Beach Bump Graduates!

Amanda dont feel bad, i have been unable to BF from the start and to be honest, im at peace and happy with my descision. Harrison is thriving on formula and as long as his tummy is full and he is happy then i have done the right thing in my opinion.

Katie, welcome to the thread, a lovely bunch of ladies on here!

Good luck today Simmy, thinking of you xx

AFM Had another pretty good night with Harrison, he is so completly chilled out i cant believe it! Daddy is just feediing him now. I love them both soooo much xx

As supected Joshua was awake most of the night....

Hiya ladies can i join you? I was looking for people to chat to on here ive just posted a thread asking if anyone had a baby in May! I saw this thread but thought it was a picture thread of yummy mummies sunbathing! I should have looked inside it! :dohh:

Im Katie I had a baby girl May 19th named Florence Charlotte weighing 6lbs 13oz x

Welcome Katie! Come on in....! xx

Simmy - poor you. Hang on in there, you must have got through so many DVD's by now! Do you have an epidural to cope with the pain?

Amanda - please don't worry about the feeding. I was the same and feel so much better now we are expressing and using forumla rathering than latching on. Even with the lack of sleep, it has made it so much better for me.

BB - sorry Joshua was up most of the night. Ajay was a pickle too after such a wonderful nights sleep on Sunday.

Mel - Harrison is a dream baby, could he teach Ajay how to sleep please?!?!

GW - yay for a trip home to the UK! Hope it goes well.

AFM - had an on-off night with Ajay. He wouldn't settle for hubbie so we fed him quite a lot as he was so hungry. I eventually got him to sleep for an hour at 3 am and then from 6.30 - now (he just started to cry) so not too bad. But hubbie is back to work tomorrow so worrying about that again as then I'm on my own. It's so much easier with two pairs of hands!

x

hi Katie - you're more than welcome to join us but just to let you know we all have July babies so will be a bit behind you!

Hann - might be worth putting the word "july" in the title?

Morning all!

Simmy am really hoping that baby has made an appearance

Isn't it funny how many of us have had csecs and/or struggled to BF? This is why I get vexed by all the people who bang on about how easy and natural birth and BF are. I have to say, Soph has been a right grotbags over the last few days and i get visions of formula and bottles so I can just hand her to Martin and get on with the housework! Sigh... must persevere. She slept well last night which was a relief after the previous night's yoyo baby! She went from 1130pm to 0430 then from 0450 to 0830 which was lovely. She's asleep next to me now. Butter wouldn't melt.

And for those of you who missed my FB post yesterday, we had public poonami! She seems to be pooing every 2-3 days at the mo. She decided to poo while I was in a shop. And she was in her carrier. And her nappy leaked. Onto my feet....

Suffice to say I left the shop fairly quickly!

I agree with you, cant believe how many of us have had C sections! And the BF, well i dont know what i thought it would be like but i thought id be able to do it...Nada!
If you have had a C section before do you automatically have the option of one again? I know in a lot of cases you can have a VBAC and ive been told there isnt any reason why i shouldnt be able to VBAC but i just wondered if you automatically got a choice in the matter? Because I HATED the labour part. lol x

if you had a traumatic birth you can ask for another csec. I have to say. elective caesarian was fantastic. I can't recommend it enough! They will try and push you into a vbac but you can absolutely say no.

Caz sounds like Ajay just likes his cuddles and is awake and alert! Hang in there hun. Can you get someone to come and help you when neel goes back to work? Eg your sister/mum/MIL?

Mel - thanks for your birth story, Harrison sounds like an awesome baby! Sorry to hear the birth process was a bit traumatic. But it seems you're recovering from it so that's good.

GW - thanks for the info re your induction, it always helps to know what could be happening! Yay for your trip to the Uk!

Afm Things seem to be moving a tiny bit faster today, they came to get me about 9 this morning and I am finally in a labour room. Just on the monitor now, they'll examine me soon to see if there's any cervix action going on! I did have a teeny bit of show this morning so maybe things are progressing. Caz - thanks for asking hun, I didn't need any pain relief really as the contractions were bearable and by night time they had worn off a little. They gave me codeine and a sleeping pill which allowed me 6 hours of beautiful uninterrupted sleep! Happy days... I've not slept that well in months! And I don't think I will anytime soon either, lol ;)

Oooh good to hear from you Simmy. Hoping today is baby's birthday!

No such luck linds!! Although am pmsl at the poonami incident

Yes fx for today but at this rate... Well who knows!

Thanks Linds, i think under the circumstances I would be consultant led next time anyway due to the way things went in the end.
Not that im thinking about it for a while!! xx

If I have another baby I will definately be having a repeat C-Sec nobody could talk me into even attempting another vaginal birth, the Dr who performed the section said even if N had been a smaller baby my pelvis is small and I wouldnt of birthed her. Can you imagine the size of the next one if my first was 8lb7 and a girl who are in theory suppose to be smaller. :)

Simmy - Really hope today is the day!!! COME ON BABY!!! or should i say COME ON CERVIX

Katie - Welcome to the thread, you will be able to teach us all some stuff and give us tales of things to come.

AFM - Not to bad a night with "The Boss" aka my angelic, butter wouldn't melt baby Niamh. She is suffering from a bit of constipation at the mo so still wont take a full feed and is currently lying next to me writhing about in pain as she grunts and strains and pops out giant farts. The smell is not good I have had to open the bedroom window and door so im not enclosed in it. :)

just random tummy complaints. its old school baby remedy. you can get it at any chemist or supermarket
