Beach Bump Graduates!

We were meant to be at an Nct nearly new sale at 12 but Annabelle got up so late that she's just gone to sleep. Guess we save money this way lol!

Anyway, Caz you are doing so well! I know it's sad for your FIL that Ajay is not so happy around him but its kinda nice for you to be the first priority again and feel like you are his world, which of course you are! I'm glad you said no to the brunch, I think twice in one weekend is quite enough! I think you should definitely try to carry it on and have more family time without them from now on as it obviously does you and your little family the world of good!
My mil has gone yay! She went yesterday lunch time so we have had most of the weekend without her. It's funny but she clearly doesn't enjoy parts of our life. I took her to soft play with Annabelle and me on Friday and she was obviously bored and didn't want to stay long - she kept asking Annabelle if she wanted to go home! Then yesterday morning we went to
Bushy park and she was fine for the first 20 minutes but she lost interest after that especially when Annabelle stopped holding her hand and was with us.
She also got upset because Annabelle still wouldn't let her give her the bottle - complete screams like you wouldn't believe. Really don't know if it was because of her having the ear infection because it should have gone by yesterday really but she was still very unhappy being cuddled etc by mil. And mil was all upset and wounded by it but its hardly our fault!
Not sure if I updated on fri but mil managed to get an hours nap while I got nothing, was highly annoying!
She's back again for 2 days at the end of march. Can't wait lol! Thing is if she actually was helpful and took Annabelle and I had a rest then I could see a benefit but instead I still do all the looking after of Annabelle and I still make all of the meals etc so it's no help.
She thinks she is really helpful though because she irons gregs shirts (well I don't do that anyway!) and she cleans the kitchen and bathroom (yes helpful but I do those too as they get messy so quickly! She's still hinting about coming for a long time in April so not sure about that one! Last thing I will need heavily pregnant is another person or two to look after. Plus it's just annoying how she changes her voice to sound like a child. She was doing it yesterday to Greg just to try and sound vulnerable and need attention.
Anyway enough of the rant on her! :)

Thanks ladies. It was a good experience this time round thankfully.

Hann, no tears, nothing this time! Not really sure why I felt it but although it hurt, I do think it helped me control it better iykwim?

Simmy, vb last time but J was forcepped out, episiotomy etc

Caz, not sure how the sleep happened but making the most of it! She's not been feeding that regularly yet, and even if I do wake her every four hours she isn't interested!
She's becoming more and more awake and hungry though so only a matter of time!

aFM, I feel awful this morning. The thing I never got any warning about was the after pains...where everything is shrinking and contracting back. Apparently they aren't apparent after your first but get worse with subsequent pregnancies. They are honestly worse than some of my contractions. I thought I was feeling great too but I was doubled over in agony this AM, J wanted to take me to a&e he was petrified. Spoke to the MW though and she said normal so been sat with my feet up since.

Stock up on strong pain killers ladies!!

:hugs: Georgie the pains are the worst!! I had them after Naomi and was quite shocked by them! It was lovely to read how the birth went, I'm so pleased for you that it went well :)

Yay for MIL leaving Hann! Sounds like you've had a nice weekend- is Annabelle OK now?

Holly and I went to the cinema this morning together so that was nice, then this afternoon she has a Birthday party to go to so will be worn out by tomorrow! I'm now thinking of things to do with her this week- it's hard as I love having her home but everything's always so crowded during half term!

Georgie, thanks for sharing your birth story, amazing how quick you went from 5cm to pushing! Boo to the pains though, i wonder if it will be the same for me?

Caz, glad all is well and Neel is being more considerate when it comes to his parents. Thats great and hope it continues.

Hann, glad for you that MIL has gone for a while! What does she expect if Annabelle prefers you? She doesnt see her that often and you and Greg are her parents! I still cant believe she took a nap the other day and didnt give you a break! Shocking.
As for the other thing all i casn say is....OMG!

