, that's no good. My breasts really hurt after each feeding.

Claire, Niamh is so cute!

Tor and Eve had their babies! So exciting!

Hope the rest of you ladies are getting some rest and your babies are doing well.

Jonathan hasn't been sleeping well at all the last couple nights. He grunts and strains all night trying to fart or poop. I am going to talk to his Dr. about it on Monday. I think he has trapped gas. All he wants to do is eat and cuddle. My poor little man. :(

Clarea, what a cutie pie! :)

DM, it's awful that you got mastitis. :hugs:

Doodle, well done on multitasking! I'm impressed :)

About contraception, I think I'm going for condoms for now, but I''ll go back on the pill eventually. It's the only thing that has worked on my acne. My face is so bad...I look like a teenager :(

I am not even thinking about contraception....having as many stitches as i did, i think its going to be a while before hubby is allowed anywhere near! lol!

Linds, claire etc, would love if we could arrange a meet up, i still have family to visit down your way (didnt get there when pregnant :S) so can still tie everything in hopefully....

Anyone know how many poo's a day i should be expecting now Joshy is all FF? I am worried he isnt going enough....

Georgie, def have to meet up at some point. I read in a baby book that 1 poo a day is fine and baby should be taken to the Dr if they have not opened there bowels in 48 hours.

FF babies get constipated from time to time apparently! :)

Niamh is a gorgeous little cutie! Check out those chubster cheeks! Adorable.

Linds, ouch for the mastitis, sorry to hear that :(

Ahh I hope you get the mastitis sorted Linds, I'm dreading getting that!

Niamh is sooo cute! Lovely pics!

Can I come to Guildford too when you meet up?! It's not very far from me. I hope you enjoy HP!

Ahhh- N's crying, back on in a bit! :)

Thanks Claire, think i am panicking over nothing as usual.... I have given him some plain water today as read that can help, not that he likes it!

Forgot to ask how your :holly: are doing?

I give N water too but mainly for her thrush! My boobs are getting better  think i got a bit of mastitis a few days ago it was SORE!! Getting better now though.

Course you can come meet up with us Doods, where is it you are? I know its somewhere in West Sussex near me but cant remember where for some reason im thinking petworth way??

Close- I'm in Midhurst just next door :) You're not too far are you?

BB - Hailey is getting formula and breast milk - she poos every second day. She is Aldo on an iron supplement so there have been a couple of times it has been 3 days. Sterilized water does help :)

re bunged up FF babies, not sure if you're supposed yto but with H i used to give him one of his bottles with one scoop too little formula in it so it was more watery. Or my HV said dissolve a bit of brown sugar or put a dash of orange juice into the water drink. Soph was crapping a dozen times a day but is down to twice now. She also has wind issues - I give her some infacol colic meds before most feeds.

It's so great you guys live so close together. The US is so spread out, so we have no chance of getting together without a major road trip. I live closest to SB and that's even over 4hrs away. Either way, it's a huge production to get out of the house with Jill and all the baby gear. I'm sure we'll find a way to make the process a bit faster.

Got more sleep last night. In spite of it, I still had a hard time getting out of bed. Sleep is so addicting...hehe. I slept from midnight till 10:30am...off and on. It was heaven. It's a good thing too because I need to be more human for more visitors tonight.

Hi everyone,

Had good day today - only had one nap though so am getting really tired now. Planned one for this afternoon but Ajay decided to feed earlier than his 3 hours so missed that window. I'm hoping to get another nap in after dinner.

I think I have decided now that I will stop breastfeeding. It's not a decision I have taken lightly but I am not very happy doing it and I am finding it quite stressful on my body as well as on my mind. I know it's not the answer to everything but I find it so physically and emotionally draining and such a massive responsibility on my shoulders.

I feel huge guilt (I know I shouldn't) and fear that he won' develop as well but I just feel that I can't keep going like this. I take my hat off to those of you who are continuing.... I wish I could.

Do you know what the best way is to stop? I am expecting that it won't be easy on my breasts but also I don't want to upset Ajay in the process - that is my main priority.

Thanks, x

Caz i have just stopped too literally two days ago. I had to as im on a really strong dose of anti b's for my infected c sec wound and It was constantly causing Niamh to get thrush first on her tounge then her tounge and her bottom and she was miserable!!

The guilt is terrible but you have to remember that a happy and healthy mummy is the most important thing to little Ajay.

As for stopping I reduced how often I pumped and have now stopped pumping. Boobs really hurt and i think i got a bit of mastitis but it soon passed and they are feeling much better today.

Niamh is much more settled on formula and sleeps for longer periods of time and I feel much better. She is putting on weight was weighed today and now weighs 10lbs and is a right little porker!!

I to take my hat off to all those who are able to breast feed it is really HARD.

Hey, look at Harry. Hes glowing with health! Ajays had a great start, the colustrum is the most important xxx
