That's awesome SB, clever Katie! bless her. How are you doing in yourself? You seem in good spirits which is lovely
In terms of what we're doing learning-wise, I think a lot of what they learn at the moment is simple everyday tasks, like learning to eat a bowl of porridge by themselves, learning to help put their shoes on etc. They do a lot of that at nursery. We're also focusing on simple instructions - eg "Go and put the ball in the box", and then making it harder, "Put the yellow ball in the box". Also counting, colours, shapes (Leo is obsessed with triangles!), learning songs - we're currently singing a lot of twinkle twinkle little star. But it's not like concentrated learning iykwim, it's just learning through playing.
Mel, great that harrison's sleeping well again! I hate tidying toys up, it's the most boring job ever!
Hann, hope your day's been ok. Is it tomorrow that your parents are coming?
Bec, glad elliot's feeling better!
Maria, hope the farm was good - you're so good at getting out and about lots with the girls!
Caz, enjoy your day off tomorrow. Sorry to hear about your sister's dog, that's sad.
Georgie, same, sorry to hear about your childhood dog. Must be extra hard to cope with along with the hormones... How did the visit to your colleagues go?
AFM my nose is ok, thank goodness - it still hurts a bit but at least it doesn't look wonky which was my worst fear! Leo had his first day in the Toddlers room today (they transfer them at 18 months). He screamed when I left him but they told me he'd been brilliant all day, he just got on with playing with the other children, ate most of his lunch and had a normal nap. I'm so relieved as it's a slightly different environment there to the baby room.