Simmy hope you are ok hun and the sickness is staying at bay to an extent. When does Paul go away? Will you go to your parents when he does?

Maria, Lovely that you and Holly went to the cinema together today, i hope to have days like that with just Harrison too, as much as all together is nice i think its nice to treat the older one to things like that too. I dont like half term at the mo as all the things we normally do are either rammed or cancelled. will have to think of some stuff for this week.

AFM its been a bit of a strange weekend, me and Alan have been snapping at each other a bit, i know ive been in the wrong too but he seems to have reverted back a bit to when he was lower, i hope its just a passing thing. Saying that we have done some nice things with H, feeding ducks at the park yesterday and zoo today so in that respect its been pretty good. We still have tomorrow too.
My parents are in Ireland for 3 days from tomorrow and wont see them till thurs then on fri i have a MW appointment.
Harrison has been in really good form the last few days ,hes been happy and slept and eaten well and took decent naps so pleased with that.
Not a lot else to report other than that!

Maria sounds like you had a lovely day - it must be nice to do separate things with the girls. What did you see? Guess you don't get to see anything interesting as shes too young! Mind you I do love a good disney film!

Georgie - I am not looking forward to those pains!! We can take ibroprofen after we've given birth though can't we? Even when BF? Probably a stupid question! Hope they stop soon, and good to know that you didn't end up with a tear or episiotomy, I really hope I can say the same.

Mel - sorry about you and Alan, maybe its just because he's now working and you aren't so he's missing out on lots of lovely H time. I bet today was nice though with the zoo etc. I want to take Annabelle too but think we'll be doing the farm next weekend because its lambing season so want Annabelle to see the baby lambs!
Hope you get some rest too while Alan is off tomorrow.

Had a nice day, ended up in richmond park and also made muffins (the sugar variety lol) but they were tiny, I made 12 and Greg ate 4 in one sitting! I think he liked them!
Off to get my 28 week GTT test and mw appointment tomorrow morning so will update after that. Pretty interested to see where the baby is lying and how much I am measuring in fundal height. I feel HUGE!! Greg is going into work late and watching Annabelle during the appointment so thats good.
No other plans for tomorrow as its half term so nothing happening! My parents are here tues - thurs so I *should* get a rest.....if Annabelle lets me! My dad is doing loads on the garden which will be great. We are trying to tidy it up and make it safe for Annabelle to run around in for Spring/Summer.
Anyway Iggle piggle time so better go! :)

We saw Rise of the guardians, it was quite good but I think quite scary in parts for Holly- she came and sat on my knee for part of it! It's not a new film I don't think (2012 maybe), Cineworld do childrens films for £1 on Sunday mornings so it's good for first visits although Holly's been a few times now.

Sorry about you and Alan Mel, we have days sometimes where we're snappy at each other too, I hate it! Glad to hear H is sleeping and napping a bit better now and you're getting more rest.

The muffins sound good Hann! I've never attempted them before although we do a lot of baking- are they easy to make? I hope your appointment goes well tomorrow :)

Never heard of the film but then I'm completely out of touch with films etc as I never go to the cinema! Bless her for sitting on your lap though!

Muffins are ridiculously easy to make - and yummy!!

I didn't know the cinemas did that - I'd love to do that but I doubt Ajay would sit still for two minutes let alone two hours! I might look into that though.....

Han - mmmm muffins, lovely! Wel done Greg for eating four in one go. Glad MIL has gone - how did Greg find it?

Mel - so sorry that you and Alan aren't getting on too well - hopefully he isn't going back to feeling low, maybe it's just a pressure thing as there isn't long to go now?

Georgie - I didn't know it was worse second time around.... great! Hope it clears soon for you.

AFM - lovely day today. Saw my old housemates for lunch and we had a good gossip and catch up then we just played with Ajay in the garden for ages and chilled out. Busy week at work this week so I need to get a early night tonight! x

Sounds like a lovely relaxed Sunday Caz. Hope work isn't too bad this week.

So was really excited about my MW appointment this morning and I shouldn't have been! Even with the blood test it was over in 4 minutes! I thought she would at least do a fundal measurement but this midwife was old school and apparently believes that her feeling is all thats required even though I pointed out that I had been told by the consultant that if I'm measuring 2 weeks behind I have to have a scan because of Annabelle being small. She told me that she just doesn't do them and that she knows that the baby is around average by feeling it. I know that the fundal height is hardly accurate either but I have a bit more trust in that because Annabelle was always 2-3 weeks behind on that, but on touch they always told me that she was average or slightly bigger. Well anyway nothing I could do as she wasn't interested! Good news is that my blood pressure has gone up to 100/60 which is fab, though she did say that its likely my problem is low BP in the afternoons so I still need to be careful but I'm happy with that. Oh and the baby is head down. She booked in my 34 and 36 week appointments too so at least I have them sorted.
And that was that!
Dropped Greg off at the station so he could go to work then got home and had an early lunch and now put Annabelle so bed. Quiet afternoon here probably then have mum and dad here Tues-Thurs which will be nice.

Mel - I'm doing my cupcake decorating course tomorrow night, exciting!!

Hope everyone else is enjoying half term. I generally find half term/holidays boring as nothing is on hence why I have mum and dad here. At least its nice weather though :)

Maria - saw you are off somewhere exciting - have a nice day!

Georgie - hope the pains are lessening xx

Evening all

Hann, i always find MW appointments a let down now especially as i dont think a lot of my MW lol, i use them more as milestones now. Glad all was well although suprised she didnt check your fundal height. Good news that your BP has risen too.

Caz, have a good week at work!

Maria, hope you had a nice adventure today where did you end up going?

Georgie, love the pic of Matilda in a floral babygrow on FB!

Simmy, hows it going has Paul gone away now?

AFM, Alan and me are back to normal today which is good. We havent done a lot, just a bit of shopping and playing with H etc.
Last night we found water coming through a ceiling and thought it was coming from the boiler, had a plumber round today, turns out it was and will cost £180 to fix which is annoying seeing as this house is less than 3 years old. Apparently its partly due to the fact the water round here is really hard, but even so. So tomorrow ive got to wait in for our car to be picked up as its going in for repair, cant remember if i said but a bus hit it again the other week outside our house, and also the plumber is coming round to d o the work, so no going out and its gonna drive both me and H crazy, as Alan is at work.

On the upside, H is being a sweetie at the mo, its like hes gone up a level in his speech and understanding in the last few days, hes using word association a lot more and his sense of humor is so infectious, i cant believe how lucky we are, love my little amazing boy!:cloud9:

Evening all, hope everyone's doing well today.

Mel, aaah Harrison sounds like a sweetheart, bless him. Glad things are better with you and A today - we often have days where we snap a bit, usually when we've seen too much of each other. Hope alan's ok and not starting to feel down again - have you spoken to him about it?

Hann, glad you survived the mil's visit, goodness she's a pain isn't she, she sounds like a very strange woman! Hope you manage to get a bit more of a break with your parents here this week.

Caz, sounds like you've had a lovely weekend and a nice PIL-free sunday, whoop whoop!

Georgie, ouchie, the after pains sound horrendous. I'd totally forgotten about those, I did get them last time but they were mild compared to what you're describing. I wonder why it's worse the second time... Hope it subsides soon. Loving the pictures of Matilda in all her pretty girlie gear, so sweet. How's josh been with her after the initial day?

Maria sounds like you were off somewhere nice with the girls today, where did you end up going? Was lovely weather here.

AFM Paul's starting his travelling again this week, he's got loads coming up. I can barely keep track of where he's going but i do know he's in Moscow this week. He left this morning so about midday Leo and I headed over to my parents and we're staying til thurs. This afternoon my sister had a little family gathering for a bunch of our cousins who have children the same age. It was lovely but knackering! Oh and Leo managed to headbutt me in the nose really hard, it hurt so badly I cried in front of everyone, how embarrassing! I'm pretty sure I heard something crack too - great, the last thing i need is a broken wonky nose!

Anyway leo's at nursery tomorrow - his first day in the big kids room! So i'm looking forward to a day of resting and catching up on my work.

night night all x

Hi girls just a quick note been a busy day and have a fried to stay tonight so not had time to post.

Simmy take care at your mum and dads.

Mel really glad things are better with Alan.

Han yay for your bp going up!

Will post more tomorrow x

Oh Simmy, not ideal that Pauls travelling so much, at least you have your parents help, how you been feeling?
How much time will Paul take off when you have the baby?

AFM Boring day here, Alans at work and im waiting for our car to be picked up and then plumbers to come and fix the boiler so im stuck in, not ideal especially as the sun is shining, have persuaded a friend to pop over though so all is not lost.
H slept till 720aam this moring, complete bliss, so glad the weeks of night time wakings appear to be in the past!

Hi will be back on in a bit but just thought I'd let you know I just ordered a few books for Annabelle in preparation for the new baby - they are 'there's a house inside my mummy' and 'my new baby' and 'I'm a big sister'. They should be here by the end of the week so will let you know if they are any good but figured it could be a good way to get then to adjust to a new little person :)

We've got There's a House Inside My Mummy! I must admit Leo is not too fussed about it at the moment - he usually loves books but he's not very interested in this one. I'll keep working on it!

Hi, will post properly later, I'm reading along but quite busy with the girls.

The books sound good! I wish I'd gotten something like that for Holly. We had a couple we hired from the library that were OK but they look great!

What a pain about having to get the plumber in Mel! I hope it all goes OK.

Hope you have a nice time at your Parents' Simmy!

How are things with Neel's parents being back Caz? Are they still going well?

Off to meet MIL and the girls cousins for a trip to the farm in a bit- make the most of the nice weather!

Il be back later too, am just off to take Matilda in to meet everyone at work :)

Hey everyone,

Georgie i've said it on FB but congrats on the birth of Matilda! Thanks for posting your birth story - can't believe how quickly you went from 5cm to birth! Hope you're getting on ok with two! Was going to ask you, would you recommend the pink lining bags? Are they big enough to fit two lots of things in?! Thinking about getting one.

Re the after pains I had them after Elliot and they were horrendous! I had to have a bath almost every time to take away the pain. We had visitors over once and I had the pains and I was just doubled over in pain and couldn't even get up to say bye. Not looking forward to them being worse :nope:

Mel - glad things are better with Alan and H is sleeping through again! Sorry to hear about having to get a plumber - so annoying paying for things like this isn't it! Didn't know a bus hit your car again - how comes it keeps happening?!

Simmy I hope your nose is ok?!

Hann - glad to hear your BP is back up and baby is head down!

Elliot's feeling better now which is good - last week he was so clingy but he's back to his usual happy self.

Hann, the books sound good, i think i may have left it a little laate but may have a look for a book or 2 too.

Freckles, I have a pink lining bag, i love it, i used to carry quite a bit with me when H was younger, now not so much, i would think it would be ok for 2 although im planning on using a little rucksack for Hs bits to keep seperate otherwise think he will be going for bottles and allsorts out of the other bag!

Simmy, hows the nose? Bet that was sore, i would have cried too! H has done similar with Alan, think its over excitement.

So today not been too bad considering, all went as planned, a friend over this morning and another just popped in for a cuppa too, Alan is home now so has just took the boys for a quick walk before tea, H had a decent nap too so i was able to get a short snooze in myself. The house actually looks like a bomb site now though, toys everywhere!

Hi girls just a quick post as Neel has just gone to collect Ajay from his mums. My sisters dog died today so I'm so sad. I'm scared of dogs but he was like a little person and he was really old. So it's for te best but very sad :(

Will post later once Ajay is asleep x
